Long story short. I was quoted wrong over the phone due to a misunderstanding that seemed like my mistake, to be honest. while they did not honor the quoted price, after some back and forth the manager\owner agreed to meet me in the middle for the quote discrepancy..which to me was reasonable - they took my car up right away and let me know there was a problem with my aftermarket exhaust and they may not be able to install but they would try anyways. They tried but because the exhaust system needed to be modified to make it work they could not do it. After they took the time to do the work and put my car back together, since they couldn't make the hitch work, they did not charge me anything and refunded my deposit in full. They also took the time to fully explain to me in detail and actually show me the issue so that if I do make the modifications I know what to ask for. They really did go out of the way to make sure i left happy despite the fact that we were unsuccessful. The service and friendliness at the shop is easily 5 stars based on my experience. I only knocked off 1 star because they could not do my exhaust modifications. If a shop is going to tell its customers they are "the best around" then i feel like they should be able to handle any job....especially a simple exhaust hanger modification. They did an amazing job installing my brake controller on my truck. Nick has great customer service and will take his time explaining how everything works. I went in with a quote of $455.00 and came out paying $320.11 (My truck had all wiring ready), their honesty will go a long way with me, they could have not said anything and charge me the quoted price in addition they even fixed my 7-way connector for free by replacing it with a new one. This is another review of Riverside Hitch and Trailer. I really wish I could leave 10 Stars for these guys, they are just that good. Once again, I failed to raise the rear stabilizer jacks on the rear of our 38.5' 5th Wheel prior to me raising the front up so I could hook up rig to our hitch. Actually, I did it again a couple of months ago and bent things pretty bad, but they still kinda worked. This latest time, however, was a real doozie! The yellow side support arms were all bent into a V, the jack arms were bent really bad, and the crossbeam that goes across the whole undercarriage that houses that long screw thing that turns and raises/lowers the jacks was bent to the point where the jacks would no longer work properly. It was a mess. I made an appointment and I showed up on time and they were ready for me. I had not even signed the work order paperwork before the technician, Jonny, was already wrenching on things. My son and I went to breakfast down the street, and 2 hours later I got a call saying it was done. I have no idea how so much damage could have been fixed in 2 hours. Jonny is a true master! 3 things I truly dig about this place. First is good customer service. They are pleasant towards customers and treat them kindly. Second is that they only charge you for the amount of time they work on your project. As of today, their labor rate is $90/hr. My bill was $180, and he worked on it for 2 hours. Really straight forward. Last, they have always gone over the work they have done and show you exactly how things were fixed and how they are operating properly now before you pay. Good stuff.... Needed 5th wheel hitch rails and electrical connection installed on my 2017 F250. Everywhere else quoted me about $250 more than Riverside Hitch. Made an appointment and dropped it off the afternoon before since they were able to store it indoors overnight. The install was done by early afternoon the day of the appointment and looked great. Had a hitch installed on our 2017 Ford Explorer today. Great service, fair price. On time appt. Got in, got out, boom.

I was all set to have a wonderful time with my family at the Colorado River with my family for Easter Holiday. On Thursday the 29th I was getting ready to hook up my Toy Box trailer. As I rolled on the ground to hook up the safety chain, I noticed a large crack in my hitch. I called Riverside Hitch in a panic asking if he could weld the crack. Rory the manager explained that due safety reasons it was not advisable to weld the crack. He said I would need a new hitch. I explained that we were planning to leave Friday morning. He said he was booked Thursday and Friday. He said bring the truck in right away and he would try to squeeze me in. I got there at 9:30 and he was able to squeeze me in at 10:45. Since it was just remove old hitch and install new one (wiring was OK) I was out of there by 11:30. Riverside Hitch saved my Easter trip with my family. Even though he was completely booked up, he was able to save me. By the way, we had a wonderful time at the river thanks to Rory and the guys. This place may be good but first they have to want your business. Yesterday I was greeted by "Eric" at the counter I hope to think he was just having a bad day but I am not too sure! I am having trouble with my trailer brakes on my travel trailer and was trying to replace damaged parts. He could not or would not help me without part numbers. I tried to explain that my trailer was broken down 75 miles away and getting part numbers was not an option. Totally frustrated I went to a rival trailer supplier in Ontario, Ca. This place earned its stars today. They were recommended by a near-by auto dealer. We called them this Saturday morning out of the blue just to see what options they had and when they can fit us. 3 hours later I was heading home with my hitch installed! They had a very well reviewed model for my car available and for a reasonable price. Total cost will not beat self-install but will easily cut a dealership quote in half. The guy I dealt with was fantastic, to the point but also informative for the random first-hitch questions I had. Install took less than 1 hour from the time I gave them the keys until I was driving home. I was able to keep myself entertained in the HomeDepot next door. My experience with these guys were awesome in that I called them at the last minute to do install a hitch. Initially I went the Uhaul but they stood me up twice even though I scheduled the appointment with them 3 months out. These guys are true professionals and provide great customer service. They really know their stuff and are the duty experts when it comes to installing any type of hitch to your vehicle. If anyone needs to have a hitch installed on their vehicle these are the pros you need to go to for they will take care of you. I have been there about 5 or 6 times in the past few years for a used horse trailer and going through 2 different trucks. Same set of guys there, they are all super nice, helpful, they know their stuff and prices are very reasonable. Most recently I needed some minor repair on some damage that I caused and they only charged me 20 dollars labor instead of the standard hourly labor wage that I bet most places would charge. These guys are the best, with extra props for Tom! I wish I could give them 6 stars. Brought my Jeep Wrangler in to repair the crappy 7 pin plug the RV dealership did. Riverside Hitch did the cleanest looking custom installation of a combo 7/4 pin in my steel Smittybilt bumper. Mounted it flush in the steel so I'll never damage it when rock crawling. Then I brought my wife's Jeep Trailhawk in for a brake controller when we found the dealership didn't connect the 7 pin correctly. Tom tells tells me to take it back to the dealership and hands me a new 7 pin test plug. Says to take it with me because the dealership probably doesn't have one and to just bring it back with me. Came back from the dealership and Tom's guys finished a very clean brake controller install. By the way, both of these installations were done while I waited. This is one of those times I am lucky another business let me down so I could experience RH&T. Had a quality hitch installed on my new Jeep Cherokee. Ended up getting the hitch cargo rack for it, and not the flimsy harbor freight deals I was originally looking at. Got the locking pin with key that I had no clue about too. Skip the dealership, I sat briefly in the waiting room with the Chevy dealer tech who brougt a Chevy customer truck so you may as well just come straight here and bypass the dealship, its gonna come here anyway. read more
