I tried this traditional Brazilian pastel with ground beef and cheese... it was SO GOOD!
Raquel S.

This is a lovely little cafe with wonderful owners who make delicious homemade Brazilian food! You'll feel very welcomed when you enter their doors. I had their ground beef + cheese pastel and I LOVED IT. I heard their traditional rice and beans are amazing too. If you're looking for a quality experience, I highly recommend this hidden gem.

A small breakfast and lunch Cafe on River Road which has truck parking next to it . I've never had the breakfast here but the lunch menu is a mixture of Asian dishes and sandwiches and burgers and there's even a veggie burger option . But everything on white buns. I had the chicken curry with rice which was mediocre at best. White rice was the only option but it did have lots of small pieces of chicken both dark and white meat which were okay. It included many small pieces of vegetables bell peppers, carrots, broccoli, cabbage and potatoes. I've seen it busy here at lunch times before but I'd actually rather have a wrap at Tim Hortons next time.

My favourite is cheese ball and the steak with cassava. Truly authentic Brazilian cuisine. Don't forget to try their caipirinha, specially the passion fruit. Amazing customer experience, the waiters were so friendly and helpful. I will definitely come back!!!!

It's tucked away on Nanaimo & East Broadway, not a super busy area, but we noticed lots of Brazilian guests dining here. That's always a good sign! What we ordered: * Picanha Verão - A special Brazilian sirloin cut, served with a light hearts of palm salad. We're usually not sirloin steak people, but this dish completely surprised us. Juicy, flavourful, and a must-order signature plate! * Bobó de Camarão - Shrimp in creamy coconut milk sauce with rice & salad. The sauce was rich and comforting, we couldn't stop spooning it over the rice. * Dados de Tapioca - Crispy fried tapioca cubes dipped in sweet pepper jelly. Sweet, savoury, and chewy! It was such a unique appetizer. * Bolinho de Bacalhau - Cod croquettes with a mashed potato inside dough. Golden and speical. * Pudim de Leite Moça - Condensed milk flan. Smooth, creamy, and absolutely heavenly. Another must order! * Brigadeiro - Chocolate truffle ball coated in sprinkles. A classic Brazilian sweet treat. * Beijinho - Sweet coconut ball, soft and chewy. We paired everything with a fruity Batida de Frutas (mango) and the classic Caipirinha. Perfect match for the food and patio vibes. Overall, a hidden gem that transports you to Brazil through food, music, and vibes. We'll definitely be back to explore more dishes! Food:  5/5 Must Try! Service: 5/5 Kids: 4/5 Yay! Price: $30-$40 each person (dinner) Presentation: 2/5 Parking:  Free street parking in the neighbourhood. Tips: * Large outdoor patio seating - perfect for summer nights * Live music on certain evenings * Huge variety of Brazilian dishes to try * Happy Hour (Tue-Fri, 3-6pm) * Have a food truck around the city * Catering services available Would I Return: Yes ‍

They sell a bunch of Brazilian snacks but overall the inside of the store looked worn out. We came in on a Sunday morning and no one was at the front. I rang the bell and a young girl came to take our order. She was sweet but looked very stressed. She ran to the back and was on the phone with her boss frantically asking for help. She then came running out and told us it'll be a wait because she needs to get a big order out. I replied no problem and went to grab a seat. After awhile I rang the bell again and asked for a refund and said I would return another time. The girl said she could make the food now. The next few minutes all we heard was the microwave constantly going off and it was clear nothing was made fresh. Feijoada: apparently this is their most popular dish and I liked the vibrant colours. However the pork was overcooked and nothing tasted fresh except for the slice of orange. Strogonoff: the creamy sauce was not bad but it was so salty we were really thirsty after. The chicken was overcooked. Coxinha: I was excited to try tradition Brazilian croquettes but these were clearly frozen and again didn't taste fresh.

I looked up the business on the internet and search rendered a location in New Westminster. I kept that in mind so I could take my husband there next time we go to New West. He loves anything fried with a filling. My husband and I were wandering in the West End waiting for one of my favourite restaurant to open for lunch and stumbled upon their new location on Denman Street. I was so excited that we changed our lunch plans. We bought 3 pastels to share (beef, bacon & cheese, and cheese & guava jam) and had an impromptu picnic at a quiet spot in the Rhododendron Garden at Stanley Park not far away. The staff was super nice, friendly and helpful. I can see myself just popping in for a goodie whenever I go on a walk to the beach or the park.

I chose the one he recommended which was carne seca. Pasteles are like rectangular, deep fried empanadas. Much bigger (the especiale) too. It's like really good. Crunchy and the stuff inside is juicy, the meat is not dry at all. :) great snack. Dessert - I also got the pudim. It's - really sweet. It feels like half syrup. Not sure if that's what Brazilian desserts are like. :) Guy at counter is very friendly. Highly recommen
