I went to dinner here with my friends who are local to the St. George area. This spot came highly recommended by one of my friends who boasted about their fish and chips and good drinks. It definitely did not disappoint! I had a bit of a hard time finding this place as it's in an industrial area and kind of hiding, but it was worth the journey. For my drink, I ordered the blackberry smash, which was a mule with a fruity twist. It was delicious and much stronger than other drinks I've had in this area. For my meal, I went with the highly-acclaimed fish and chips, which did indeed live up to their hype. The fish was perfectly fried and the fries had a good bite to them. I also really enjoyed the fry sauce that tagged along with the dish. Our server was also wonderful and made helpful suggestions throughout the meal. Ok, for the food, the fried pickles were the best thing we had, get those. Light and crispy batter with a decently thick pickle chip inside, really good. The food, fish and chips, spicy reuben, chicken sandwich, and bbq wings. Fish and chips, decent enough, nothing to write home about, delicate batter, great flavor. Spicy Reuben...what a trainwreck, the meat was stringy and annoying to eat. The sauerkraut was sweet? Just terrible. The bbq wings were as described, so not bad. The chicken sandwich was not great either, chicken was dry and kind of hard to eat. The garlic parm fries though? Amazing. Get those as your side. We also had the Guavala and the Hef, both were really good and a steal at $6 each. They also have a small store front with no prices, frustrating. NOT A BREWERY EXPERIENCE We stopped in expecting a typical brewery experience and were disappointed. We came specifically to try a flight, but were told that alcohol could only be served if we ordered food. That's understandable, but when I offered to order an appetizer, we were then told we could only get one beer with it, not a flight. The whole interaction felt unwelcoming, like our business wasn't really wanted. We would have happily ordered an appetizer and multiple beers, but instead were essentially told to just get beer to-go. We've visited almost every brewery in the state of Utah and hundreds of breweries across the country, so we're very familiar with how they typically operate. Being told this was "state law" felt misleading or, at the very least, poorly explained. Also worth noting: they close at 9 PM every night, which is quite early for a place presenting itself as a brewery. In our opinion, this is much more of a restaurant than a brewery, and it would be better advertised that way. Thankfully, we found a nearby spot (Station 2 Bar by Zion Brewery) that was far more accommodating and gave us the brewery experience we were looking for read more

We stopped in for a quick flight of beer on a Saturday afternoon and they were quite busy.. we were quoted a 15 minute wait. It's small inside so a majority of the seating is outside under a permanent tent structure. We were sat at an outside table and our server, Thor, came over. He explained the limitations of their pub license and that food must be ordered to consume alcoholic beverages. We ordered a flight of beers and when they arrived we ordered a side of garlic fries. The fries were delivered in less than 2 minutes and were not even remotely warm and they were accompanied with a sauce that didn't really compliment the garlic and Parmesan flavors. Tired, hungry, and in need of a shower after a weekend away, off grid camping at one of our favorite places in Utah....we looked to Yelp. Silver Reef Brewing seemed like a good match. First impressions: the parking was spacious, especially with our big rig. And we were somewhat out of the city traffic, and close enough to the freeway, also a plus. Upon arrival, the brewery was clean and the staff was friendly; perfect for my chatty partner. I believe the server had moved from the east coast, NY, maybe... Just when you think you made a wrong turn the brewpub shows up as it is in an industrial business area. Cute little seating area for the restaurant as it is just adjacent to the brewing and packing area. Service was quick and very able to answer your questions and the food was very good. If you get the cajon burger ask for extra napkins as you will be making a mess as you eat. We also got the pork belly app and an IPA and Hefeweizen which were all excellent but we were so hurry we forgot the pictures. Cool Spot! Food was yummy, Service was Great (Jen was our waitress and she was super friendly and helpful and just the best!), and the environment was nice! We sat in the entry area rather than the main brewery section just because we had road tripped to Utah and still had a bit more to go - so we were there strictly for lunch and food rather than a drink. Jen was very attentive and informative and great with suggestions. The food was quick to be prepared and were good - we left full, happy and rejuvenated for the last bit of our trip to our air bnb and to start our extended weekend visiting family in Utah. Oct 2014 Somehow, I forgot to review our visit to this restaurant/ brewery. There's a smaller indoor dining area with tables for 4 and a large outdoor patio. In October they do Oktoberfest We heard the fish & chips were great so Dan had that. It was overcooked to the point of being dark Brown. Bad! My adult daughter had a sandwich secretly liked. I don't recall what I had. The beer taster was great. I like the dark beer. BH Black Lager German was delicious. I like creamy non bitter dark beers. We recently visited Silver Reef Brewing Co. in St. George. The atmosphere was what you'd expect from a typical brewery with a small indoor seating with a tented outdoor area for additional space. It had a relaxed, casual vibe that worked well for our group. We started with the fried pickles to share, and they were absolutely delicious, crispy, fresh, and perfectly fried. Definitely a highlight of the meal! I ordered the BLAT (bacon, lettuce, avocado, and tomato) with a side of fries. The sandwich was a good size with the right amount of ingredients, though overall it was pretty basic. Still satisfying, just nothing particularly unique. My husband ordered a beer flight that included Agua Fresca, Agua del Diablo, Silver lady, and a Hefeweizen. His favorite by far was the Silver lady as it stood out as the most enjoyable of the four. Since he's vegan, he also ordered the veggie pizza without cheese. It was topped with tomato, a small amount of mushrooms and bell peppers, along with pesto sauce. The pizza was fairly simple, with each slice getting a bit of veggies, but overall it was pretty basic. The service was okay. There were five of us in our party, and one order was mixed up. We didn't mention it, but it might help if the server wrote down orders instead of trying to memorize them. This brewing company is an up and rising star for St. George! We went with family and it was a very enjoyable experience. They have inside and outside seating with a beautiful view of the red mesas. The food was reasonable in price and portion with great flavor and quality. They brew their own root beer as well as a wide variety of alcohols for those who love the taste. Disappointing Service Overshadowed the Experience Our visit here was unfortunately marked by poor service from the start. After being seated on the patio, we were completely forgotten -- no greeting, and no water until I went inside to find the host myself. Another party seated at the same time received prompt service and their drinks well before we were even acknowledged. When our server, Shelly, finally arrived, she seemed distracted and disengaged. Throughout the meal, I had to ask multiple times for water and basic attention, which made the experience frustrating rather than relaxing. I like this place. One area of concern is the new menu. The cob salad is just lettuce. This was my favorite salad came out in a white bowl where you could see the different items. Eggs, blue cheese, bacon, and tomatoes. Now you pay almost 20 dollars for oversized plate of lettuce. it is hit or miss on the beer cheese dip. We had no idea what this restaurant was in town even with my husband working right down the road. The atmosphere was amazing and very relaxed with some unexpected live music being played in the outdoor seating section. I had a great recommendation on a drink sampler and was able to try a couple different beers they brew on site, and the pork belly was delicious. We ran into one tiny problem with my burger being under done but our waiter Vance went above and beyond to make sure the issue got fixed.
