The blackjack dealers with whom I interacted were all very pleasant, but I couldn't sit for more than about 45 minutes before the cigarette smoke started to give me a headache and disrupt my play. Riverwind does have a non-smoking area available, but the area doesn't have any table games; it's just slot machines. And while food court area doesn't permit smoking, diners still have to deal with smoke because the area has no walls to separate it from the rest of the smoke-filled casino. I'm bumping up my ratings folks. I have been here numerous times and feel I have a real account of this casino. This place is pretty decent! I know a lot of people lose but some win real big. I have seen it. I still wait for the day of the "hand pay" but if you can take $100 to a casino, spend 4+ hours there and leave with more than you started with, you are doing good. And you can't do that at every casino. Here you can. I have my favorite games as I am sure many do, but still have not won the BIG ONE yet. One day hopefully. It is a really good casino and the buffet is decent too. All the staff who work here are all very pleasant. Ventilation has been a bit better over the last few times I have went but I still have to strip down and wash my clothes after I get home, and because of this, I limit what clothes I will wear there. I don't gamble so I only went for the All You Can Eat buffet. And thank goodness my boyfriend had a coupon for 2 free dinners because it was no where close to worth $39.95/person! Not even with the snow and king crab legs. First strike is the casino allows smoking inside and the smoke was sickingly thick, which made me nauseous while standing in line. We got there a little after 6 pm (the buffet is Saturdays 5 - 10 pm) and the line was already pretty long. You stand in line to pay, then in another line to be seated, then another line for the crab legs, the another line to go down the food line... Second strike was we didn't actually sit down to eat until 8:20 pm so we had stood in line for 2 hours! We noticed the serving line was severely understaffed, which is what likely led to the extremely slow moving lines. Third strike was, aside from the crab legs, the rest of the buffet was not good. The best thing on my plate was the sweet potatoes and my boyfriend said the mashed potatoes and gravy was the best thing on his plate. Fourth strike was the line for the crab legs was so long, there was no way we were going to stand in line AGAIN, so we only got one small bucket each, of crab legs. The valet and operations staff here are horrible. I've been an elite member here for years and as of recently started using the valet to save time searching for parking and having to part far out. 5/5 times and with 2 different vehicles they had issues that were due to the valet being too rough with something in the vehicle. This last time they broke my key and decided to blame it on wear and tear /age instead of holding their velvet accountable. honestly it wasn't a big deal until they started placing blame vs holding the employee responsible accountable. The absolute worst run buffet in the history of casinos. I understand Covid but when you're out of tables and nobody is getting up, you need to tell the people who have been waiting in line for an hour that it's going to be another hour. Also, you have to stand in line to get your food after you've stood in line over an hour for a table. On all you can eat crab night you only get one serving at a time so, the majority of your time is spent in line. There needs to be a lot more communication between guest and staff. The VIP line has to go as well. Seriously that is simply allowing people to cut line and everyone hates it. I've been to this buffet before and this was not how it was run at all. They offer valet parking which isn't available as readily during the day as the night which stinks some times. They have mounds of parking spaces and 2 entrances which is great on entertainment nights. This casino is better than Newcastle, Lucky, or the other ones besides WinStar. River wind is close to getting away when I don't feel like driving to WinStar. The selection is decent & the drink prices are good also. One of my favorite casinos in OK. It's big enough that you don't feel like you're rubbing elbows with your neighbor, but small enough to still know you're in Oklahoma. I believe Riverwind is a relatively new casino in general but it's nice to see the vibrant color changing lights from the highway when you drive by. They have a shuttle to drive you to the entrance if you park far away. And the shuttle has air conditioning so thank goodness for that. The casino itself has a really good mix of table games and slots. There are cashiers and self pay kiosks everywhere so that's not a problem and it seems as though they do respond to the lights if you turn them on for attendant assistance. Riverwind is a nice way to pass the time. The slots are hit and miss most nights but I usually break even when I leave, which for me is a good thing. My friend always walks out up. I guess I bring her good luck. Lucky hussy! They usually have pretty good live music and "showstoppers", well for a casino, ya know? I've never eaten there so I can't comment. But there's a friggin' Sonic right across the street. So.......BAM...Done! Love me some Sonic! read more

The Friday night buffet is expensive but worth every penny! The Prime Rib was incredible and the crab legs were very tasty! I spend more time at the cheesecake bar than the salad bar, but I can tell you both are pretty good as well. I've had many decent experiences at this casino but this one bad one has COMPLETELY overshadowed those. I went today with my father to celebrate Father's Day. I can recognize that I am a young looking man. However, I have never been asked for my ID before. On my trip today, I left my wallet in the car. After waiting close to an hour for a seat at one of the TWO low stakes Blackjack tables that were open, I finally sat down and was ready to play. The pit boss then came over and asked for my player's club card, and I told her I didn't have it on me. She then said an ID would work and I asked if she could just look up my phone number. She told me she could not use my number and then began speaking to me in a very rude and condescending manner. I told her not to bother with the points and that I'd just play and then she very rudely told me she needed to see some ID. Being IDed at a casino is not a big deal and something I've experienced in many casinos outside of Riverwind. The fact that the one time I have been IDed at Riverwind the pit boss woman was incredibly disrespectful and condescending makes me never want to come back. I didn't bother to come back with my ID. My dad and I left what little chips were at the table still and left. This building is fine, but disrespect is not. If you want to gamble and don't want to do it somewhere dumpy, drive the extra 30 minutes to someplace where they'll respect you. Edit: had the pit boss woman asked in a respectful way for my ID, and then I had realized it was in the car, I would've happily gone to get it. Being IDed is not the issue. This is a nice casino, nice new games, the hotel is pretty nice but they are under construction for now, not telling anyone until you get here, of course. And it looks like this project might go on through the year. They lure you to hotel with free rooms and gambling credit, but the catch is that you have to use the first $25 credit between 11pm and midnight, no one tells you this, it's a scheme. Then the second one isn't available until 2-3 days after I leave...so I'm not using that one either. Then, in the room there is a tempting menu from a restaurant that is not even open downstairs...this place is cilurrentpy just a big disappointment and I don't see anyone winning jackpots.
