The huge menu gave us ample, reasonably priced options. Our group enjoyed hot and cold subs, and gave rave reviews to the eggplant parm and steak bomb sandwiches. It was nice to sit on the porch and have our food delivered to us, and there's plenty of picnic space if that's more your speed. Decided to go with the more pricey delivery place for subs tonight because they make a great steak and cheese! When I called the guy was friendly, spoke clear and it sounded like he got it all right. A short time later my son asked me if his spaghetti was here yet. So I called and asked how much longer the delivery time might be on our order. I don't know, maybe it's me. But if a customer says "How much longer might the delivery be?" they should expect to hear "Maybe 10 minutes." or "Another half hour." Instead the girl tells me "The delivery guy has a couple stops before you." So now I'm thinking...like 2 stops or 10? Are they on the same road or off different streets across an area? I mean couldn't she have narrowed it down a bit? So I tried to explain this theory to her and she said "Yeah like I said there are a couple deliveries he's gonna get them on the way to your house." Needless to say...I gave up. The food arrived about 10 minutes later. An hour delivery isn't bad, I don't mind sometimes, but to know this was the eta from the start would have been a whole lot better. Do they not tell you so you don't cancel your order? So yeah, the food...it was lukewarm to cold depending on which item we're talking about, nothing to brag about. We had steak and cheese subs, bosco sticks, a kids pasta and fries. Everything was perfect taste-wise except for the fries. We ordered the unseasoned but they came with this crappy untasteful bready stuff stuck to it. I don't really like those...which I'm sure you could already tell. :) Overall the place was ok. Not sure I'd order delivery from here again, though I prefer delivery the majority of the time. And if I did pick it up myself I definitely wouldn't get the fries. Our entire meal was $40 and some change. Not including the tip for the driver. I keep thinking though, that for a few bucks more we could have went out to a steak restaurant and probably had better service. read more

Over an hours wait only to receive the wrong order. The owner for the past 31 years was rude, lacked the understanding of professionalism, and the core concept of customer service. She did however apologize for not getting my order right and proceeded to enlightenment me on how my frustration was not helpful in "winning" this conversation. It's unfortunate to have business owners profit from our community dollars while producing less than satisfactory food, insulting customers unapologetically, and have no appreciation for those very customers who have given them business. I'm lucky I don't still live in my old apartment. I used to live almost next door to here, and I ate Riverbend like a fiend. Absolutely the best steak and cheese in town. Not shaved steak or steak UMs. Real steak mmm. Always hot and cooked to perfection. I spose you could get it with peppers and onions and whatnot, but it's so good with just steak and cheese, I've never bothered with anything else. In fact, the steak and cheese is so good, I don't think I've actually ordered anything else here. They have an assortment of other subs, also pizza. Ice cream, year round. I also get their "riverbend" label rootbeer. It's just your standard fare, but pretty tasty. Make sure you get the punch card, after nine subs the tenth is free. I like their large selection of business cards on the wall in front. If you need something done locally, you can probably find a business card for it at Riverbend. And they sponsor a local kids baseball team every year. Take your sub and enjoy it in the park across teh street. Eating local makes you feel good! read more
