We had a large party and all the servers went above and beyond to take our orders, promptly bring our food to the table, and to ensure our drinks were continuously topped off. I ordered blackened catfish with potato salad and fries. The catfish was very good. It was fresh--well prepared and tasty--but it was not really blackened, it just had pepper powder sprinkled on it. The fries were good. The potato salad was ok, but it was a vinegar-based salad, which is not my favorite. The other members of my party--who mostly got fried fish platters--loved their meals, except for one other person who also got the blackened catfish and was also disappointed to find that it was not really "blackened." read more

This was an amazingly and awesome place for dinner. First time we went I couldn't even get a parking space so we ended up leaving. But we left with determination to return and early enough to beat the rush. After having dinner there tonight I realized why they get sooooo busy. ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! Me and my friends went here. 5 of us, not knowing what we want the server was very efficient in pointing us to what we would like. I personally got the coconut shrimp, and ate the salmon with fries. The salmon was buttered and cooked to perfection. Everything was fresh, and as I was eating a man came in with even more fresh ingredients from a market. This was a little feature that just added to the experience. My friend got the flounder with the French fries and fried zucchini, It was expertly cooked, and their homemade BBQ sauce went swimmingly with the fries. About the only thing they get right are the deviled crabs and fried okra. Everything else was below average. Our whole flounder was dry and tasteless. The baked potato was undercooked and felt like it was cooked in a microwave. Even the lemon meringue pie which cost $38 for a whole one was unimpressive. Publix's blows it away. read more

This was a great place. Loved the water views and the staff was friendly! People were so friendly. Stated a local Marina and did not have a car. They actually came and got me from the marina and returned me after my meal. Everything was delicious. I had New England style fried clams. I didn't know I could even get them in the south. Unfortunately what I know to be "Rhode Island style" chowder was on the menu, but not available that night. Love love love this cute little cafe! I've always had a hard time finding local mom and pop shops in the Onslow county area. This place is definitely homey and has a good community. Was recommended to come here by a coworker, arrived and the place was really busy, so instantly I'm thinking the food here has to be great, waited for about 10 minutes before we set down party of 3, we ordered the hot crab dip(I didn't like it, but my wife loved it.) I had the the seafood platter of 3( fried oyster, fired flounder, and fried shrimp) food was excellent, my wife had the seafood platter 2 (catfish, and shrimp) once again food was excellent, I also had the peel & eat shrimp( the drink were huge) all in all the food was outstanding, the service was amazing. Fifteen of us descended upon Riverview in search of hush puppies and celebrating our mom's 70th birthday. What a wonderful experience on both accounts! Staff was super quick to set up a table in the back room with a nice view and immediately acknowledged we needed to keep things moving due to the seven kids with us. Several of us ordered the fried shrimp and flounder both of which was perfectly breaded and with yummy sides. I had the broiled shrimp which was nicely seasoned but a tad heavy on the butter. Salad eaters commented on the freshness of the veggies. We all agreed it was one of the tastiest meals we've had in the area and we've been coming here summers for 30 years.
