I drive by Rivera's all the time and have been wanting to try their tacos. I was also excited by all the positive reviews on Yelp. Today I went for their Taco Tuesday. All their tacos were $1.75. I tried 3 different tacos including Asada, Carnitas, and Al Pastor. Each taco had plenty of meat on them. They also were sprinkled with onions and cilantro. The problem is they were bland. I added the mild green salsa but the blandness did not change. Wish I had liked them better. On a positive note the service was excellent and the woman that took my order was very friendly. read more

I am adventurous. Giving a shot at that hole in a wall restaurant, hoping that i find another hidden GEM, is just my style. I have noticed Rivera's for awhile now, I just never had a chance to try it. On this random day, i have decide to change that. Stop by this Hidden Gem is in Fullerton, across from a famous Taqueria but don't Sleep on this spot ! It's comfort food and salsa and again carrots are fire!!! This review is based solely on their breakfast burrito! Chorizo breakfast burrito was just okay. The chorizo was not too greasy and had good flavor. Didn't love the hash browns in it and they had no flavor. Appreciated it was meat "heavy," but also felt that it was definitely lacking in cheese and barely saw the egg in it. Also feels like it needs some cilantro, onion, or peppers in it to add to the flavor. Wished I would have subbed beans for hash browns and at a $12 price point, it was definitely a 3/5. read more

We ordered a pound of shredded pork and it came to $15 and change. The quantity was there, but the meat was alright. It wasn't salty, or dry, it had some flavor. Maybe we'll try a different kind of meat and see. But it's worth to try it for yourself to see if it's your cup of tea or not. read more

Rivera's is my favorite taqueria in Fullerton - and I've tried them all. Their service is always friendly - the food is made quickly - and their kitchen (clearly visible while ordering) is VERY clean. Their portions are generous for the price. I highly recommend trying their quesabirria tacos - or their cochinita (some of the best I've ever had). They also have a ramen birria that is a fun option to try something a little different. It's delicious. Right next door is a great liquor store so I like to pick up a canned cocktail to take home with my tacos. read more

Great tacos!!! Nice little spot in Fullerton, not far from Harbor blvd. Great deal for taco Tuesday. Food was made to order. Fresh tortillas with some Al pastor and some Asada! 3 taco plate...asada and pastor. It lacked salt. The salsas didn't help either. I was really hoping they would hit the spot. Maybe I went too early?? Small little parking lot. this place was bomb. seemed like a little family owned hole in the wall. the fish tacos were so good, they had that orange sauce that's so creamy. they had an option to add avocado and cheese which i had to do. they crisped up the cheese on the grill it was hella good. i'd come back and order 4 of them. not to mention the service was super nice and asked if i wanted any lemon or salsa :). i noted that their other tacos are $1.75 on tuesdays, a crazy good deal. not too much seating inside but i'd order to go again! read more

NO CAP. THIS IS REAL!!! Holy sh...... I'm so lucky to find this place. Taco Tues? Nope, taco Wed too!!! 1.75 +tax !! I couldn't believe what a beautiful deal still exists in the world. We ordered most menu they have. I had birriya, asada, pastor, and chorizo. My hubby had birriya, 2 asada, 2 pastors, carnitas, and Pollo. Everything was exceptional taste. They weren't trying to save for meats. Red and green salsa were really delicious. I wish I just kept drinking it. It's absolutely worth it every penny. The best tacos in/near downtown Fullerton. When I first moved to Fullerton a couple years ago, I made it my mission to find a local taco place and this place was the winner (even next to the taco place right across the street). Tacos have loads of meat and flavor, and salsas are on point as well. read more

This taco spot got my husband and I through the worst of Covid quarantine in spring 2020. Their Taco Tuesday was wonderful. We would pig out on tacos and horchata and find some joy even though Covid was tough. Their carne asada is the best! Followed by their chicken. Sometimes I would get al Pastor but I preferred the very flavorful carne asada. We also really enjoyed their burritos and their sopes. The best sopes I've ever had! I haven't found anywhere else that makes them as good. I would get them with the carne asada and ask for extra green salsa that had the perfect spicy kick which would taste great with the fresh sour cream on top. We would stop at bootleggers on the way to get the tacos and pick up a pack of El Chango with sea salt and lime and the flavor combo was perfect. I can't recommend this place enough. Perfect hole in the wall Mexican place. It's take out only - no seating. You can order over the phone which I would recommend doing on taco Tuesday or you might be waiting a long time! read more

It was my first time here and I got two of their fish tacos for under $5.00. It was served with a fresh warm tortilla and chunks of grilled White fish. They had their own sauce that came with their fish tacos. I would describe it as like a Sriracha mayo or something like that. It was served with fresh cilantro and fresh diced onions along with freshly sliced beets, pickled carrots, and a jalapeño pepper. I have to say this grilled fish taco was absolutely amazing! Oh, and when I ask about hot sauce, the nice gentleman who worked at the cashier suggested this spicy oily sauce and let me tell you, it was pretty spicy. They make your tacos fresh to order. It's a must try small boutique taco joint in the middle of a Fullerton neighborhood. The service here was excellent, they were so kind and welcoming. They seem like very happy employees which is great because when food is served by grumpy and rude workers, the food somehow just doesn't taste that great, right? Lol It was a clean taco shop and they all wore masks and practiced social distancing guidelines. The parking lot was small but sufficient. Don't know about ambiance or service bc we've only gotten take out but the food is good. We've ordered twice and the chicken is always fresh, moist and seasoned well. The fish tacos are what I'd try first. Love this spot for its simplicity as well. Only thing holding it from being a five star is just that there's nothing too special or stand out from what I've tried. read more

I've been here twice now and both times I was met with amazing customer service. I always ask the person taking my order what's their favorite item and I usually get it. today I got a torta and I'm absolutely blown away with how amazing it is I can honestly say this is the best torta I have ever eaten.
