This RV park is a long term RV park with a minimum of a 3 month lease, then it goes month to month. My husband needed a place to stay while he worked on an out of State job site. We found River's Edge and it worked for us. Monthly rent is reasonable, swimming pool, mail boxes, allowed our 19 yo motorhome to rent here. The manager is on site from 7 am to 3pm, M-F. She told us which site was available. We were able to park during the weekend then I did the lease and payment on Monday. It is along the Truckee River. This place is ideal for out of town workers who need a place to stay with their RV. It is a budget friendly option. It is off a busy street and in the path of Reno Airport, which doesn't bother us since we are from the San Francisco Bay Area. This is white noise for us.....lol. We were lucky to get the last spot. Nice location next to river. When called for availability she said 1 place left -ok. When arrived and after paying found out pool is closed, and bathrooms are closed. Ooo-ok since it is getting late we take it. Pull in and almost every site is a long term site, with stacks of cars that don't run. Somewhat of a clean place. Look around be fire calling here. And ask if all amenities are working ! read more

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The manager told me and my wife would had a spot there, even gave us the spot number. We drove 5 hours there with our trailer to have her call as we were pulling in to say that my background check came back with some over ten years old convictions. There was no apologies for even telling us it was all good to move in then not. She even lied about me not putting down on the application about convictions. I marked yes and even wrote down the state. The manager there is very rude and doesn't care about customer service or maintaining a good imaige for the property management company that over sees the RV park. read more

I tried to make reservations for my rv, called them directly and couple of times, no courtesy call returns for any type of information such as available spots,pricing ect. Very disappointed that do not care about customer service in any fashion, they must care of possible new clients. Unfortunately I am going to look to a proper professional place that appropriate to a consumer. read more

Okay well I was a little apprehensive about staying here due to the reviews. It was fine but not a place I would stay a week at. It was fine for one night. It was clean. The staff was not overly friendly, but not rude either. The pool was clean as well as the grounds. Hooking up cable was not easy. You get a box. There are a lot of full timers here. I did feel safe. Yes a lot of rules but ones we should follow. Dogs on leash, pick up your site, quiet time after 10pm etc. oh yeah loud planes! read more

I like this park, but the staff used to be better. Prices have increased a lot and they still haven't got billing right. I used to love to bring my son to visit his grandpa and we could enjoy the pool as a family, but now there are some unnecessary restrictions and silly rules, so I don't think we will be putting up with hassle any more. It's a shame, loved the "old" park, such a great location, and used to be great prices. read more

Where to begin. Today, me and my family went next order rock park. We decided that we were going to float down the river to spice Island. So me and my father drove the spice Island and drop his truck off. And then we went back up to rock park. My mom, who packed the lunch stuff Forgot to grab the water out of the cooler after we had bought the car originally. So me and my two children, one that is four and the other Who is two, And my parents Had no water for the ride. So naturally, being something close, I called this RV park. The receptionist answered the phone And was kind of short with me. I then asked if they had a little shop Where they sell water and snacks. She said yes. I asked if they took debit card, she again said yes. After our conversation I thanked her and then I walked to her RV park. When I got there I had explained her that I just got off the phone, and that I was going to buy some of her water. She then looked at me quickly and said I can't sell water to you. I asked her why. She explained that the water and the sodas and the snacks that they sell are only for customers of the RV park. I was genuinely pissed off at this point. I had explained to her my situation, and then she just shrugged it off like it didn't matter to her. She then pointed me in the direction of a grocery store that was "right down the street"(more then two miles away) And rudely told me to leave. 1. When I called originally she should've explained that If was not staying there at the RV park they would not sell Me water or drinks or snacks. 2. Even so that she didn't, I took time out of my day to go to their small convenient store inside their main office Specifically to get water for my two children That was probably turned down. 3. The rudeness of the woman behind the desk was extreme. You would think that given the situation they would help out their local Community, And their neighbors. But no they didn't instead, probably so she didn't have to ring anything up and get off of her fat lazy ass She just toss me aside. Now, every single time I go to rock Park which is quite often. If I am treated the same way by this place because I will be stopping by again I will write a bad review on yelp. read more

Under new management! Curtis and Wendy are fantastic! They have been he for about a year. This park is awesome. The Truckee River flows right next to the park. Lots of fun things to do. The people are nice and we all look out for each other. Good security and well kept park. Nice laundry and pool. Month to month lot rents. Rent is very reasonable! read more

Rude people. Owners should think of different front office staff. Will not be back here again. Showers are not clean, wifi didn't work at our space, not allowed to park in our parking spot they assigned us a parking spot but then someone else was parking in it. Mostly live-ins here-no place for the faint of heart. Yes, across from the river, but the river brings a number of homeless people and we had the police knock on our door because of an "incident" at the river and wondered if we had heard anything. Keep guns close. The bathrooms lock down at 10:00 PM and don't open again until the next morning, so better have self-contained RV. For $40.00 a night, there are a lot of nicer places to stay in the area. read more

I've stayed here before and it is a nice RV park. But-now with new owners, if you have an RV that's over 10 years old, you have to provide pictures to prove it isn't a pile. Well, needless to say, my 1977 bus is older than 10 years old and I wasn't going to deal with the gobbly goop of taking pictures. I stayed instead at Boomtown without question. read more

This place is amazing. Those other reviews are from people who obviously are disgruntled because it didn't go their way. I had a sewage leak. Instead of just throwing us out, they were very very helpful with fixing the leak. Taught us proper clean up, and had a repair man that was able to bill the park and we pay the park what was owed (It was an emergency and I was at work not able to answer.) all was very reasonably priced and able to be made on next months rent. Most ridiculous place I've ever stayed at. The manager is a large, robust, obnoxious and controlling psychopath who wants to dictate who and how many visitors are allowed to come visit. She is well connected with the rest of the RV park tenants almost like a small sized town where everybody knows everyone and is conspiring against you. It almost reminded me of the Hills have eyes or something along those lines. Anyway, I wouldn't recommend anyone stay here it is not worth it. We had prepaid upfront for 3 weeks to stay and throughout the first week alone we were constantly being monitored and bullied/harassed by the manager. She actually had the audacity to contrive stories about my guests that they were too noisy and rambunctious, claiming they were fighting and partying, when in fact they weren't loud or misbehaving whatsoever. In the beginning of the second week she literally banned my guests of which there were only two and they were on their best behavior and not as she claimed they were, so we ended up having to tell her enough is enough and we want a refund and to leave immediately. Oh and I almost forgot, as if everything else mentioned wasn't bad enough she claimed we weren't parked in the proper space and then proceeded to slap a large orange sticker on our motor home window which ruined our window and WOULDN'T COME OFF.(If I could give a negative vote in terms of stars I would, but since 1 is the lowest rating featured on this review section it will have to suffice. P.S. There is a constant bombardment of cacophonous jets and airplane sounds which incessantly fly over the park and cause disturbances such as windows vibrating etc. Also, they had the nerve to put on the heater during this summer in the shower houses which was unbelievable seeing as how it was already entirely too hot to begin with. Oh and if you should ever violate the shower cleaning house hours which were between 1-2 p.m. then you are in for a surprise, you will be sternly yelled at by the maintenance boy which appears to be the managers son. My family member (who is a female mind you) was just getting out of the shower minutes before the cleaning hours were to begin and the maintenance boy came in to the ladies shower house and yelled "If you're not out of here right now I'm going to shut the water off." All I can say is what a nightmare this place is in so many ways, I could go on and on with my reasons for hating this place but i'll just stop here. Should you ever find yourselves staying at the Rivers Edge RV park, I'd like to wish you all the best of luck and hope your experience was nothing like mine but I'm doubtful that it will be any different. read more

Rivers Edge has New Managers they are great . As a camper we see the park getting a face lift and looking great. Staff are very nice and professional . The park is clean and the Lodge is inviting, not to mention how clean the showers house and restrooms are. Just out the park is the Truckee river. It is very nice here . We would come back again. If you're planning on staying at Rivers Edge for more than a night, read this post! We hear there are new managers, but the people we dealt with were rude. (The former managers packed up and left in the middle of the night.) The Wifi does not stay connected. Dozens of residents complained. We were told they were "working on it", but it never got better. We had to buy an independent Hotspot and pay a monthly fee to a dealer. The cable t.v. does not get all the channels advertised. Charter wants to run cables through the window; the trees are so low they hit the top of our rig, which was very hard to live with in the famous Nevada winds; they won't clean up the leaves from their trees and expect the resident to do it; and when we were there you were required to take your dogs to the public River Walk or they fined you $20 bucks. The plane noise was never disclosed to us; and the pool was not heated (we were there in the summer). So we left and took them to Small Claims Court just this morning to get our pre-paid monthly rent back and reimbursement for the Wifi. Guess what? They brought in TWO hot shot attorney's to fight us and won. (We didn't know that Attorney's were allowed in Nevada to fight against the common people!!?? They are not allowed in other states.) Apparently, River's Edge is owned and managed by Storz Management out of Sacramento, CA. No one that we subpoenaed to court was allowed to speak. Only Storz Management and the Attorneys. Very strange proceeding, indeed. Save yourself major aggravation and consider staying elsewhere. read more
