Our quest for new parks brought us here. This is not really a park to visit and it is geared towards the folks who live in the complex, we had a hard time finding parking. Once you get here, it is a nice park. It is new and well maintained. There is a playground, a nice lawn and it is a decent size. There is a paved path that goes through and around it but it was too crowded to go for a run. Clearly, the folks who live here love this park based on how crowded it was. They were partying like it was 1999 and there were 3 parties going on when we were there. It was nice to see people out and about though I still worry about it.

The cutest little park that is tucked away between Cisco and Crescent Village Apartments. Regardless of the season, you can always count on seeing dog owners and parents of small children using the amenities. The grounds are well kept, the bathrooms are clean, and occasionally the doggy poop bags are replenished. Because the park is tucked away you don't get too many transients so the park is mainly occupied by the nearby residents of the several apartment complexes. I currently reside nearby so you get to see familiar faces and everyone is extremely respectful of the park and the rules. Along the River Oaks and Crescent Village cross street is a basketball court and tennis court. Both are usually occupied but everyone is extremely courteous and dropping in for a game is never really out of the question. Throughout the park there are several benches, recycle and trash bins, as well as water fountains. Feel free to picnic at nearby benches and tables. I would suggest NOT to use the grass as dogs do their business and there are some owners that don't do a great job of cleaning up. If you are looking to bbq/grill, this park is not for you. There are no grills so make sure your food is ready to eat if picnicking. Don't forget to clean up too!

Neat clean and green, with all well maintained, nice jogging track round of half k.m. It has nice restrooms. One can enjoy picnic as there are plenty of sitting arrangements and tables. Also there are two tennis court and one basketball court. Elegently designed for young and playgroup children. Specially georgeous eye pleasing look in the afternorm sunshine and weekends. a number of children playing in groups and families make the park alive .

Aahhh...let's just pretend I'm wallet-endowed enough to live here, where a 1-bedroom apartment starts around $2,900/month and the Google bus stops at the corner every 5 minutes, and I'll give my honest critique of this park... Beyond my wistful tech-nerd fantasties, this park is gorgeous. It's safe, clean (yeah, even the bathrooms), and fun. The fields are green, the playground gets shade from well-placed trees, and there's plenty of friendly dogs out for a stroll with responsible owners cleaning up after them. If I lived in the area, I'd be here all the time. This is the ideal place to read a book, throw a frisbee around, or let the kids loose on the playground. Check it out!

This park has everything and very clean! -Large children play area -Nice pathway for people to take a walk/jog (gravel or concrete) -2 tennis courts -small basketball court -tons of benches and tables -large grassy area (for dogs, picnic, chilling, flying kites, etc) I like this park a ton because its an awesome place to take my little pup to run around! This place has a pretty large grassy area for dogs to run around. There are a good handful of frienfly pet owners that bring their pets out before the sun sets. The grass is groomed well and there are plenty of benches for owners to rest while keeping an eye. On downside is that they don't have water fountain for dogs (regular fountains at tennis/basketball area) Good place to take pets, children, family time, or for a stroll or to do outdoor activities.

This park is less than a year old. A nice little area for outdoor activities - tennis, play area, bbq. It seems odd, in this economy, they are adding more and more buildings when there are still so many vacant ones. I don't think we have enough parks and open space as it is so I'm really glad to see this hidden greenery.

We always have tons of fun at this park. Games are quite safe and people is super friendly. This is also a great place for pets or to have a family picnic

What kind of park has a zipline?!? THIS ONE. Two seating options, one with a harness for toddlers,…read morethe other for older kids (I even saw adults using this). The park also offers a fun and inclusive space for children, with climbing structures, sturdy cement slides, swings for both toddlers and older youth, a see-saw, merry-go-round, trampoline, and spongy material making up the ground's surface. The occasional squirrel, lizard, and butterfly too. As an adult simply looking for a place to relax while waiting for my car at an auto shop nearby, I was pleasantly surprised to find this park accommodating. Dirt and concrete trails weaving through the garden, lovely vegetation in spring, and a good amount of picnic tables and benches scattered throughout. Also, a shady area with fake grass and seats made out of smoothed-out logs and tree trunks, as well as adirondack chairs where I was able to hang out and nap while I was there. It wasn't too crowded or crazy on a Friday morning, though it got busier as it neared noon time. In addition, the place offers a parking lot and clean restrooms for convenience.

The play garden has everything kiddos love -- slides, one seesaw, one round spinner, one rope climbing thing (that can also spin), swings (bucket and standard), small water play area, and a Zipline (one for little kids 3+ and one for older kids). They also have an area with tables, where someone was having a party (no idea if reservations are needed though). Expect to wait in line for a turn of the park is crowded. The play garden is fenced off from the rest of the park. They have a restroom on site. They have a small parking lot that is nearby the entrance of the play garden. I noticed some people parked on a smaller side street and walked over. I'm not sure what other parking options there are otherwise. We would return if we're in the area again and if it's less busy. It's a solid park and play area for those who live nearby.

Located inside Balboa Park, you can tour the museums in the area, but don't forget to stop and take a moment to smell the flowers at the Japanese Friendship Garden... There were so many beautiful birds, butterflies, koi, and plants I've never seen before. The grounds were very clean and well manicured. Pricing to get in was about $60 for a family of 4 (including student pricing for our children) which may be a bit steep if you have young children with thin patience.. however, if you are able to come in and find your Zen for a couple hours, this is the spot to do so. They offer free crafts for visitors- when we were there they were doing an origami workshop, which seemed very fun. However, our kids weren't up For it- so we did not participate. America's Best Rose Garden Run by Volunteers!!!…read more This is a beautiful 5.5-acre rose garden officially recognized as "America's Best Rose Garden." It features over 3,500 shrubs and around 200 varieties, with about 75% being hybrid teas. The garden has an interesting history: it was once a prune orchard purchased by the San Jose City Council in 1927, thanks to advocacy from the Santa Clara County Rose Society. Today, it also serves as an official All-America Rose Selections (AARS) display garden, where new award-winning rose varieties are tested before public release. The layout is classic and park-like, with a two-tiered fountain and mature, decades-old trees that add to the atmosphere. Some standout roses that I enjoy, include: * Rosa 'Handel' (climbing rose): Soft pink, slightly ruffled blooms that look great climbing fences or arches. Light fragrance, subtle but nice up close. * 'Camille Pissarro': Super eye-catching striped petals in pink, red, yellow, and cream. Looks like a painting. Mild scent. * "Make Me Blush" (hybrid tea): Clean, soft blush-pink rose with a neat classic shape. Light, gentle fragrance. * "Perfect Moment" (hybrid tea): Very polished, classic rose form with rich color and that "traditional rose" look. Noticeable floral scent. * "Double Delight": Creamy white with red edges that deepen in the sun. Each bloom looks a bit different. Strong, sweet spicy fragrance: one of the most fragrant ones there. A pleasant surprise is that the garden is entirely volunteer-run. Volunteers actively work to preserve heritage roses, even rescuing and propagating rare varieties from old cemeteries, abandoned homesteads, and rural roadsides. Practical info: * Parking: free street parking with no time limit * Hours: daily, 8am to 30 minutes after sunset * Restrooms: available (clean, basic, and well-stocked) * Dogs: not allowed * Yoga: permitted if non-commercial * Alcohol: not permitted * Photography: casual photography and picnics are free, but professional shoots require a $100 permit Overall, it's a peaceful, well-maintained garden with both botanical depth and historical character, especially enjoyable for rose enthusiasts or anyone looking for a quiet walk among carefully preserved varieties.

It's not a park to have a hardcore hike but one could definitely get a good 'walk' in as the trails are easy and the crowd is generally comprised of locals from the neighborhood. I have successfully completed a 5 mile "hike" multiple times here -- just had to keep walking up and down, and all around. The park also has workout stations -- although, many of them are closed right now due to COVID19 but an average person could get a good cardio workout and get in some strength based exercises here (pull-up bars, etc.). Parking is easy as this park is aligned with a huge residential area. P.S. there are no public restrooms with the exception of seasonal porta potties so you should probably go before you plan on visiting. P.S.S. this park is popular for youngsters to "be youngsters" after hours so be cognizant if you're trying to plan a romantic date.
