Yummy food and great scenery. We were able to pick our own seats and got a seat outside. Food was made quick and tasted great. They have a dock area you can walk out on and fish off.

Love this place! Great food. Awesome for gluten free. Can't beat the view! We enjoyed every aspect each time we have been. My favorite dish is the gluten free flounder.

This restaurant provides a calm and unique atmosphere. The wait from the time we ordered to the time we received our food was minimal. The only reason I didn't rate 5 stars was the sodas were in a can so it was not refillable.

    Wedding party fun!

I wanted to share the most amazing experience at Riverview. We hosted our daughter's wedding there on Sunday , March 30th, and it was over the moon fantastic! The location is gorgeous, the facility so spacious and comfortable, and everyone was raving about how magical the night was. Amy, the manager , assisted me the entire year prior of planning this affair. Every time I emailed her, she emailed me right back with helpful answers. She made the planning so easy and successful! I cannot praise her enough. She is professional, helpful and just all around wonderful to work with. She also bartended the event, and did a wonderful job. I highly recommend Riverview for any event.

"Delicious dive on Lake Park Blvd in Carolina Beach"…read more Came here for lunch on a Sunday at right around noon. The place is dark and kind-of makes you feel like you're in the bowels of a wooden ship. There's a large bar in the center, and a few tables around it, as well as a few tables outside in the back. We were seated right away. I ordered the hot honey shrimp wrap as well as the pickled veggies appetizer. My dining partner got the quinoa grain and greens bowl with blackened tuna. Our food came out in around 10 minutes. The hot honey shrimp wrap came with french fries, to my surprise (didn't see that mentioned on the menu), which were fine. The wrap itself was DELICIOUS. MAN, that hot honey was SO tasty, and the greens and corn batter on the shrimp really complemented it well. It is a very, very messy dish to eat with your hands, so be prepared, but it's well worth the sacrifice. The pickled veggies were local and very tasty-- also a very good value for $5. My dining partner really liked her bowl and the tuna in it as well. The staff were quite attentive, regularly checking in, filling drinks, and clearing dirty plates. Only caution is that a lot of the batters are corn-based, so be careful if you have that allergy. Overall, would very happily come back-- great in all respects. I recommend highly!

Friends had the Burrito de Camarones (shrimp) and her husband had the Burritos Deluxe. They both said they were fantastic and they had more than enough for leftovers. They could only each eat half. Told you they are big!! I had the Tacos Mexicanos, with chicken. Kind of bummed that all three tacos had to be one meat/vegetarian option. Couldn't mix, but they were delicious! The tortillas are advertised as homemade and they did not disappoint. I'm glad I went with this option because my friend did the combination plate of a chicken hard shell taco, chicken enchilada and beef flauta. It looked dry to me and she confirmed it was really dry. We had Shrimp Ceviche; extremely tasty but a bit more spicy than I would like, but still good. The house made sangria was ok. They emphasize it's made with real fruit but it felt like a can of fruit cocktail was just mixed in it. The restaurant is large, and plenty of space, so it seemed, but you can order pick up if you'd rather not eat there. We ordered the fajitas Texan style, we shared this dish, our food came out hot and fast. We were pleasantly surprised with the food, we've eaten here over the years but today's meal was truly delicious and flavorful. There was plenty of shrimp (normally most Mexican restaurants only put 4 shrimps) this dish was covered in shrimp, along beef & chicken. There were plenty of crunchy vegetables that were not overcooked. My grandson had the chicken tenders they were a bit small but he said they were good. Our server checked on us more than a few times to make sure we didn't need anything else. We had a nice meal and the food was plentiful. They had served us a large basket of warm chips and the salsa was spicy. We left feeling full and satisfied.

"Delightful seafood, entertainment, and more in Carolina Beach"…read more Stopped by here on a holiday Saturday night at just after 6pm, party of 2. Amazingly, we were able to get a table right away. The place is mostly "open air" with two covered areas and a few spots in the sun. A few folks had dogs there, too. They also have little spinny things on the table to keep flies away (apparently called "fly fans"). Note, enter on the beach-side, not the other side, to meet the host. There's also a stage inside for entertainment (which started later than we were there, but the band was setting up). We ordered the ahi tuna nachos, and I got a crabcake sandwich. My partner got black pearl salad. Food came out in under 20 minutes, which was impressive given the place was HOPPING. The ahi tuna nachos were ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. They had bits of mango, a delicious sauce, really good nachos (made from wonton wrappers), and the tuna was amazing (served rare). It was about $20, but a very large helping. This would make a great meal for one person eating that alone. The crabcake was fine-- nothing unusual but tasty. I may not order that again, but it was good. My dining partner said the black pearl salad was really good and liked the blackberries, feta, and walnuts in it as well as the vinaigrette. Our drinks got refilled, and plates were taken away quickly when we finished any part of the meal. Our server was really nice, too. Overall, I would happily go back, and DEFINITELY want that ahi tuna nachos dish again. I recommend-- very good.

If you're looking for one of those places where everything just lines up--the weather, the food,…read morethe mood--this is it. Out on the pier at Tiki Bar & Ocean Grill, you've got a front-row seat to the Atlantic, and on a day like today, it doesn't get much better. Blue sky, sun hitting the water just right, and a breeze that reminds you why people have been coming to the coast long before fancy resorts showed up. Food Simple answer: they've got it dialed in. Fresh, well-prepared, and exactly what you want at the beach. No overthinking it--just good coastal food done right. That's how it's supposed to be. Service Friendly, easygoing, and attentive without hovering. The kind of service that makes you feel welcome but doesn't interrupt your view--or your drink. Atmosphere This is where they really win. Sitting out over the water with string lights overhead and waves rolling in? That's hard to beat anywhere. Now, yes--the beach itself has those big metal pipes running through for replenishment. Not exactly postcard material. But here's the truth: once you're up on that pier, looking out over the ocean, it barely matters. The view still does what it's supposed to do--makes you slow down and stay a while. Final Take Great food, solid service, and a view that carries the whole experience. Even with the beach work going on, this place delivers what a coastal spot should: good eats, cold drinks, and a reason to sit a little longer than you planned. If the weather's right, don't overthink it--grab a seat, order something simple, and enjoy it the way folks have been doing for generations.

Our service was quick and efficient! We snuck in right before the rush around 5:45 PM our server Kyra was wonderful! Her timing was excellent and her suggestions were spot on! She was friendly, efficient, and just added to the great experience that all four of us had! My husband and I shared the mahi special and something called Crete Beets ( spelled on the menu beats); both were absolutely delicious! The mahi was prepared perfectly and had a nice light creole sauce which they put on the side for dipping and the crab mac & cheese was delightful with asparagus that was cooked on point; not overdone and not underdone which I know in restaurants is sometimes difficult to do. The crete "beats" was more or less a charcuterie board of roasted purple and gold beats with the most delicious whipped dip and perfectly seasoned and baked pita some of the best I've ever had with olives and cucumbers, and pickled red onions! I can't really describe the dip and apparently it's top-secret because I asked for the recipe! Our friends ordered the beet salad with extra beets; shrimp Tapatio and a bowl of the soup of the day. All were delicous and there was not a crumb or a drop left on their plates while my husband and I were still eating ours! The soup of the day was a potato jalapeño cheddar and it did not disappoint! this seriously is one of the few consistent restaurants on the island! I'm still dreaming about my food this morning!

It feels relaxed, welcoming, and full of appreciation for the music and history. Soul music belongs to everybody who loves it, whether it's classic soul, Motown, or even a little blue-eyed soul mixed in. This place feels like it's celebrating that tradition, not exploiting it. Natalie took great care of us and gave us the kind of service that makes you feel right at home. I had the chicken and noodles, which were rich, comforting, and the sort of dish that would make your grandmother nod in approval. Mimi had the Tropical Tikia Marsala with scallops, shrimp, mahi filet, mango, pineapple, coconut rice, and it was outstanding--sweet, savory, and just different enough to make you wonder why more places don't cook like this. We finished by sharing the warm toffee pecan bread pudding, and if you leave without trying it, well, that's like walking out of church before the choir sings. Great food, great atmosphere, and great service. Soul Flavor is a Carolina Beach gem, and we'll definitely be back.
