I paid half up front and waited for work to start, 3 weeks later I find they forgot to put me on their schedule. When they showed up, it was not the crew I was told would be there, just one guy with a shovel instead of power equipment. He dug some trenches 12" deep and others 3" deep. He said it was harder digging in the backyard so he only went 3" deep. He broke an existing PVC drainage line and started putting duct tape on it to fix it. I said fix it correctly and he left the job site. I called the office and they said he will be back in the morning to fix it. While I was standing there with him, in front of the broken pipe, he buried it without fixing it. I made him dig it up and fix it. When the sprinkler heads were installed and adjusted, I started the sprinkler system to test it. It watered the side of my house and my neighbors yard. He said the 25 foot ratchet heads were could not water an 8' wide yard without getting water on the house. They came out the next day and replaced the heads and tried again. They had issue after issue and moved and changed the type of head three more times. It was a total clown show. The sprinklers did not go to the property line and I had 18" of dead yard. A Relationship Manager came over and he looked at everything and said he would fix the following day, which he did. The next day everything was fixed and I was happy. The manager handed me a letter from the ladies in the office. I thought it was a gift certificate to a local restaurant for all the trouble I experienced, but it was a letter stating that they were done working on my sprinkler system and any other repairs or issues will cost me $82 an hr. It was a slap in the face and poor customer service. They turned a one day job into a nightmare without one word of regret.

They showed up a day early and started working without connecting with me or confirming the work. By the time I realized they were there working they had removed all the grass in my front yard and most of my backyard. They left me with nothing but dirt. They did lay down mulch and trimmed the trees. I was shocked. And needless to say incredibly dissatisfied. He had no explanation other than that was clean up, I thought they would be mowing and raking. Not only have I spent over 1000.00 having top soil brought in and new seed planted but there are weeds growing through the mulch.

You have to call the office (or have the driver do it when they're done) and read off your credit card number so they can run it, like it's 1993 or something. Worse experience I've ever received from a company. I was referred to Salem hydraulic from a diesel…read moremechanic I had used a few times to work on some of my equipment for my tree service business. I was on a job when my wood chipper hydraulic feed wheel stopped spinning. I called Salem hydraulic explained what was going on and asked how soon they could get to it because it was urgent. I was told if I brought it down they would have an answer for me later that day or by the next morning. After a week of waiting I called them to see what was going on and they told me they had a few hours into it but didn't know the problem. I waited another week they found the problem but were too busy to get to it. Long story short it took almost two months to get it back. When I finally got it back I noticed what looked like bolts missing, I'm not a mechanic and trusted it was in good running shape. A couple weeks later the motor falls off. I call Salem hydraulic they tell me to bring it down because it's still on warranty. I had to put some replacement bolts in to hold the motor up so I could chip up the last bit of brush at a customers house and then I took it to them. I called them the next day to see if they had made any progress and Casey at the front desk tells me they should void the warranty because I tampered with the chipper only because I had to put bolts in to finish a job that had to be completed that day. They said they would still honor the warranty. After a week in a half I was getting frustrated with the fact they have no sense of urgency and I called them just to hear they wouldn't know when it would be done because they were busy with other work. I told them they needed to make it more of a priority because it was their fault it was back in the shop & requested a phone call back from the owner & Casey calls the owner and tells me they are going to void the warranty because I was frustrated on the phone and that I owed them for all the time they put into it in the last week in a half and that it would be locked up until I pay. This experience has been a total joke, save yourself the hassle of hiring these clowns is my best advice. There are many other professional hydraulic shops in the Salem area.

BEWARE!!! Dan Sold me moldy warped lumber…read more Laughed when I complained. Asked "what did I expect?" Dry lumber, that isn't rotting with mold and mildew is what I expected! It isn't like I paid for bargain wood, this was hugely expensive! Much more than a box store, and that's without the 12+ hours I've spent sanding all of it to make it usable, since Dan wouldn't let me return it.
