We will never go back after tonight's experience. We brought 30 people for my husband's 50 birthday. After the whole party was seated we were told we could not serve our cake. Pizzas took forever and were burnt, manager never checked on us and when we were done the waitress said you can eat your cake outside. We started serving the cake outside and were told we were still on their property and had to leave. Absolutely ridiculous and the manager who came out was very rude. $360 for the worst experience ever. Rethink supporting a business like this in this area. read more

Food was great. Service was great. The only downside were the boxes for our leftovers. The boxes were very flimsy. The food sloshed out of them before we even left the booth. We had a mess by the time we got home. I will take my own to go boxes next time. read more

Came here for a quick/late lunch with my mom. Service was excellent - never went without, super friendly. We mixed and matched a couple of pizzas (fig and prosciutto, eggplant margarita) and it was excellent! Eggplant super crispy, fig packed with flavor. Great spot! read more

Had a craving for lasagna. This place is close to my home so I decided to try it for lunch. Not many people dining in and I think they only had 1 waitress. I paid $22 for this lasagna - nothing else came with it. I was shocked no salad or bread. It was just ok - not $22 worth and kind of on the bland side. I ordered tea, wasn't offered a refill for my tea until I asked for a to-go box. I passed on the refill cause I was ready to leave. I did see people coming in and getting pizzas to-go. Best pizza in Myrtle!! The Buffalo chicken pizza and vodka pizza were fantastic. Loved the breaded chicken and Buffalo sauce quantity was perfect. We ordered 3 large pizzas and got 2 personal pizzas, but they quickly fixed the mistake and gave us a scoop of gelato while we waited. Honestly, the gelato might be better than most ice-cream places in the area too. I also really enjoyed the goat cheese salad. read more

The pizza crust was crispy in the outside and light in the middle. Light char and delicious. The primavera was cooked to perfection and the carbonara was tasty and rich but without being heavy. Just tried this River Oaks Pizza in Surfside and from the hype that I have heard about it being just like NY style pizza I couldn't wait. Well, my friends sad to say that this was a poor excuse of a NY pizza. I think if the people here believe this is close as they come I'll stick to Dominos (which sux). I couldn't believe that first the size is off by a mile (pictured below was a large) HA A LARGE, that's a small in NY style size. The sauce was off and below also was supposed to be extra cheese- WHERE. Also below is the Meat Stromboli, where is it I mean WHERES THE BEEF! And it smelt of burnt oil. Our new favorite pizza spot! Hubby's fav is the Cup n Char which is small pepperoni around the whole pizza and mine is the Truffle Mushroom on a delicious thin crust. The crust is so good, believe me, you'll finish the whole slice. Service is awesome. Waitresses and bartenders are all great and very friendly! Ambiance is warm and intimate. Very inviting place. Not new to Good Pizza in our area. So Finally decided to try this place & had DD deliver. I ordered a grandma pizza, wings, & dough. The grandma pizza had no flavor, too thin, hardly any cheese, and totally too many large plum tomatoes. There was not even garlic on it. Totally too pricey for $27 for a grandma pizza that was not enjoyed at all. The dough was sent on a paper plate with paper in a paper bag, totally unacceptable. My husband was ok w/the wings. Really glad to have a restaurant with such a nice ambiance open here! Truly feels like this place is catering to locals and not tourists which is a very welcomed change! Don't let the unassuming outside fool you! The good: Cocktails were AMAZING, pizza was delicious (tried the classic but looking forward to trying their square pizza next time), and the restaurant was beautiful and had great vibes. Service was friendly. The not as good: Bread came a bit burnt and I would have appreciated some salt on the table to add to the oil. We found the parmigiana to be just "okay" - nothing special and the sauce was very basic. Plates are a bit pricey. Overall we will definitely be back! Can't say enough good things about this place! Everything we tried was beyond delicious. The bread that comes with the meal was perfectly baked- soft inside and crispy edges. The meals were perfectly cooked and absolutely so delicious! Our server Gabby was super responsive and friendly. The drinks were also awesome. We have been to River Oaks Carolina Forest location, happy they opened closer in Surfside. We had a traditional pie, eggplant chips, eggplant rollatini, lasagna and spaghetti garlic and oil.
