My husband thought it was for a power washer or some sort, but it was for a jackhammer. They destroyed my walkway against the house and caused the brick facade to crumble into our yard.When my husband asked what they were doing, they were trying to figure out why the sidewalk was cracked (nevermind the big tree with roots sticking out of the lawn). When I raised this issue and suggested caulking as a straightforward fix, the technician's response was simply, "we don't caulk." The manager's response was just as adamant. As a result, I was left with an incomplete job and had to hire a separate contractor to seal the gap at my own expense at a cost of $300. Salem Garage Door's crew was otherwise professional and persistent in addressing the noise issue, and the door itself functions well -- but a finishing detail this important to weatherproofing should not fall outside the scope of their work, particularly since the crew created the gap. Had the job been completed properly, this would have been a five-star review.
