I've been getting my nails done regularly for years. This place has been one of the worst experiences. The first time I came here was out of convenience because it's close to where'd I just moved. They did a god job and I left happy! Second time, I wanted the color bubble bath with the most simple flowers on 2 fingers. I showed pictures. After 2 hours and 15 minutes and they could NOT get the flowers right what so ever, I said forget the flowers I have to get home to my babies. They finished at 2h and 40 minutes for the easiest nails ever and I didn't get what I wanted. They didn't charge me which was nice. But I felt awful, literally got in my car and teared up because I felt so bad that they didn't get paid for their time and I was still unhappy with my nails. I also felt obligated to come back and give them another chance. So I did!! My mistake honestly. I am in a wedding this upcoming week (I let them know that) and booked a gel pedi and hard gel fill. Toes look great! The nails look good too, but the experience was not. The top coat on the chrome was beading and separating for some reason. The guy clearly noticed it and didn't care cause he was running behind and rushing. When I said something he said to me "yeah because you hit it on the light" uhhhh no I did not? And if I did, I would have let you know right away. It was obvious that it wasn't from me? He asked if I could come back to fix it. I said no I can't? It took 2.5 hours for my toes and nails and I told them I have an important event this week. I have babies at home and a busy schedule. Why'd he make me feel like it was my fault? And then said "oh my god" when I asked him to fix it right then. Of course everyone in the entire Solon is looking and listening. How awkward. This nail salon absolutely saved the day for me. Right before a trip I had a terribly botched acrylic set done from a different salon here in town. I called Tiptoe Nail Spa last minute, honestly a little panicked hoping someone could help fix my nails and Brendan fit me into their schedule the same day. From the moment I walked in, the service was warm and professional. My tech Sam worked serious magic fixing everything. He carefully reshaped, cleaned up and salvaged my nails. You would never guess how bad they looked before! And the pricing was very reasonable. The salon itself is very clean, modern and just overall super welcoming. For a newer salon, Tiptoe Nail Spa's quality and customer service are seriously impressive. They turned a stressful situation into a positive experience. 10/10 I'll definitely be coming back. I found this salon near my home recently and really wanted to like the service. After going in for about 2 months, I absolutely disliked the service and do not plan on returning. Over these past few months I have got the following services: Tap Nails- This started off great, Sam always did my nails and fixed anything I had issues with. However, on Mothers Day weekend, I messed up and wrote down the wrong day of my appointment and they were still willing to accommodate, even though I had stated I could reschedule. I went in, of course it was packed, but my pedicure was rushed and sloppy, and the tap nails were horrible. I had gotten my own nails very long and the overlay would just keep them firm. However, this set was HORRIBLE. The application was too thin, causing all my real nails to break. I went back in 2 times for repairs before I decided that the best thing to do was to remove and cut down all my nails. Acrylic- I got with acrylic due to them destroying my nails. The first set was okay, shape was off but I fixed it when I got home. However for the fill, Michael did not know how to properly apply acrylic. Rather than apply a bead at a time, how acrylic is normally applied, he applied approximately 5 beads per nail, and packed on the acrylic on each nail, before filing, the acrylic was bumpy and looked BAD! But i trusted his process. I will say my right hand looks okay - but the left is where I am upset. I get my acrylic with powder only and top coat, and the left hand looks bad. You can see his many spots where he added bulk of acrylic and when I asked for it to be fixed, I was gas lit into leaving (also near their closing time), saying it was caused by the powder - which is difficult to believe, when my right hand looked okay. They also charged me $65 for a fill, considering it "gel" when it was just acrylic powder and a top coat! Sanitation: They do NOT clean their tools in between clients. Im diabetic so I take the hygiene very serious and yesterday was the cherry on top. Im not sure if the other techs are better at hiding that they are pulling tools out of the "soiled" tins, but Michael used extremely dirty tools and the files were gunky and appeared to be dirty from nail paint. The buffer was disgustingly flat and falling apart. I think ive given enough chances and will not be returning to this salon! read more

What a gem of a nail salon! Very professional and easy to schedule with. I love that there was a dedicated employee doing scheduling and greeting clients when they walk in. The pedicure chairs are fantastic. I got a regular pedicure and she spent enough time on my cuticles which was great. I did an add on callus treatment which I wouldn't recommend (I don't think it really did much). My only other feedback would be wanting more massage (maybe more pressure?), but it wasn't a dealbreaker at all. I am utterly amazed by how relaxing, professional and caring my time was here. I felt truly pampered. The attention to detail when it came to my gel pedicure and builder gel refill was fantastic. I have never gone to a nail salon so clean and so calming before. The pedicure chairs are to die for and the set up of the manicure tables with the light is so helpful for the workers to be able to see what they are doing. First things first, everyone was very pleasant, we were offered water and made sure we were comfortable. The place is very clean and nicely maintained, the ambiance is soothing. My nail tech appeared mostly uninterested, I was not offered choices for my pedicure, was basically told to sit at a station and soak. There was one small tray of liquid soak added to the soak water, then I was promptly asked to place one foot up for removal of previous polish. The nail care appears to be well done, cuticles were removed without nicks or pain. The nail polish looks to possibly be a little too thick to settle well in some areas, it looks lumpy once cured with the uv light, the front of the nails were not addressed with polish and barely filed. The typical dry skin pumice scrub was minimal, three or four scrapes and done, I went home with the dry skin I arrived with, the massage was forgettable at best, and the final warm towel wrap was more of wet towel hung on my legs to dry than anything, I saw my neighbors legs get wrapped and they stayed wrapped until the towels cooled off, mine were never wrapped. I wish I had better things to say, perhaps my expectations were high based on the reviews, I may have asked for a re-do on the spot but was at the end of a very long day. Totally a hidden gem! I had a super relaxing, detail-oriented pedicure, and it turned out flawless. The service never felt rushed, which was especially nice because a few other places in town have definitely hurried through the service. The salon was quiet, relaxing, clean, and very organized. This will definitely be my new go-to spot! My only criticisms were that the water for my pedicure wasn't very warm, and the polish color looked completely different on my actual nails than it did on the sample swatch but I'm still happy with it. read more

The woman who did my gel pedicure kept having to redo my nails because she would aggressive put the light right on top of my nails and way too close when she had just painted and the polish would get messed up. She had to buff them out and redo my nails 3 times and she acted as if it was my fault. In the end, they still weren't what I would've wanted.
