However, I accidentally went to another rental shop and thought my reservation was there. That rental shop did not tell me my reservation wasn't on their books and so I ended up renting from them, not knowing that I made a reservation with a different company (Riverstar) I ended up having a missed call from an unknown number at 12 and I called it back at 5 only to realize it was Riverstar rentals asking where I was with my reservation and why I didn't show up to get me jet skis. At that moment, I had realized I didn't have a reservation for the skis I picked up. When speaking with the owner (I forget his name) I could tell he was bummed as he held the skis all day waiting for me when they easily could have gone to someone else. Instead of complaining and getting upset with me, he asked if I had fun, was understanding about it and handled it very professionally. I am looking forward to using River Star rentals next time I visit. It's not always about how company's handle things that go right, but how they handle them when they go wrong.

I also really appreciated that the price they quoted was the actual price. We've rented from other locations and there were additional fees not mentioned on the phone and only shared upon time for payment. River Star was transparent from the start.

When we arrive at our paid for slip, no matter if we are first arriving or arriving before we leave for the day, another boat is ALWAYS parked at our slip and we have to politely ask them to leave and circle around till they do. I am not sure if there is anything you can do to prevent this but it gets very frustrating when it happens every time, no matter what time of day. The signs say, no courtesy or docking here, but nobody pays attention!!

The park has improved since our first visit about 3 summers ago. We come here at least once and we all enjoy it, we get there early morning and leave right before closing. I may add, if you go during the summer, you MUST wear sun protection and bring lots of water, the heat is no joke. The water is really cold which is refreshing on a hot summer day. The staff is very friendly and informative, also very helpful!! My tent blew away during a little windy moment and they helped me bring it back while also providing tips to prevent it from happening again. In the past, we had to get there before the park opened to secure a spot and once capacity was met they didn't allow anyone to enter. This was tough since there were a couple times we didn't make it on time and had to go elsewhere. Now, things have changed, which is a lot more convenient. They only allow the people that have reserved online go in from 7am-11:30am. If you DO NOT have reservations, you will NOT be allowed in before 11:30. At 11:30 they will only allow you in if they haven't reached capacity and it's first come first serve. If you did RSVP and make it after 11:30am, you risk losing your spot since general people will be allowed in at that time.

Many of them were docked right in the beach, resulting in a lot of people ripping through very closely to where people were swimming. Between that and the strong current, this was in my opinion not a very family friendly beach, at least for one with small children.

Once we got underway there was a nice cool breeze along the river with beautiful sights along the way. The Captain did a great job pointing out areas of interest. There were two ice chests full of water bottles on board, so no one went thirsty. Both me and my wife thoroughly enjoyed the boat ride and considered it the highlight of our stay at Laughlin. I would say leave about 2 hours and 15 min ahead of your scheduled time slot if you plan on driving from the same area. I wanted something simple, already on the water, no need for us to hook on and off and get to and from the river. This was a perfect experience. We were running a bit late and they were very understanding and didn't deduct from our time. When you get to the riverwalk behind the Aquarius Casino, you'll find their booth where you will check in and present your ID, credit card and sign paperwork. It was all relatively quick. Then they gave us our life jackets and a paper to give to their team on the dock for the jet skii. We got a quick safety brief and accessed prior damage on the jet skii, and climbed on. One of the team members was kind enough to ask if we wanted a picture together before we took off and we really appreciated that. As 2 people, not planning on staying in the area, the 1 hr rental was a perfect time frame for us. Thank you to the entire team at Rocky River Adventure Center! We had a perfect alphabet J date!
