My son and I on a great night out
    Diane M.

Food, drinks, service and entertainment were all great, good time all around! Would definitely be back

    The food menu

Monday tonight jazz , the music was good The hotel parking is valet only and they charge $20 a hour then one of the hotel workers said they charge $30 for two hours either way I didn't pay it I parked at the mall and paid $3 and walked over to the hotel which is where the riviera 31 lounge is They charge $100 to seat in the reserve seating or spend $100 minimum ( seats were you can see the band) The side seating where you cant see the band are free and you don't have to order food Also they included 20 percent gratuity which the witness only checked in once , I could have let without paying literally because she forgot all about us. The food is nasty, there is no seasoning. I had the calamari and chicken salad sandwich both were not good, do not buy it . If they believe you don't have money their body language and how they treat you shows The ambiance was nice since it was in December ever thing was beautiful but the hotel definitely was sure to let were know they were Jews which was okay I really didn't mind . I spent $71 on the calamari and chicken salad sandwich including a $15 water It's really not worth it honestly

Small Bottle of Evian is served with no ice or anything in the glass, counted as food & bartender added 20% for himself
    Lidia S.

The service at the bar was terrible. The bartender handed me a small bottle of Evian that was warm, with no ice, and it cost $15. I've had the large bottle there before, so this was surprising. When I politely asked for ice, the bartender got upset and started serving others. When I asked again, he snapped, saying, "I told you to give me 5 minutes!" Eventually, I had to ask a busboy for ice. To top it off, the bartender added a 20% tip for the poor service. Very disappointing experience. If they add their own tips they have absolutely no motive to serve properly. Just handing over a bottle of water without any ice

Inside the Mondrian this is a very sexy Vibe outdoors to the right of the inside bar. The bar and dance area is still closed but the garden is open for food drinks and socializing , not 6 feet distance. Def dress to impress here or be casual cool. Valet is $25 but if you are in heels you will just have to cough it up. Drinks are not strong but tasty AF. Food is eh and easy miss but it's really hard to socialize here without some sexy drink in hand! They make mock tails too but just one on menu. This is not really a bar mind you, so don't go crazy ordering. Def a bit me up spot, great music and vibe. So very LA.

Bar tender who refused to give us his name and was very rude to us.
    Abeja D.

Came here for a fun night with friends. We spent a lot of our time at the bar ordering drinks and as much as I don't mind waiting the attitude from the bar tender was ridiculous. He was extremely rude, rolled his eyes at us many times. We kept walking around the bar to see if someone else could serve us because he was rude to many people not just my group. We were polite and we were tipping him on TOP of the 20% they already slap on there. The music was amazing but they need to check the customer service at the bar. This gentleman obviously hates his job and wouldn't even give us his name. Please find friendlier staff.

The table i had to beg for

I had high hopes for jazz night at the riviera 31. My friend told me it was amazing music, nice mixed group of people.. but he forgot to mention the terrible service which he soon remembered once i shared my experience with him. So if 5 is excellent I'll rate what i felt specifically below. Ambiance : 4, nice place dimly lit enough seating and or standing room Food: 3., it wasn't great but wasn't terrible i have the crispy sweet potato and fennel and a salad. Ordering process/ service if you don't have a table reserved : 1, cocktail waitresses don't even want to answer questions, you are forced to get up From lounge seating to order everything and then they want you to come back to bar in10-15min to pick up your own plate and walk it back to wherever with your flat wear and drink and go eat wherever. I was completely shocked by this. Terrible way to serve people or add to an experience. It actually took away from my experience. Especially when my bill was $105 for 1 drink, 1 sparkling water, salad, and crispy sweet potatoes. Bartenders: 0 terrible service from all staff it's clear they aren't having fun which is sad because it's a nice place Music: 5! Band was great they had a variety of singers and played oldies. When i decided to order food i noticed ppl around me had tables and when there food came out the server actually brought a table.. so I'm like ok that would work. I don't know why but my food never came to me i had to walk to the bar walk back to where i was seated through a crowded bar area. I asked the bartender if he could get me a table he said no when i told him i saw others get a table to put their food on he said "would you like to speak To a manager"? I said yes actually i would! I told the manager i simply asked for a table is that too much I'm dressed nice i ordered food i don't want to hold my plate all the while I'm wondering why i have to plead for a table. Anyway the manger brought one... he wasn't that nice. The service here is trash I'm sorry it kind of deters me from going back.

Glassy place. Pricey drinks and bottle service when you can get it. Loved the set up, great vines &ambiance but there is no dance floor.

So I came here for a event called a silent party. Which means you listen to music through headphones and you have the option to switch through 3 different stations with 3 different DJ's. The DJs were all lit! And it was kind of cool because they were battling to see how many people would party on their station. They played today's Hip Hop and R&B, Oldies but Goodies and Dance music This idea is pretty cool and I really enjoy myself we had so much fun. I was with my fiancé and my sister along with a group of friends! Before entering, you had to give your ID in exchange for the headphones. This was to ensure that you return the headphones. They also gave you a wristband so that you can walk in and out of the venue as you please. Because for a period of time it was really hot. They did have a bar which was located in the back of the venue. There were also lounge chairs and other access areas for you to sit and listen to music. Everything about this event was lit! The problem I have is. I ordered a drink and paid for it with my debit card. The next day I'm checking my Mobile Banking because, that's what I normally do when I go out and run my card at a bar or lounge. I have a charge on my card for $20 at a restaurant in a different city that I don't even go to and never been too! I don't appreciate whichever bartender, thought it was okay to take my debit card information and make purchases the very next day. This has happened to me before at a bar. And this is the very reason why I bring cash but I didn't have time to stop. (Silly Me) Thankfully it was only $20 but imagine the damage they could have done if I didn't check my mobile bank statements. Now I have to wait two business days to receive a new debit card, thanks a lot! #NoShadeToTheEventCoordinator

Came through after a business conference at the hotel and I decided to grab a drink at the bar before heading out for the evening. I was drawn over to this place by the vibrant colored piano and unique artwork, but I really wanted to hear some of the chill bongo music played by live players. ' Had a subpar experience when I settled in. Not very full and the bartenders seemed very content with doing their own thing. I assumed they were on break, but I ended up waiting for a bit to grab a drink while I sat in one of the velvety chairs. Had the "Watercolor". Visually the drink pops and reminds you of 2nd art class but the taste left a lot to be desired and on top of that, it was really weak. I am guessing this isn't how they normally are and hope that if I ever come back, they'll be a different vibe.

The best place to go on a Wednesday night for LIVE Music Salsa dancing and the Dj plays Bachata and other hits. Great dance floor which the recently changed. Great open space, great vibes great food and Drinks. Looking at $15 per drinks. Wednesday there is no cover they also opened up a bar outside in there beautiful outside area where smoking is allowed and there are plenty of chairs and tables to get some fresh air from dancing the whole night. I have never stayed that the hotel but I am always here on a Wednesday night for salsa dancing and mingling. This place is sooooo fancy and love coming here and meeting new people from all over. They also provide classes before I think it's from 9-10 so come check it out if you are in the mood for something to spice of your life baby!!!!! Yea you will Want to come back for amazing energy this place gives you.

We placed our drink order around 9:05 p.m., but our drinks didn't arrive until almost 10:50 p.m., when the show was nearly over. Meanwhile, other guests seated at our table had already received their food and drinks. To make up for the delay, our server kindly brought us complimentary champagne, which was appreciated. I ordered the "Orange You're Beautiful" cocktail, but by the time it arrived, we had to rush to finish our drinks because the show was ending. They were also much stronger than expected. Since the venue has a $20 food and beverage minimum, it felt like a waste because we didn't really get to enjoy what we ordered. Despite the slow drink service, the seating was excellent, the atmosphere was intimate, and Slum Village put on a great performance. I'd definitely come back for another show, but I hope the bar service is much quicker next time.

The food, drinks, and service were great, but the experience was ruined by a cameraman standing directly in front of our section for much of the show, blocking our view of Omarion. For nearly $80 per ticket, this was unacceptable. If seats have obstructed views due to filming, Blue Note should disclose that upfront or have the cameraman move around. We came to watch Omarion, not the cameraman. Unfortunately, this experience makes me hesitant to return.

Still annoying. I got lucky and found a lot with one space left, but $20 for parking definitely deserves a mention because paying for parking is always a little painful. Even getting there an hour early, it was already extremely crowded. I was very glad I brought lawn chairs, a blanket, and snacks because while they do have food trucks, the food options felt pretty limited for the amount of people there. By the time I got settled, I was pretty far from the actual music. I could hear it just fine, but actually seeing the performers was another story. The vibe Now that part was absolutely worth it. Being outside on a summer night, listening to great music, surrounded by families, couples, friends, and beautifully dressed people just enjoying themselves... it really was such a vibe. Some people had full picnic setups with blankets, tables, food, wine, charcuterie, the whole thing. It was so cute seeing couples posted up, having their little summer night. And me? I was perfectly happy people-watching because I love an art crowd anyway, and adding jazz culture to it just made it even better. The style, the energy, the atmosphere... just a really lovely way to spend a night. Final thoughts If you go, come prepared. Bring chairs, bring snacks, and definitely expect a crowd. It may not be the best setup if your goal is actually seeing the performers up close, but if you're there for the music, the people, and the overall experience, it's absolutely worth it. From the moment of arrival, the atmosphere establishes itself as both sophisticated and intimate. The room is thoughtfully designed, with warm lighting, tasteful décor, and acoustics that elevate the live music experience without overwhelming conversation. The venue strikes a careful balance--energetic yet controlled--making it equally suitable for a night of entertainment or a focused dining experience. A particularly memorable highlight of the evening was a visit to our table from Eden Alpert, daughter of Herb Alpert. She was gracious, engaging, and genuinely attentive, adding a personal touch that reinforced the establishment's commitment to hospitality at every level. The culinary program reflects intention and care. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, with clear attention to detail in both presentation and flavor. Execution in the kitchen is confident, and the overall quality of the food aligns well with the venue's upscale positioning. The wine list is well-curated and sufficient in scope, offering a range of options to complement the menu. However, pricing is notably elevated, with markups that may give even seasoned diners pause. A corkage fee of $50 per bottle is in line with the venue's premium positioning, though it further reinforces the importance of thoughtful wine selection for those mindful of value. Service throughout the evening was attentive and polished, contributing to a seamless flow from seating to service to performance. Staff demonstrated both professionalism and warmth, enhancing the overall guest experience. The live music remains the centerpiece--and rightly so. Performances are exceptional, supported by excellent acoustics that allow every note to resonate clearly throughout the space. It is this combination of sound quality, ambiance, and intimacy that continues to define the venue's reputation. In summary, Vibrato Grill Jazz delivers a compelling and well-rounded experience: elevated cuisine, engaging service, and outstanding live jazz in an elegant setting. While the wine pricing may lean toward the premium end, the overall experience justifies its standing as a destination for both dining and music enthusiasts alike.

Every seat is literally 15 feet from the stage. If you're going, you better love the band and their music, because you will be right in the middle of it. Second, there's every type of baked potato imaginable- except "baked potato ropa vieja" - suggested by Luis Conte himself! Third, yes you need to stand in line before going in - worth it if you love the band that's playing. Sr Conte and his boys knocked it out. There were several guest musicians, and - surprise, surprise! - Andy Garcia himself joining in; he and Sr Conte are pals. If you haven't heard this group play, you must! And if it's at the Baked Potato, all the better. Will be back soon...

They pack in a lot of people though so it can feel a little cramped. We enjoyed both of our potatoes (Philly cheesesteak and chicken fajita, which was the special that night). They were giant and we would probably just split one next time. Service was good. I wasn't expecting how cold it would be inside! Next time I'd wear long pants and bring a sweater.

We saw Micro Mania Midget Wrestling here last night and it was an absolute blast. They set up the…read morering in the corner of the first floor, and you could watch from either level. The first floor had booths lining the walls, and the second floor had reservable tables with a great view. The show was scheduled to start at 8:30pm but didn't kick off until around 9, which honestly didn't matter once it got going. The commentator was hysterical, completely unhinged in the best way and added so much to the experience. The matches were nonstop entertaining, and the backstories were wild. One story about the troupe hearing about a midget living in a homeless shelter and going to pick him up to join the crew really stood out. It felt chaotic, heartfelt, and oddly wholesome all at once. The merch was just as funny as the show. We grabbed a signed poster from 25 Cent, which felt like a must. We were especially happy to finally catch them. We barely missed their Vegas show last year....our plane landed, we dumped our bags at the hotel, sprinted to the strip club, and arrived literally as the last bout ended. So this felt like redemption, and Whisky a Go Go was a perfect place to finally see it. Great experience all around. Would absolutely do it again. Get there early for good viewing spots, or just reserve a table and save yourself the stress.

I have been to the Whisky a Go Go several times, and I have seen many different bands play there…read moreover the years. The venue is packed with incredible music history, having opened back in 1964 and hosted early shows for legendary acts like The Doors and Mötley Crüe. Inside, the space is dark, loud, and covered in old band stickers, giving it a raw, gritty rock and roll vibe. It holds a really special place for me because even my best friend has actually performed on that famous stage. Standing in that cramped, intimate room watching a live set is an incredible way to experience an authentic piece of Hollywood history.

Such a fun place to get tiki drinks!! You have to let your eyes adjust because it's quite dim inside, but adorned with lots of colorful lighting. It's usually reservation only but I called ahead to see if they had availability for us to pop in and luckily they had room for us. Everyone here is so friendly and seems to love what they do. Our bartender was Shane and he was wonderful and really made our experience memorable. Zeke was the other bartender who was great as well. We ordered a Painkiller and a Captain's Inner Circle. Each drink comes in its own unique cup/glass and has such a fun presentation. The painkiller was presented to us with some fire elements and the captain's inner circle was hilarious - they ring a bell and all the workers join in on saying you're a part of the inner circle. Now the taste. Both of the drinks were delicious! We love a painkiller and this one definitely didn't disappoint, it totally hit the spot. I also loved the inner circle drink, it was coconutty and had fruity elements like apricot in it. There are so many drinks on their menu, we wish we could try them all! We'll have to come back next time to try more. They also have food but we didn't have time to try any dishes this time.

Please stop it with the gimmicky flare, smoke and song and focus on making better tasting drinks. I ordered a Painkiller and it was stuffed with charred cinnamon sticks and a lime on fire that made my drink taste awful. They staff were nice enough to comp my drink, but to be honest the drinks are never good or balanced. There are much better tiki bars in LA, and I recommend you go elsewhere for a really good cocktail.
