New York Pizza and Bar, Myrtle Beach Visited Thursday, April 9 around 8:25 PM with a party of five. We were seated immediately and service was attentive and polite throughout. The location on N Kings Hwy leans more worn than charming. It feels functional, not inviting. Seating is tight and not particularly comfortable, very much a sit, eat, and move on setup. There is a very small bar, though it did not add much to the experience. We ordered a spread of pizzas plus a garden salad. Portions were as expected, and note that a small pizza is truly personal sized. Pizzas are stone baked, which gave the crust a decent texture, but flavor did not quite follow through. The garden salad was simple but fresh. Crisp lettuce with green peppers, olives, and a heavy hand on the onions. Not exciting, but it did its job. The pizza is where things start to slip a bit. The margherita pizza was bland and forgettable. The meat lovers and pesto with added pineapple had better flavor and were the most enjoyable of the group. A plain cheese pizza kept the teenagers happy, which was the main objective. Dinner came to about $77, and for a quick, no wait meal after a drive, it served its purpose. Food came out fast and everyone left fed. Would not return with so many stronger pizza options nearby. This is a practical stop for families with teenagers or anyone looking for a budget friendly, no fuss meal near the beach. Ordered a supreme pizza with extra cheese. Well done crust. Asked for fresh garlic was told they don't have fresh garlic? An Italian place with no fresh garlic? Got the pizza back to our hotel which was only 4 blocks away... there were no mushrooms or black olives AND it had very little cheese at all much less extra. The pizza crust was so soggy you couldn't hold it to eat it. You had to roll it like a sushi roll to even try to comfortably eat it. Will NEVER go there again OR recommend to anyone read more

Yum! I had a DoorDash coupon and NY Pizza was walking distance from our timeshare resort. After long travel days, pizza sounded like it would hit the mark. This pizza was sooooo delicious. Great experience having dinner and drinks for 2 on a Friday night. We were in town for the weekend and didn't want to over indulge or spend a lot. This place hit the spot! There's a regular drink specials menu for $11 cocktails, sandwiches, pasta, salads and of course pizza to munch on. We ordered a medium pizza, spinach and bacon salad with a Margarita and New York Vodka Lemonade. Everything was delicious! Shout out to our server for taking a salad off our bill (iceberg isn't romaine) and the bartender knows what she's doing. Cheers! Definitely recommend for the entire family. Meh. It's ok. We got a medium supreme pizza, 2 orders of wings (BBQ & Garlic Parm) and one Tiramisu. The pizza needed some more baking, the wings were slightly overcooked, and the tiramisu was $7 and 1/2 cup - definitely not worth the price. But it sustained us. read more

Just an FYI NY Pizza Kitchen and Grill 2702 N Kings Hwy Myrtle Beach, SC 29577 I went there today with a friend. We had the had the exact same order. It was a personal pizza with pepperoni. Menu says 11.95 plus a drink 3.50. So when we got the check. The pizza was 12.95 on the check and drink 3.50 plus a misc charge of 2.00. So I enquired because my friends was 8.95 plus drink 3.50. Her bill was 15.97 mine was 20.57. We had the exact same thing. The waitress said she didn't know why it was different so she went to get the manager. The manager came back and told me the 12.95 was because of Tax. I explained to her that the Tax was at the bottom and that the price on the menu was different. She continued to argue with me and told me that's what it was. So I'm just warning you that what their menu says, and what the check says are two different things and the manager would not do anything about changing it like the menu was. Please be aware of these people at this establishment. The manager was very rude and no matter what she said was right. read more

Catchy slogans on the outside windows, and the restaurant is clean and nice. But the pizza, is below average. Dough is not crispy, there's way too much garlic, and I like garlic. It really doesn't taste like, or have the texture of fresh dough pizza. The menu has other items that might be good, but their pizza is not. The owner or manager man didn't greet me when I entered, and ignored me as I left, nothing, not hi, bye, just stared at his phone sitting behind the mini host station at the front entrance. Walked in for lunch- no one was at the door to seat us so we sat ourselves. We were looked at and ignored by multiple wait staff and when we asked for menus the waitresses only response was "did someone seat you" and we said no no one was by the door so we just sat down. She then returned with the menus and tossed them onto the table and when we thanked her she walked away. No offer for drinks or any kind of service really. So if you'd like to be glared at and disregarded for lunch this is the place for you. If you want good and kind service then look somewhere else.
