We sat inside because it was a little steamy outside, and we were amused by the stickers and skateboards covering every inch of the restaurant. Our server was friendly and helpful. Since we were wondering how many tacos to get, I'll just say I think 2-3 per person is plenty. They do really pile them high, so 2 and some chips was great for me. My husband enjoyed 3 (we both loved the fried mahi, and the shrimp, and he also enjoyed the ground beef). These chips and guacamole were amazing- the chips almost tasted like Doritos and the guacamole was nice and garlicky! We were talking about these chips for days! The setup is a small, skater-style shack, but don't let that fool you, the tacos are creative and genuinely tasty. If you order the queso, it comes with a huge basket of heavily seasoned chips, which was a great surprise and perfect for sharing. We came with a group of six and sat outside enjoying the spring weather, and the whole experience just felt easy and fun. Everyone found something they liked, and the food came out fresh and flavorful across the board (tacos, burrito, and tortilla bowls). They also have beers on draft and a cool skate shop vibe with merch, which adds to the uniqueness of the place. Nothing exceptional about the service but the food and vibe did the heavy lifting. This place rocks. My wife and I went here for dinner one night. This place is in eye shot of our AirBnb and about a block walk. It's a fun, divey little taco joint that serves other things as well, but everyone seems to suggest getting the tacos or the nachos. Its recommend anyone with a decent appetite thats looking to get tacos get 3 tacos. I got the Blunt side beef taco, Method mahi (fried of course) and shuv-it shrimp taco. All were excellent. My wife got the shrimp and Mahi tacos too. We loved them. The chips were the real surprise they were some of the best tortilla chips we've had in a long time. They were seasoned in a way that reminded us of cool ranch Doritos. This place has inside and outside seating. Not a ton of inside seating. The staff was nice and very quick with getting food to us. Nollies tacos are fantastic! We were so glad we checked this place out. You can basically get chicken, shrimp, asada or mahi as tacos, nachos, or a quesadilla. I opted for tacos and my husband got a quesadilla. We also shared guacamole and chips. The meal was fresh and delicious! Full bar, beer and wine options. The people there are so nice too! The staff were friendly and we met a couple regulars too. Nice older gentleman that's lived in the area for 30 years was especially kind to us. There are seats outside and a bar inside facing out. Feeling hungry, 6 friends and I went in for dinner last night visiting Carolina Beach. We ordered waters for the table as well as other drinks to which we were provided plastic water bottles and cups which I thought was peculiar but I digress. We ordered a scrumptious batch of fresh chips and queso to start, and while the tacos were also delectable, I wouldn't say they were worth the long wait. While I'm not keen on the exact timeframe, it was long enough for my beer to be warm and flat! Just wanted to follow up on my original review of Nollie's Taco Joint, happy to report it's still just as good as I remembered. We ordered the salsa sampler, jackfruit tacos, and fish tacos this time around. Everything was amazing, fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The jackfruit tacos especially stood out, and the variety of salsas was a great way to kick things off. Seating is still pretty limited, which is something to keep in mind. It's a first-come, first-served setup, and we ended up grabbing seats at the bar (which actually turned out great). Drinks came out fast, which was a bonus, and the overall vibe remained relaxed and welcoming. I drove to Nollie's today to try their tacos for the first time. I paid $7.21 for parking, which certainly drives up the average price of tacos, only to find out they are closed on Mondays. So Maps show they're open, Yelp shows they're open and on their Facebook page I couldn't find any hours posted . I'm not a Facebook fan so maybe I missed it. They have no website, so seriously make sure your hours are accurate for your customers. I haven't decided if I think the taco prices are worth it with the parking for just one person. read more

First... the food was incredible. Very flavorful. Huge portions. But the waitress got my order wrong twice and never fixed it. She also didn't fix the receipt so we paid more for the food then we should of and she still didn't fix it when I told her. It gets super busy and crowded. We could barely walk inside. Nollie's Taco Joint had huge, flavorful servings! Here's what we had: I had the shrimp nachos, it was full of flavor with black beans, tomatoes, sprinkle cheese & queso cheese! He wanted to go back a couple hours later for more. The jalapeno margaritas were super yummy. Service was great. It's small and crowded, but so are most places around. Sitting outside is delightful. Everything we had was great! The shrimp taco was my favorite because the shrimp were seasoned very well but not too much. They also have several hot sauce options if you like your taco to have a little heat. The guacamole and the spicy salsa was our two favorite dips. The chips have a little seasoning which are my favorite kind. To drink I had the damn right with the watermelon lager. This was the best beer cocktail I ever had. It was refreshing especially for a warm evening. Our service was good and the patio is great to eat and people watch from.
