Obsessed! Love everything about Riverfront Bakery! The bakery itself is immaculate, the staff is so sweet and caring, and everything is absolutely delicious. They have new things on the menu frequently and we love picking out a treat from the case! Cannot recommend enough!

Nice display case full of great treats.

We were headed back from a trip and stumbled across this wonderful shop. It is located near the Riverwalk in Wilmington. Plenty of parking along the street on this lazy Saturday morning. We stopped inside and very glad we did. We had an assortment of coffee and tea and most of my group chose the breakfast options. They had quiche and the pancakes. All were delicious and amazing. I opted for the chicken salad on a croissant. It was buttery and fluffy and tasted fantastic. Just to make sure, we all split a chocolate croissant. We were very glad we did. The staff was very friendly and answered every question and gave options. My only wish is that I lived closer.

Service was rude, the ambience was cute and quiet. The crepe was big and filled with banana and nutella. The hot cocoa was flavorless and this was before I even ate my crepe yet. There's a good variety of pastries available and I like the open kitchen.

GET THE ALMOND CROISSANT!! I stopped by this bakery during a recent trip to Wilmington. This bakery is located in the Riverfront, just off I-95 and in walking distance from the bus station. I tried the almond crossant it wss very good. Highly recommended getting this. The only thing that could've made it any better is if it was warm. I heard the butter croissant was another good option. I also heard that the chocolate croissant did not contain enough chocolate. I purchased a cinammon muffin and apple turnover, for later. I tasted both the next day and neither were something I'd get again.

Delicious! Everything we had was fantastic. We had a almond and a chocolate croissant that we loved and came back for a second time..then third time to take some home. Also had several other items, all wonderful, the crepe, the quiches and the fruit tarts they were all perfect and they melted in my mouth, and of course I got some to take home. Each time there was a huge line, but it went very fast. Enjoyed good coffee while eating inside and the atmosphere was great with the staff being very friendly and welcoming. Will be back.

Currently traveling from Texas, new to the area, nice people welcomed us in, with good prices. I got a chocolate and strawberry cream cheese croissants. Have to say I was very impressed with the texture and taste. The environment was warm and clean would've stayed for hours but the road awaits !

This was my first time at Riverfront Bakery, a quick stop on the way to Baltimore. It's a cute bakery shop with outdoor seating, high ceilings and a calm atmosphere. It's beautiful and clean on the inside, very clean and bright! The venue was suggested for sweets along the way. However, I didn't expect my visit to go the way it did in such a short time frame. The customer service was not pleasant and it made me question if I wanted to stay or not. My total was a little over $30 for what I felt was not worth it. The interaction at the counter was less than stellar on their end when I was paying for two orders and the cashier made a mistake; I was forgiving and sat down. I did share that my chocolate chip cookie was really hard, not even crumbly per say, just really hard that made me wonder if they were fresh. I did share this and the feedback I received was "we have a hard recipe," I wasn't sure how to interpret that. The engagement with other staff members or what I believed to be close friends and/or family walking around was not comforting or welcoming. It was somewhat disheartening.

The place is pretty cute inside. I got an ice coffee with salted caramel syrup. The coffee was not that good and had a strange sugar aftertaste. I also got some pastries to try. The chocolate canolis was decent! Small and expensive. The chocolate chip muffin I got was pretty dry. 1/3 items were decent. Maybe the hot coffee and other items would be better.

If you're looking for a cup of coffee or tea, this new little bakery is a cute spot. They have so many desserts to choose from daily. They also sell mystery boxes from time to time at a discounted rate if you want to be surprised with a mystery treat. The bakery kitchen is completely enclosed and glass. As a mom, kids would love this as well because they can watch the bakers at work. It's very bright, clean and airy in this cute little café.

For my daughter's birthday we stopped her to buy her a pastry. To my surprise they had a sugar free cookie. We order the sugar free cookie, a coffee, and a lemon cake. My daughter enjoyed the cake but the sugar made her a bit sick. My cookie was delicious. I enjoyed the seeds and fruit in it. My spouse loved the coffee. The service was not anything special. Just ordered at counter and took our items to a bistro table. Shortly afterwards more people came in and we took off. The kitchen is enclosed in windows so it's cool to look in on them decorating cookies, cakes and muffins.

Very quaint french style bakery. A few tables to eat inside but they fill up quick. My first time inside, I was plagued with indecision. I read from other reviews they have a mystery box so I opted for that and a hot chocolate. ($10 total) The staff filled my box with a scone, cinnamon roll, and a behemoth of a roll (didn't get much clarity on what that was but again it's a mystery lol). They were all seemingly dry and doughy. The scone was the tastiest of all 3. The hot chocolate was watery. I ended up adding more milk to it when I got home. This trip was a miss for me but other options seems promising. I'd be interested in trying a quiche next.

Pros - cute and clean interior - various baked goods on display to choose from - simple and clear menu - they have a surprise box you can buy that has some pastries for $9 (really good deal!) Cons - service was a joke. We ordered a sandwich (ham and cheese with croissant) and a guy brought it out and realized he brought the wrong order out. He stormed away rolling his eyes at his coworkers blaming them for doing it wrong. Then he came back and placed a measly sandwich that was quickly thrown together and didn't even bother to clean off the plate to make it more presentable - savory sandwich was not worth the price at all. It's something you can easily make at home. - Street parking only There was nothing different from this place than any other normal cafe or bakery. Nothing stood out. I think the main reason people go is because it's in a convenient and good location.

This may be the headquarters of Brandywine Coffee Roasters (part of the same business as Brew HaHa…read morecoffee) but they do not sell a wide range of Brandywine Coffee and the coffee that they serve in the cafe is under the label BrewHaHa. The coffee was fine, staff was friendly, and the space was very comfortable with plenty of seating and tables. As a roaster, Brandywine is amazing. I have ordered their beans many times for me pretty much all home brewing methods (hario, kalita, immersion, batch, and espresso). I am always impressed by the quality of their coffee, their wide range of offerings, and their artwork. But, if you are hoping to visit one of the best roasters in the country and try a variety of different coffees, this is not the place for you. No pour overs, and the espresso and drip coffee were only so-so. Beats Starbucks, Dunkin, and a lot of other coffee shops, but not a worthwhile detour/destination. The 4 stars is for the cafe experience. As a roaster, Brandywine is undoubtedly 5/5!

With coffee, you either "know" or you don't. By that, I mean, there are two types of coffee…read moreconsumers: Those that will drink anything categorized as coffee and those who are habitués. Coffee addic...I mean aficionados seek out the purest form of caffeine delivery in the spectrum of taste. Spending lots of money on single origin coffee, fancy grinders, and the like is not to get any enhanced caffeine high but it is to unlock discernible flavor profiles. Ask anyone who is familiar with single origin coffee and they probably could taste test a blind pour over and tell which region of Earth from which the fruit originates. Anyway, that aside, where is there to go with coffee purchasing beyond taste? Well, that's where the importance of who exactly is roasting and selling comes into play. Brandywine Coffee Roasters is a perfect example of blending art and taste. The art-part is standout here. I haven't really felt the need to save a coffee bag before and consider hanging on a wall, but it's easy to see why one might want to with the artwork of Todd Purse (local Delaware artist and resident screenprinter). I did some digging and Brandywine roasters actually started as BrewHaHa! and others in the 90s. It and has been around in its current form since 2015. I really enjoyed the bags; they apparently are all done in-house in a printing shop and are hand-printed. Besides the artwork, each bag has traceable detailed information about the coffee within and a wax seal. You can see how cool the artwork is; I picked up a few bags for Halloween. The coffee itself was on par with any other high quality small roaster; the roast is light to medium with a good smooth flavor profile that was mildly fruity but more subtle that I was expecting given the artwork (maybe next time I shouldn't look at horror movie inspired knife while tasting). Highly recommended, especially if you have a coffee lover and need a thoughtful gift.

There were two small groups of people noisily chatting away, the entire place was giving friendly vibes. The person behind the counter asked if it was my first time there, if I prefer hot drinks (yes), and that anything they have listed on their iced menu can be done just as well hot. He then asked what my regular drink was. I shared it was a cappuccino, and I do try some syrups, but don't like things that are too sweet. He then suggested a smoked chestnut cappuccino- I was in. I also ordered their "vegan" hummus sandwich, and one of the incredible looking prepackaged cinnamon rolls for later. The cappuccino was large. He had a metal lid on it that was set on fire. After a little he quickly put the lid on so the smoke was trapped in the cup. It was an interesting flavor, not sweet, I did enjoy it. The vegan was a very fancy open faced affair served with chips. It was a very good light meal. The gentleman who made the sandwich - the same guy who made the cappuccino - asked me by name how everything was. I can't remember my own name most days so the attention to detail was seriously impressive. After noting all the attention to detail I started looking up the owners info. Wasn't on their Instagram (which I did follow) but was buried somewhere on their website. The gentleman is Aaron, a trained chef who worked around the U.S. and France. Samantha is an established mixologist. No wonder their food and drinks are outstanding in flavor and presentation. Whenever I'm in the area I'll definitely be back. Check them out!

Keep going to the stop sign. When you're at the stop sign look across the street to the left and they're right there. I got lucky and found street parking right in front of their door. Walked in and they were packed. One tiny table open squashed between two others and the bar were my options so I sat at the bar. I try to pay cash at Mom & Pops place so they're not hammered by the credit card fees. They were low on change and recommending credit cards. I dug around in my pockets and found exact change. They were all out of pastries but one. I wanted to try their pasties de nada but all that was left was a croissant so I ordered it, along with their French toast and an oatmilk cappuccino. Turns out the croissant was already purchased by another patron who was going to have it after their meal. It hadn't been served yet. I received a refund. A couple showed up and sat at the bar as all the tables were full. Then someone else showed up and pointed at the seat I had my coat on saying they were told to sit there as it was the last seat open in the entire place. Packed. The French toast came out in good time but somehow my cappuccino got lost in the mix. It was immediately made and brought out. The French toast is as good as everyone says it is. Light, well filled, great flavor without being too sweet. I was trying to eat it all but had to stop 3/4 of the way as somehow it's filling. The cappuccino is also very good. I made the mistake of wanting to try them out at 11:45 on a holiday. 100% my bad. Considering there are only 3 people working the entire establishment, they did a great job. The food and drink were totally worth it and I will be back (at a less busy time)! *Quick add: I usually don't post while in the establishment but did here. Even with it being busy the owner came by to talk about the review and share a little about their business. They do evening events, private dinners. They also host guest chefs. Their goal is to elevate dishes, which is exactly what they did to the French toast. Based on this one breakfast I would definitely consider them for any function I was hosting in the area.
