Our tour guide was a super nice guy who's obviously passionate about his job and NH, but he didn't stop chatting the entire time. He told us about every house on the lake, history of the lake, all the tea about people in the area, etc. While we appreciated his knowledge and passion, we felt that we couldn't get off the boat fast enough, as we would have been more relaxed at the bar or in our room. If the cruise had some nice music on, provided a few blankets (that were clean unlike the one he handed me) and offered the option for snacks/beverages, it would have been much more enjoyable. But the price tag for a 90 minute informational cruise with consistent talking and other passengers' phone loudly playing the ymca... was less than worth it.

When I arrived, everyone seemed to be on their lunch break and annoyed by the "interruption" of my visit. They quickly had me sign the receipt and sent me on my way with my boat. They failed to mention that they did not put the BATTERY back in the boat. (Not sure how they tested it after the tuneup if they never put the battery back in the boat). Anyway, it was not until the boat was off of the trailer, and sitting at the boat launch dock trying to turn the thing on (on a lake that was 30 minutes away from the Marina) that I noticed they failed to put the battery back in the boat. When a call was placed to ask that they rectify the situation, I was told that no one was available to bring the battery to us, and that we would have to come down and pick it up. The owner would not speak to me because he was too busy "showing a boat". Seeing that it was 4th of July weekend and one hour had already been wasted waiting for calls back from the marina, we pushed the battery-less boat back onto the trailer... a very aggravating inconvenience.... and headed down to the marina. The owner then called us back as we were en route and instead of starting off with an apology, he said that he wasn't going to listen to me yell at him. Not the best way to handle an aggravated customer before even giving them the chance to speak. He also told me that the paper work I signed said that the battery was still charging and I should have checked it before I drove off with the boat. SERIOUSLY??? I'm sorry, but please forgive me for assuming that when someone tells me the boat is "ready", it means that the battery is back in place and connected. He also was stupid enough to tell me that the battery in the boat was old and it was on its last leg. I told him that we had another problem, because I purchased the battery FROM HIM last year. When we arrived, the owner (who was visibly annoyed) walked us right over to our charging battery and pointed at it, saying nothing. I looked at him and said... "Yes?" He said "We don't sell this battery so you didn't purchase it here." This was VERY interesting to find out, seeing that I said "hello" to the gentleman (Tim) who had installed it for me last year at that marina. When I asked to see a copy of that receipt, (because there were clearly even more issues with his operation than I previously thought) he quickly said that all of last year's receipts were at home. So I'm still left here wondering whose "old battery" he sold to me last year, if they do not carry or sell the type that he put in my boat.

I did not have that feeling with Wally's. Always accommodating and fair! The pricing is excellent. I own a Cobalt and the pricing was almost half (yes 1/2) what Goohue Hawkins or Corinthian Yaht Club were going to charge me. After I had the mechanical work done, I called Wally up, again, to get my boat detailed. Inexpensive again, but not cheap! The work was excellent. The outside of the boat looked as good as when I purchased the boat used a few years back. The white was WHITE and the blue was BLUE again... all buffed and gorgeous! I whole heartedly recommend Wally's Marine. One more thing, no attitude. Wally is a real, salt of the earth, kind soul. I enjoy working with him.
