Full kitchen stocked with dishes, pots & pans & dishwasher. Room has a washer & dryer with detergent pods available for free. Within 1 block of Broadway (main drag area). Staff is friendly & accommodating. For what you get, it's a pretty excellent deal. Only a few minutes walk down to the beach - a few extra steps never hurt anyone. Few exceptions that don't give it a 5 Star review is the pool is small and often overly crowded. Free Breakfast is a nice addition but the breakfast area is small and crowded and options don't seem to rotate so after a few days of the same thing we opt to buy our own and eat in the room. read more

I was soo impressed!! I feel very comfortable and clean in this hotel, and even got to cook some food for myself in the kitchen! The chopping board and utensils were in LIKE NEW condition. I am sooo pleased! I don't usually scream when I enter places but this place made me almost scream with excitement when I walked in!! I LOVE the design, finishes, and layout. I wish I could live here!! I was sooo happy and excited when I discovered there was washer and drier inside the room!! I've never before stayed at a hotel that had a dishwasher, 4 seat dining table, fireplace, and bath tub with JETS!! Some of the appliances are mini-sized but they are charming and just big enough!! We have been staying here for over 7 years, but the quality has drastically slid downhill since 2016. My grandmother has swooned about this place for almost a decade and now we won't be returning. Let's go over why: The manager hovers over his employees and jumps all over guests the instant they come in. I appreciate the welcome, but I don't need one every 30 seconds coming in and out from the car and if I'm out on the grounds on a business call, I certainly don't need a salutation then, either. I shouldn't have to interrupt a client or miss what they're saying because the codependent manager needs to be validated that he's doing a good job. (He isn't.) This manager is obviously newish (since he wasn't even present in 2016 and everything was much like the previous 5 years we had stayed here last year) and has been trying to cut costs. This means that the 'breakfast' has slid drastically downhill. The waffle bar, fresh fruit, yogurt, and actual plates are gone. With a place charging only $20 less than a boutique hotel in downtown Seattle, I expect service. I got disappointment and sadness instead, with a bit too much snotty passive aggressive note placement in its place. In their place is a cheesy 'juice' machine (read watered down juice-mix) with a snarky little note about how juice is only served from 7-10am there's vending machines on every floor (all in caps, like we're some passive aggressive coworkers stealing someone's lunch). We are adults, we know that. With how much you welcome guests, you should treat them as guests and not like thieves or children. Your snotty little notes are not necessary and come off as passive aggressive (minus the all caps, of course...that's aggressive-aggressive) and petty. The gravy was old and was down at the bottom of the server before breakfast was even 2/3rds the way over. The quality of the food has been cheapened as well- the biscuits sucked, there were barely any bagels, and half the offerings were gone. The logistics of how you're serving people is RIDICULOUS. The way you have it set up creates a cluster of a situation with bottlenecks of people at 3 corners of the dining area. Set up one buffet line with a beverage service in the corner. It's smarter that way and won't lead to nearly half as many frustrated people and children spilling food. Using paper plates is unsanitary and isn't appropriate for what you're serving. Not only that, but your cardboard bowls don't fit in your trashcan. I had to touch the unclean nasty cover to the trash to throw my paper products away. We saw 3-4 kids try and keep their hard boiled eggs on paper plates that collapsed in the middle-- they fell on the floor and were either left behind or PICKED UP AND EATEN. You used to offer actual plates for this, I assume it's to cut costs and make the manager look good, but you will continue losing guests by labeling this as an 'amenity'. The happy hour, which I never took part in but thought it was nice, sees a return of the petty little notes from management. Something about a 2 drink limit. Sir, again, we are adults. Most of us have no desire to drink more than 2 of your cheap wine and the cheap lite beer you offer. Your little notes aren't necessary, except in rare occasions. If we're guests, act like it. This is ridiculously petty. We were dealing with the internet cost because it was such an awesome place to stay for almost a decade, but it's 2017. Time to modernize. Add on the sheets on the hide-a-way bed having a stain, the fact that there was still bacon from some pizza from god knows how long ago in the cushions (ew), and a reiterating of how obnoxiously obvious that management is behind 90% of the problems we've had for the *first* time in a decade and.... The service has fallen drastically in the last year. We're renting a cottage after almost a decade of visits and will not be returning here. How disappointing. read more

Pretty decent place that's only a few blocks away from the beach. The size of the 1 and 2 bedroom rooms are pretty good and each room comes with a kitchenette. Each bathroom has a jetted tub, though they do run a tad on the loud side. There's a free continental breakfast in the morning and a manager's reception in the evening with free beer, wine and non alcoholic beverages. There is also a pool, hot tub, and exercise room as well. The views from the rooms are pretty decent if you're facing the river and if you go to the top floor "Crow's Nest" you get a decent view of the ocean and beach. Having stayed in a three hotels in Seaside, this is my favorite so far. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable and the staff is very friendly. My only complaint is the last room I got, 121. It's right off the lobby and front desk so it's a high traffic area so it's not exactly the quietest room they have. During breakfast you can hear everyone in grabbing their food which includes children who are just waking up. Next time I'm in Seaside I'll select this hotel. It's a better value than the Shilo Inn which is on the beach just 3 blocks up. read more

Mine and my husband's go-to place in Seaside. They are always quick to accommodate my requests and have super friendly staff. We always get a one bedroom suite facing the river because it has all we need. It includes a fireplace, full kitchen with island, living room area, and has a separate bedroom. There is also a super long bathtub with jets. It's minutes walking distance from the promenade yet quiet and out of the way. The views of the water are beautiful. The hotel itself was nice minus the slow elevator that seemed a bit oudated so we used the stairs which wasnt awful since we were on the second floor. We checked in well after 4pm and the room wasn't ready. The wait was only about 10 minutes. The pool hours for kids has changed and the only way you know that is a small piece of paper given at check in now ends at 9pm. The sign on the door states pool hours for kids goes to 10pm adult swim 10pm to 11pm. We ended up with a sad little one the first night. I asked the front desk about the difference in the sign and the paper given at check in time and she said it was due to adults complaining about the lack of adult time at the pool. She was annoyed that I asked and was snippy about the explanation. The jacuzzi tub was a nice touch in the room. No sign explaining the self clean function that had us concerned the tub was broken. We figured it out on the second day. The dishwasher was half loaded when we checked in but we didn't mind since we were surprised by it. I made sure to run before we checked out. We wanted housekeeping to come in but per the front desk "some kid must have put a do not disturb sign on the door." They put a paper in the door stating that if we wanted maid service we had to call down by 2pm. We didn't return to the room till well after that. Then my biggest complaint... there was a washer and dryer in the room. We went to do a load of laundry and the washer wasn't working. I went down and requested maintenance to come look at it. The guy was up at the room quickly and seemed confused at why he was there. First he went to check the tub then we informed him it was the washing machine and he checked the dishwasher. Once again we let him know it was the washing machine. He looked and went off to grab his tools. When he came back he tried to figure out what was wrong and determined that it was a burnt out motor. He let the front desk know and they called asking if I wanted to use the washing machine in an empty room. I didn't want to be away from my family on our vacation so I declined where the front desk said they would make it up to us and appreciated our understanding of the situation. NOTHING... NOTHING was done to make it up to us. I am annoyed that we did not get what we paid for and a front desk staff who seemed annoyed that there were issues when we said anything about said issues. For the amount you pay for this hotel the service should be a bit better and they should pay more attention to the details when there are issues. read more

The best thing about this place is that it is located in Seaside, which is one of the stars here. But when you come to this lovely little coastal town, stay somewhere else!! I waited behind only one other guest to check in, and it took 15 minutes! The employee never made eye contact, apologized for the wait. Nothing. The room is fine though the layout is weird and makes everything feel very crowded. I stayed by myself, so it was ok, but even two people would have had to turn sideways in the kitchen to pass each other. The tub is amazing, which is the others star here! Huge, deep with jets...Ahhhhh. The staff is unfriendly, not only to me but to each other. They bickered with each other like kindergarteners in the lobby during breakfast, each blaming the other for the errors being made. I had a minor request for my room to be cleaned while I was out for the afternoon, and the woman at the desk acted like she didn't know what I meant, so I had to explain something that simple like 4 times before she begrudgingly said she'd take care of it. My smoke alarm went off when I toasted a bagel, and even after that commotion, they wouldn't grant me a one-hour late checkout. Blek. At least it was pretty cheap because I bought a Groupon for the stay. Never coming back even with a Groupon. read more

This Hotel is situated alongside the Necanicum River. The view is good and it's Close to the ocean, small shops and restaurants. You can just navigate on foot. Those are the positive things about this hotel for me. The negative part for me is...This is a pet friendly hotel. The grassy area in the back has a lot of dog poop. People that bring their dogs here don't clean up after their dogs which is disgusting. So watch your step!!! There is a small dining area in the lobby. Guests hang out there to drink their coffee and can get crowded most times. Breakfast is available but there's only boiled eggs and make your own waffle. The coffee and tea station supposedly available all day as advertised but not so. The jugs get empty fast and they're not able to keep up in refilling them. Our bedroom tv remote was no where to be found. Front desk staff is not so helpful and friendly so we didn't bother to ask. I have worked in the hospitality and service industry for a number of years, including Marriott, Intercontinental, a few boutique-style hotels, and helping open a brand new casino. Without a doubt, the staff at Rivertide Suites provided some of the BEST customer service I have ever experienced. My family had originally booked a room at a discount through Booking.com at another hotel in Seaside for the night and had a horrible experience, necessitating us to find another room at an affordable price since the first hotel refused to refund our room charge for the night. At 9:30pm, with two hungry and tired little kiddos and a dog who desperately needed to get out of the car, we were seriously frazzled. We called Rivertide Suites with the hope that they would have something to accommodate our room needs. Cindy at the front desk was incredible! She was so helpful and professional, empathetic to our situation, and secured us a room at their best available rate...only a couple dollars more than what we had paid at the other location. When we checked in, Cindy informed us that they had upgraded us to a two bedroom/two bath River View suite. The best room at their property! She also helped us get food delivered to our room from Angelina's at almost 10 o'clock at night. (By the way, if you've never had a pizza from Angelina's, you're seriously missing out!!) Our room was GORGEOUS! Just a bit smaller than my apartment, there was a full kitchen, two spacious bedrooms, two beautiful and large bathrooms, a washer/dryer, a huge living room with a dining nook, and an amazing balcony overlooking the Necanicum River. Our complimentary breakfast the next morning was a perfect solution for the kids, and the front desk was generous enough to provide us with a late check out since we arrived so late the night before. Our only regret is that we didn't originally book at this hotel and check in earlier so we could enjoy the room longer and get to use the pool/hot tub and the rooftop deck. Check out was smooth and efficient, and the morning desk clerk (sorry I didn't get your name!) was just as sweet and helpful as Cindy the night before. We will most definitely be returning to Rivertide Suites for our next trip to Seaside. In fact, our stay here was such a great experience that we will most likely choose Seaside as our overnight stop regardless of the towns we visit at the North Oregon Coast. This place is really great. The location is fantastic as you can walk to the beach or into town in minutes. The rooms are great with all of the amenities. I am giving this hotel a 1, because they do not honor your online reservations. I attended my sister's wedding, and I had booked 1 year in advance. I was told the price was going to be $338, and I had gotten a studio; the most basic room w/o the kitchenette. When I checked in, I was told it was $780.00, and that I had been switched to a room in the 3rd floor, over looking the river. I am very disappointed, because after my sister spoke with the sales coordinator, she was advised that the online price would be honored. Today I checked my online statements, and come to find out, that they charged the rest. Their rooms are spacious and beautiful. But I disagree with changing a reservation w/o the guests consent. This not only happened to me, but they also did the same thing to my sister and my mom. Their reason, was because they wanted the bride and brides family to be more comfortable. Okay, but how about you contact them first and make sure it is okay?? Either way, their breakfast is okay, given the amount of money you are paying to stay in such an expensive hotel/suite. We went back to Rivertides for our anniversary after our first experience was quite positive. Our second experience was unfortunately not up to par. Absent Management? On our first night someone in the hotel staff walked in on us while we were being intimate in our room. I have never stayed in a Hotel where the staff does not knock before entering a room. The door was locked and the staff member used the key card to enter our room without even knocking first. The manager was not available so we brought it to the attention of the concierge. He had already been informed of this but no one in management apologized to us for this happening and it was never formally acknowledged. I personally felt embarrassed and the staff did not ease our feelings in any way. Dirty Dishes? The dishes in the dishwasher were not started before the last person left. Just to clarify, it was clear the dishes had not been started and were not just hard to wash dishes. We also informed the concierge of this- he responded by giving us extra dishwasher liquid. Thanks so much. How was your stay? When we checked out, another concierge was on duty and did not ask us how our stay was. Thanks again. The hotel is a lovely ocean neighborhood resort. The rooms were very well-maintained and the bed was super comfy and the pillows were fluffy. The en suite Jacuzzi tub was dreamy!! Debby at the front desk was most definitely the best staff member; so warm, helpful, smiling and friendly although the catering staff for breakfast was very sweet too! The location was fabulous as it was an easy walk to all of the activities but not in the middle of all of the noise! There was one front desk employee who was in his 20's, heavier set with blond curly hair who was not represented of the rest of the awesome here. He said that our room wasn't ready at check-in time so we sat there with all of our belongings waiting the nice gal at the little desk across from his desk looked and it was ready! as a matter of fact the paperwork was printed and our keys had been attached to it and it was right next to his right hand and he never bothered to look. I could see the nice gal who was helping us look at him confused because all of our information was sitting right there as we had been there two hours earlier to see if we could check in earlier. I also him witnessed being selective in who he was friendly to and who he was not friendly to. very happy son and I walked in after being at the beach behind another family and we saw him welcoming them back and my son smiled and waved at him and said hello and he just stared at him blankly. It was horrible. It Confused my son as to why he would be so nice to the family in front of us but not to us. I have been going to this place for years, but was disappointed during our last stay for two reasons. One, they label themselves as dog friendly, but it doesn't inform you that you will be charged $35/night for dogs. Was surprised at that when we checked in. Secondly, the breakfast was really cruddy compared to previous visits. The same thing two days in a row- hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, & biscuits & gravy. Riverview suites is a terrible hotel. Watch your back watch your items. Got my iPhone stolen there and after police reports and insurance claims they still pretend it did not happen. I was looking forward to our stay here. The suite was modern and well furnished. Liked having the kitchen and washer & dryer in our suite. All very nice. Nice modern bathroom. The real issue was the bed. We stayed in room 321 and the king bed was the worst I have ever slept on. The mattress was completely worn out and sloped to the center of the bed. Felt like I was sleeping on the side of a hill. Did not help my back at all. We only stayed one night. When we informed the front desk the person did not seem to really care that we just had one of worst nights sleep ever. Two other minor issues. On check-in I was informed they just gave our room away. Took a couple of minutes to resolve no big deal. No napkins or paper towels in the kitchen. Need to bring your own or use the cloth towel. If the bed had been in good condition I would have rated this a four star. read more

We opted for the 800+ sq ft suite. Our room looked newly remodeled, granite counters, fully stocked kitchen, dishwasher, stove, fridge. got dirty clothes? theres a washer and dryer. There is also a full living room with table and flat screen, two bathrooms: one with a granite appointed shower with large shower head, the second with a jetted tub. Not to mention the two bedrooms, a master and then a smaller bedroom. the fireplace (electric) but nice visuals.. and of course an outdoor balcony with seating. There is also a pool. It seems to be a very family/kid friendly establishment .. but so well insulated you'd be surprised there were kids around.. All i can say is wow .. The staff was friendly (no really, i got asked multiple times if my kids got their complimentary sand dollars yet). Free breakfast was standard, but still tasty. Yes, its "two stars" due to the lack of the amenities (no restaurant, room service, etc) but plenty of local businesses will deliver. This will be a lot cheaper than those 4-5 star joints. I have a very short list of 2 star rated hotels that deserve a 5 star rating, and this is one of them. On the fence? Just book it. read more

This is my second or third time staying here and it will be my last. It began with the delayed check-in (many of us waited well over an hour to be checked in). Our room was the studio. The room looks superficially clean but it needs a deep cleaning to get the grime out. I wiped the base of the backsplash behind the sink and it was brown. The fan blades are brown/black from years of not being cleaned. We had to turn the fan on and open the windows because the smoke alarm went off from making toast, twice (and the toast was still white when done) . The entry light flickered on/off a couple of times for a couple of days. Maybe there's a wiring problem in our room. Room haphazardly cleaned and restocked. Had to ask for toiletries repeatedly. Breakfast was not as advertised. No yogurt for our entire stay and the complementary newspapers were gone by 7:15. Bed was uncomfortable. Pillows lumpy. I would think for the competition nearby they would drop their price or step up and make it worth the price. Pluses: It was quiet and they make great coffee. read more

I was lucky enough to stay in a 2 bedroom condo-style suite at The Rivertide for 11 nights this January. I had a wonderful stay, and will definitely request this hotel for my next school conference. The hotel is fairly new, and the rooms have up-to-date features like flat screen TVs. The bed is freakishly comfy. I had a jetted tub in my room, which I used twice and also wish I could pack home with me. All of the employees I encountered at the hotel were extremely friendly and accomodating. There were all kinds of little perks, like fresh cookies in the afternoon and wine served at night. There were a wide variety of TV channels available, so I was able to watch Good Eats by the sea. The staff went out of their way to thank us for being there, and make us feel welcome even when we were far away from home. They'd ask us about our days, strike up conversations in the lobby, and made our rooms look wonderful for our daily returns from the conference. If you're looking for a clean and comfortable hotel without that dingy tourist tack that is all too common on the coast, definitely go to the Rivertide. I'll trade a direct ocean view a million times over for this level of comfort. read more

Downsides: Breakfast needed some more meats/protein but good variety. Wi-Fi was SLOW and while $10 for whole stay (2 nights) should be free given the price. House cleaning could do more than superficial cleaning (try emptying the dishwasher before we check in.) A little pricey but having 2 bedrooms was great for us. read more

We had a GREAT stay at the Rivertide Suites, so great I wish it had been two nights instead of one! The location is set back off the beach, yes, but its a quick walk to the ocean and on a cold windy day like the day we were there, we didnt mind at all. We had a two bedroom suite, bedroom one had a queen bed, closets, and was small but cozy. The beds were wonderful and there were extra pillows. Across the hall from this is a bathroom with a shower stall, toilet closet, and large sink area. A small hallway with a washer and dryer connects to the master suite, a cozy king bed and large flat screen TV, and a gorgeous bathroom with jetted tub, shower, and double sinks. The kitchen was large and well equipped, we could have cooked anything we wished in it- and there was a dining room table that seated 4 as well as bar stools at the kitchen counter for an additional two. There was a cozy living room with a fireplace, a balcony with seating, a cozy club chair, and a comfortable couch which I believe was a pull out but we didnt use. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and we truly enjoyed the staff, they were friendly and helpful. The breakfast room is a tad clumsy with its large chairs, if they went with smaller chairs they could fit more tables and people, but we understood they were fully booked and we went down a bit late. Breakfast was hot and they were bringing fresh waffles, biscuits, and gravy out all the time. The wifi was fast (once I acquired the password!) and thats pretty important to me since I work from my computer. The pool was smallish but nice, and stayed open late (another huge deal to me.) over chlorinated though. This is the best hotel I've stayed at on the coast thus far in our price range and I would not hesitate to go back. read more

If you are ever down here Rivertide Suites is awesome. 2 bedrooms, 2 bath one with jetted tub, full kitchen with everything you need, fireplace, washer and dryer in room; balcony with view, spa, pool, breakfast included, right in the heart of the city. $169 a night!!! Beautiful hotel along the river. Stayed in the two bedroom suite with river view which was perfect . Everything you need at your fingertips. Makes you feel like your at home. 2 bedrooms 2 full bathrooms one is an on suite to the master with a jetted tub. A living room with a pull out sofa and a kitchen. also a stacked washer an dryer which was great. Would love to come back an stay longer. Incredible hotel. Great rooms an impeccable service. You also get a breakfast in the dinning are from 7 - 10. Highly recommend this hotel if your in this Area. read more

Such a nice place! I came here at the last minute after a disastrous experience somewhere else. The room is comfortable, spotless, and actually a tiny little apartment. I will be back many times, I'm sure. Also, front desk staff are fabulous. read more

A great place to stay! Our room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel is no more than five minutes walking to the beach. We didn't find a good restaurant in Seaside...if we go back I'd plan to stay at the Rivertide and cook in the room. The kitchen has everything you need to cook for yourself, and there's a Safeway just a few blocks away. read more

Stayed in seaside for 2 nights on a whim. Hadn't been there before so wasn't sure where to stay. Chose the rivertide base on previous reviews and the fact it looked updated. Overall good hotel. If it were on the ocean I would give it a 5. The rooms were very nice, full kitchenette, updated and clean. Note that mountain view rooms also means parking lot view. Didn't matter to much since its the winter. The wifi costs $10 per stay and was spotty at best. The staff was very friendly and helpful in trying to resolve it. I would stay there again but make sure to get a river view room if it were summer time. read more
