This casino robbed my mother, charged her for her meal 3x. She tried to get it corrected the first time and they charged her a third. Then gave her a bogus number or simply decided to not answer her phone number when she further tried to get assistance. She will be escalating this issue to the Oklahoma Attorney General and BBB. The valet and operations staff here are horrible. I've been an elite member here for years and as of recently started using the valet to save time searching for parking and having to part far out. 5/5 times and with 2 different vehicles they had issues that were due to the valet being too rough with something in the vehicle. This last time they broke my key and decided to blame it on wear and tear /age instead of holding their velvet accountable. honestly it wasn't a big deal until they started placing blame vs holding the employee responsible accountable. I've had many decent experiences at this casino but this one bad one has COMPLETELY overshadowed those. I went today with my father to celebrate Father's Day. I can recognize that I am a young looking man. However, I have never been asked for my ID before. On my trip today, I left my wallet in the car. After waiting close to an hour for a seat at one of the TWO low stakes Blackjack tables that were open, I finally sat down and was ready to play. The pit boss then came over and asked for my player's club card, and I told her I didn't have it on me. She then said an ID would work and I asked if she could just look up my phone number. She told me she could not use my number and then began speaking to me in a very rude and condescending manner. I told her not to bother with the points and that I'd just play and then she very rudely told me she needed to see some ID. Being IDed at a casino is not a big deal and something I've experienced in many casinos outside of Riverwind. The fact that the one time I have been IDed at Riverwind the pit boss woman was incredibly disrespectful and condescending makes me never want to come back. I didn't bother to come back with my ID. My dad and I left what little chips were at the table still and left. This building is fine, but disrespect is not. If you want to gamble and don't want to do it somewhere dumpy, drive the extra 30 minutes to someplace where they'll respect you. The Chips and Ale restaurant is the worst. Waited for an hour for a chicken sandwich. 2pm on a Tuesday and no one in the place! When it arrived the French Fries were soaked with grease and burnt. This is a nice casino, nice new games, the hotel is pretty nice but they are under construction for now, not telling anyone until you get here, of course. And it looks like this project might go on through the year. They lure you to hotel with free rooms and gambling credit, but the catch is that you have to use the first $25 credit between 11pm and midnight, no one tells you this, it's a scheme. Then the second one isn't available until 2-3 days after I leave...so I'm not using that one either. Then, in the room there is a tempting menu from a restaurant that is not even open downstairs...this place is cilurrentpy just a big disappointment and I don't see anyone winning jackpots. I have seen many great shows at the showplace theatre there on comped tickets the best place for sound for a concert in the OKC area period. We went to the outdoor coop concerts and they were a good value. now let me talk about the casino. In the few years I've been in Oklahoma I'd never been to Riverwind Casino at all. Partly because it just wasn't convenient from where I live, but mostly because my friends nicknamed it "Neverwin" Casino, lol! I like to play the slots and have had some good success at a couple of other places here before, but decided early one Sunday morning to take the drive out there since my luck seemed to have cooled off a bit at my regular spot.........boy were my friends wrong! I LOVED it! So spacious and CLEAN with so many machines, I didn't know where to begin! And to top it off, I won $2200 that day! That was only a couple of weeks ago, and since then I've won at least that much there. Needless to say, this is definitely my new favorite place, well worth the drive! read more

They lost my car at Valet, then said they had my car but couldn't find the keys. Then they said a driver took the keys home with him. This was all starting at 11pm and after waiting 45 minutes with my 75 year old parents, they bring my car up. Apparently, mgmt felt the only compensation I deserved for their major screw up was 4 buffets for Fri night which is no compensation at all since I live 200 miles away and will not be there on Fri. I left with nothing but disgust. The worst part was that they did not seem to understand how upsetting the whole situation was. My very expensive car is MIA, I had just dropped over a grand in their casino and nobody seems to be that bothered by the situation but me. I'm top tier at both Choctaw and WinStar and guarantee they would not have been so nonchalant. My advice, park your own car and hope you don't inconvenience them by daring to be unhappy when your car disappears on their watch. read more

While visiting family in the area, we decided to doing a little gambling at Riverwind Casino. Upon arrival, the place was very busy. We signed up for their casino card, which gives you $5 in free play after you obtain one point on your account. We played the quarter slots for a while with no luck, but achieved one point. The $5 bonus would not work until we went back to the booth to have them reactivate it. We moved on to the penny slots and played the Quick Hits machines. Those payed off better for me, but not so much for my wife. All in all we had fun, although our money depleted fairly fast. I come here quite often especially if I receive a free play in the mail. The casino is always clean. They have great ventilation where its not terribly smoky inside. They had recently put in a lot of new machines which a few had become my favorite. Ive never stayed in the hotel but I hear its quite nice. The bathrooms are always clean. They have a few eating places in there such as the Chips n Ale and the Willows buffet. Ive been to the Willows buffet several times and its not that bad depending on what time you go I guess. I had maybe 1 experience out of the 2 or 3 that was not so great. Food was not refilled or it tasted like its been there a while but it could have veen toward the end of lunch when I came too. Lots of food choices and great dessert selections. Theres also a Panda Express, Burger King, Taco Bueno and Ricks Cafe. Ricks is probably my fa orite because they have different options such as sandwiches, pizza or even bbq. Never been disappointed there. Panda express is good but when they freshly put out food. Dont care for the other 2 places even out of the casino. Not a big fan. I will definitely come back to Riverwind. Thats a given. read more

Upon reserving and paying for a room online , we finally arrived through extreme weather & road conditions. Then after checking in told your restaurant was open until 11pm. My wife, 9 year old daughter and I arrived at 10:20pm to dine following a very unnerving highway experience, and was told it was closed. Not even take-out available. The only other food options were your food court with fair you can get at any highway gas station. Tried Rick's Cafe but upon paying they couldn't change $100! At a casino?? Then by the time we all wasted and walking back to our room..... room service was closed. Again....at a casino?? Everything from the demeanour of your hotel reception to the restaurant (The Willows) to the atmosphere experienced was less than professional and accommodating to a hotel guest. Plus for someone who was willing to spend some leisure time at your casino. Just one individual that might seem to be insignificant in the realm of the big picture at your casino but a guest who will definitely not be patronizing your establishment again. read more

I like Riverwind because it is the cleanest casino I've ever been to and I really like the bathrooms. The buffet Willow's is decent but I'm not into BBQ and it seems like that's all they serve. I play mostly slots and have won twice. The theater is very cozy, seats are very comfortable and the sound system/ lights rock. I also should add that you get unlimited sodas however you serve yourself. They also have coffee, ice tea, hot tea and a variety of pepsi products. read more

In the interest of full disclosure, I am not a gambler and don't find the atmosphere in most of the many casinos I've visited particularly fulfilling in any way. I generally don't frequent casinos unless a) someone I'm with insists upon going or b) there is a music, comic or other venue I really want to see that may not be accessible elsewhere. Sadly, given that it was a weekday, there was no entertainment. That having been said, after a long, hot drive through Missouri that day enroute to Texas, I was up for going anywhere that was air conditioned and not the car or a motel room. As casino's go -- this one was nice. The music was quite dated and an odd mix of genres - which many people would find just fine. I found it a bit boring. But if I were drinking or gambling, it really wouldn't matter. I doubt that anyone else paid that much attention to the music, except the nice bartender that made the same comment to me. The Holiday Inn where we were staying offered a free shuttle to and from the casino - until around 11pm weeknights. They did have a decent variety of food available, but most of the places seemed to be closing by around 9:30pm, including the buffet. read more

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. Sums up all of my visits to "The Wind." It's an enormous homage to Oklahoma gambling and conveniently is located 10 min from my alma mater. Many of the good times spent were when they used to hand you a $10 bill on Guys Night which has since stopped. Several table games are available, but they are typically very busy and should open up more tables on busy nights. Overall, one of the best Oklahoma casinos available and worth a stop. read more

One of the worst run casino. The place is not particularly attractive and the slots are very tight. The food options are limited. The buffet is not worth paying for and the choices are identical every day except on Friday or Saturday when they charge $40 for crab legs. The poker room is a nightmare. The rake is high at $5+$1. The $1 that they take for bad beat actually doesn't go in the bad beat and 90% goes to pay for their other promotions. Yes the comps are not comps, they are paid for by players pool money. They pretty much hate tournament players and consistently under schedule dealers so that many tournaments players are turned down and have to leave. The tournament fees are also really high, as high as 40% of the original buy-in. But the general attitude in this casino is: "we don't care. If you leave, we'll find more suckers". Overall a pretty bad experience. Just stand outside and look at the people leaving and see how many are smiling and how many are looking at their shoes. read more

Having never visited a casino before, I made SURE to visit Riverwind before my trip was over. Even after the crazy tornado, people still came out the next day to have some fun. You only live once, right? ;) The place was easy to find, once I got the GPS set up right. Even at a distance, coming off the ramp, you could see the big flashing signs. Oh yeah, get excited! We walked in and it was a little confusing, so we just.. waltzed right over to the slots. They boast of having over 2,700 machines of almost every kind imaginable. If you've heard of it, chances are, they've got it. There was a theme fit for every type of person you may be. I stuck to the car themed and the Alice in Wonderland ones. ;) Scored some extra cash, so I decided to quit while I was ahead. The others didn't fare quite as well. One didn't even really play, but instead headed to the all you can eat dinner buffet, which was BBQ priced at $15.99 that day. If you don't want to spend as much money on food, there's always the food court. When I was there, they had: Panda Express, Burger King, Taco Bueno, and Rick's Cafe. From what I could see, the place was packed full of slot machines and not too much else. There were some tables for black jack and poker, but I think that's it. I can't tell you how many times I got ID'd while I was there.. but hey, I guess it's flattering that I look younger than 18 to so many staff members. Yup, this casino is 18+. Just FYI, in case you're a n00b like I was, you can load a card and insert those into the machines, or you can put cash in. After you decide to stop playing, collect your winnings by pressing the button and out comes a "receipt" with a value on it. Nice casino, we stopped here after outrunning some weather on our way back to DFW. Not a big crowd probably due to weather, but thankfully the buffet was open so we could get breakfast. Not a lot of food choices, but they have the basics and will make you eggs, omelets, and waffles, plus the usual fruit, cereal, biscuits, gravy and stuff on the side. Not over the top, but for $10, you can't beat it. Hung around and played the slots for awhile, didn't win, but didn't lose much either. Place looks like it's kept up real well. Carpet looked pretty new, and the whole place looked pretty clean. Plenty of people working to help you out if you need something, and other than the buffet there's a sports bar, and several name brand fast food joints inside. Low service kinda place, but next to the gift shop there is a small area where you serve yourself soft drinks and coffee, seemed like a good idea to me. read more

Oh Riverwind......me likey. ;) So this is the 2nd casino I've ever been to in my 20 sum year old adult life. Nevertheless...it was pretty cool. I mean, come on! It's in Oklahoma! I'm a city-girl! If you can entertain me, well that's pretty damn good. My conservative $60 pot self was looking for easy stuff, like the slot machines. I found a good one I figured out how to play. I don't remember the name of it but it's by a round of ATM's. My row had all ladies and we all were just having a good time tryin to hit the BONUS...LOL. I'm proud to say on that machine, I won $20 from one pick and I was pretty happy! That took about 2 hours to do though so don't get too excited. I left with the same $60 plus $1! Yep, that's right. I came up $1 more than I had. To me, that's not bad! LOL! (I told u this was my 2nd time gamblin'!) Pretty typical crowd, older retirees. Nice older ladies though! One of bigger Casinos in our area. Located just south of Norman. Can't miss it on I-35. I enjoy the bar, bands when they have them on weekends, and though many complain about "smokiness", I don't find this one anywhere near as bad as most casinos.......say for example Newcastle, which is owned by the same tribe. Plenty of slots. My buddy seems to win on those here. I enjoy playing blackjack but since they apparently ALWAYS charge an ante, it's a losing proposition overall. I just don't think people understand how MUCH the ante hurts a normal blackjack player. While they have plenty of tables, with dealer shuffled shoes, they also have continuous shuffling machines. Stay away from those if you can. Given that they can deal so many more hands per hour with those than when dealer takes a break to shuffle, you will lose more money over all. Atmosphere usually lively when I have been there. Relatively easy to get in and out of. Bar is always fun to sit at. Generally I have found service people to be friendly and accommodating............not like the generally gruff folks in Vegas....(maybe I should say jaded?) Plenty of fast food/casual food outlets. High Limit Slot room. And plenty of beverage stations for self service non-alcoholic drinks. One of more modern casinos in area. read more

It's a very nice casino. Everything is clean and set up. Downfall is the fact they have no vents inside to suck up all the smoke so you will walk through nothing but smoke clouds. Another bad thing is to play the card tables it is 50¢ a hand and no matter if your winning your still going to lose since your paying to play. I'm not a big gambler so I'm not at Riverwind often, but I did recently go to a show. The show was great, the theater was eh. It looked like it hadn't been updated since about 1975, and oddly enough it seemed like the theater sloped the opposite way it should have? It seemed like the front row was slightly higher than the back row. Strange, but not the end of the world. We still had fun. My husband brought my in laws for an outing to Riverwind. It is clean and has a good valet parking set up. They charge a 3% surcharge for traveler checks which really incensed the folks as casinos in other places wouldn't dream of charging to take their money, Too bad for them because my in laws like to gamble. (Old people look at this stuff differently). In the Energy bar, they reconfigured the video poker machines into low slung tables. The chairs are too low to play the machines so we ended up at the bar. Once again, you can tell these casino operators don't understand the business.
