People were so friendly. Stated a local Marina and did not have a car. They actually came and got me from the marina and returned me after my meal. Everything was delicious. I had New England style fried clams. I didn't know I could even get them in the south. Unfortunately what I know to be "Rhode Island style" chowder was on the menu, but not available that night. If you like to try a bunch of different fried seafood, this is your place. We got fried scallops, shrimp, okra, catfish and flounder with some French fries. Key lime pie was also really good. The best part is they had nice seats by the water with shade. read more

Love love love this cute little cafe! I've always had a hard time finding local mom and pop shops in the Onslow county area. This place is definitely homey and has a good community. The menu has a good selection of different types of seafood and you can find ways them fried or grilled. The hush puppies are absolutley delicious! Was recommended to come here by a coworker, arrived and the place was really busy, so instantly I'm thinking the food here has to be great, waited for about 10 minutes before we set down party of 3, we ordered the hot crab dip(I didn't like it, but my wife loved it.) I had the the seafood platter of 3( fried oyster, fired flounder, and fried shrimp) food was excellent, my wife had the seafood platter 2 (catfish, and shrimp) once again food was excellent, I also had the peel & eat shrimp( the drink were huge) all in all the food was outstanding, the service was amazing. Fifteen of us descended upon Riverview in search of hush puppies and celebrating our mom's 70th birthday. What a wonderful experience on both accounts! Staff was super quick to set up a table in the back room with a nice view and immediately acknowledged we needed to keep things moving due to the seven kids with us. Several of us ordered the fried shrimp and flounder both of which was perfectly breaded and with yummy sides. I had the broiled shrimp which was nicely seasoned but a tad heavy on the butter. Salad eaters commented on the freshness of the veggies. We all agreed it was one of the tastiest meals we've had in the area and we've been coming here summers for 30 years. I can't say enough about the staff. Super impressive! We even bought my mom a t-shirt on the way out. Thank you for making a meal with 15 people enjoyable! read more

However, I found the food alright honestly...everything was fried and nothing was served with an inkling of seasoning. I assumed the flounder wouldn't be fried so I asked for just grilled and the server gave me bug eyes looking like I just asked for grilled sewage because I didn't want it batter fried. Good food. We got the ribs and fried shrimp for $16.99. My ribs were all fat. I got literally three bites off of them. The shrimp were ok. They weren't sweet like fresh shrimp. The applesauce is from a jar not fresh made. I did over hear that their pies are pretty good. You get hush puppies when you sit down. They're yummy and hot.
