absolutely horrific place. i was there nov 2022. was abused by nurses. horrible cruel attitudes…read more loud at night told me they didnt care if they kept me up. i only got 5 nights of sleep in 35 days which made my bp skyrocket. then they would tell me they couldnt give me therapy because bp too high. i had stroke lost left side of body wouldnt let me out of my room to exercise my leg and ot only 30 min twice a week room constantly cold in winter. chris was creepy wanted to know what i was doing on computer ihd to manage my affairs. took their sweet time when i needed to go to bathroom. had to ask for showers, bp meds and to take bp. one time this rough looking aide night shift refused to walk closer when i asked her she didnt put weight belt on me i yelled in bathroom as i turned please help me im going to fall she screached were not supposed to catch people. i had a 3 in radius bruise still on my old flip phone. i was supposed to get all bp meds before discharged they broke their promise. food was horrific not healthy. stressful better to go home alone than be there. matt was admin. rehab guy refused to give me a walker when i was discharged. they only had me walk w cane two days. detrimental to stroke because u r supposed to do rehab right away hours per day every day. my shoulder subluxed and leg brace caused ulcering

But, after I fell on my head ,gave myself a black eye, was whisked off to be c-rated and MRIed, sent back to the hard bed, later to be sent back to hospital because of an ulcer. I had complained about the burning in my stomach, but because of bad communication between the personnel, I was not given the anti reflux meds until the doctor was called after dark. I hope fate does not make me stay there ever again. The five star rating??? I would not trust it.

This place is truly awful. I was there every day for at least an hour over four weeks visiting my…read moremom. It commonly takes about 40 minutes to get anyone's attention. They will leave your loved one's bowel movements in their mobile commode all day. To get a nurse to administer meds is an act of God, but if you bring in over-the-counter medication for your loved one, the CNAs will take it out of their private storage while you're not around and never mention it. One CNA stole the heating pad I purchased for my mom to help with her pain. When I asked her where it was, she said it was a fire hazard and she had placed it in her personal vehicle. My mom got scabies while she was there. Though several CNAs saw it and provided her with hydrocortisone for it, no one identified that it was scabies, treated it, or washed her sheets. I was heartbroken watching the staff completely ignore and verbally abuse my mom's roommate, who was extremely ill and confused about why she was there. It took almost three weeks and six calls to get a call back from the social worker to discuss my mom's treatment plan and progress. By the time I got a call back, I was furious and wanted her out of there, which they initially refused to facilitate. They forgot my mom's medical appointments in spite of numerous reminders. When they finally acknowledged it, they didn't dress her and wouldn't transport her. The receptionists are on another planet and are absolutely no help. They don't even know who is coming or going. High points: There were a select few staff members who brought my mom joy and treated her with dignity, including a very sweet and charismatic male CNA, the kind-hearted man who does transportation, and the physical therapists, who were fantastic and the only staff members who actually communicated with me about her treatment plan, needs and progress. It's been six months and I still feel sick to my stomach anytime I'm nearby. Please do not send your loved one here, especially if they don't have the ability to advocate for their own needs.

The staff was always very attentive to their needs, and our own family concerns and kept us informed of any changes that occurred. Their rehab staff is top notch, as was their nursing staff in fact my mother literally did not want to come home. The food was always visually appealing, high quality, and tasted good which is not an easy thing to do when serving food in an institutionalized setting. The activities program were always fun, my parent's became avid bingo fanatics. Social services were kind and receptive to our families needs. I truly can not say enough good things, and would not hesitate to recommend this facility to anyone.

Thankfully the family was able to move him to Red Bluff Healthcare. The difference with the care and rehab at RBHC was like night and day and he immediately began to gain strength and make progress! I think the friendly, happy and caring atmosphere there makes all the difference as we noticed the improvement in dad's attitude and motivation right away. The whole staff worked as a team to help dad reach his goals and celebrated his successes along the way. By the time he completed his rehab and was released to come home, we felt like the staff had become extended family! RBHC is a great facility with a team of folks who genuinely care . We are so thankful we were able to have dad here while he recovered.

The staff has been incredibly warm, kind, patient, and hardworking, and it gives our family tremendous peace of mind knowing he is in good hands. Billy, Marsha, and Cassie have been especially wonderful about keeping us but the entire care team deserves recognition. They genuinely take the time to get to know the residents and make them feel comfortable and welcome. They even know my dad's favorite breakfast--two eggs over easy, hash browns, bacon or sausage, toast, and fruit! They make it for him every morning. And they have been so warm and welcoming to my dad's dog when she visits. They have a great outside courtyard where dad and his dog Coalee can play and enjoy the comforts of home. For example I pick up marbles with my toes to help my foot flex in the proper way. The therapist is ready and willing to address any concerns or questions I might have. The staff gives their full attention to my needs. I have not ever been to therapy as well organized as this office is. They have a variety of different ways to help with any medical issue anyone is dealing with. I never feel pressured to do more than I am comfortable with. The entire atmosphere is caring and on top of what you are doing. They do not rush you to get out and on the the next person.
