Came here a few months ago for a friend-of-a-friend's event. Enter The Standard and you'll be directed through the kitchen into a secret room which is Mmhmmm. It's dark and ambient, has a stage in the center where different bands come and play, a full bar in the back, and several couches on the side for you to sit on and enjoy your drinks. We had bottle service instead of drinks from the bar... both of which were covered! I don't think I'd ever come here again unless there was an event as there's far too many places nearby that offer everything Mmhmmm does plus a better crowd.

Nice little dj set up

Horrible place- staff is rude. For what you pay, go somewhere where you are respected instead of being looked down upon.

A good place to 'part 2' a night of partying. The lobby bar has a relaxed/ cool vibe.

You have to let your eyes adjust because it's quite dim inside, but adorned with lots of colorful lighting. It's usually reservation only but I called ahead to see if they had availability for us to pop in and luckily they had room for us. Everyone here is so friendly and seems to love what they do. Our bartender was Shane and he was wonderful and really made our experience memorable. Zeke was the other bartender who was great as well. We ordered a Painkiller and a Captain's Inner Circle. Each drink comes in its own unique cup/glass and has such a fun presentation. The painkiller was presented to us with some fire elements and the captain's inner circle was hilarious - they ring a bell and all the workers join in on saying you're a part of the inner circle. Now the taste. Both of the drinks were delicious! We love a painkiller and this one definitely didn't disappoint, it totally hit the spot. I also loved the inner circle drink, it was coconutty and had fruity elements like apricot in it. There are so many drinks on their menu, we wish we could try them all! We'll have to come back next time to try more. They also have food but we didn't have time to try any dishes this time.

Please stop it with the gimmicky flare, smoke and song and focus on making better tasting drinks. I ordered a Painkiller and it was stuffed with charred cinnamon sticks and a lime on fire that made my drink taste awful. They staff were nice enough to comp my drink, but to be honest the drinks are never good or balanced. There are much better tiki bars in LA, and I recommend you go elsewhere for a really good cocktail.

Since I never watch that kind of 'stuff', that connection meant nothing to me. However, now that it's been sold to the purveyors of a successful Venice bar lounge, Roosterfish moved up quickly on our gaydar for a visit during PRIDE weekend. It was upbeat and loud but surprisingly not off-putting. That has a lot to do with the century-old Mediterranean olive trees in the massive open-air courtyard in the middle. Even wrapped in colorful fairy lights, the trees breathe life into the space even with a huge disco ball hanging from the canopy. The dance floor was fairly crowded and pulsating like crazy, but the surrounding tables weren't as coveted. There were plenty of bartenders during PRIDE, so there was no wait for drink orders. The Tequila Sunrises were on the high side at $20 given the plastic cups (Photo), but they gave us the requisite kick. There are rumors that Jamie and I may have been on the dance floor when the DJ was playing Erasure. I will neither confirm nor deny it. Let's say it was a good thing that the new Madonna wasn't out yet. The rooftop atmosphere is the highlight, it has that perfect indoor/outdoor vibe, It's definitely a hotspot, especially in the evenings when hotel guests and locals come in to grab drinks, relax, and enjoy the lounge atmosphere. The entire hotel has a great social feel, from the lively lobby area with the open bar and pool table downstairs to the rooftop where everyone gathers. The views were amazing too! The food was really good, the drinks were great, and the service was outstanding. We ordered the hamachi, carne asada tacos, fries, and a barbacoa quesadilla. Everything was delish! Our server was genuinely so friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. There is only valet available and it gets pretty packed at night. This is definitely a hot spot for a meet up with friends. Highly recommend for the overall vibes.

The host, Adam, was so welcoming and helpful throughout the evening, checking to make sure we were enjoying our food and drinks, even moving us to a different table since our original one was in a wind tunnel blowing up our dresses. I got two cocktails: 1) the special True Colors cocktail in celebration of Pride Month, with proceeds going to the LGBT Center! It had Tequila, Yuzu, Lychee, Passionfruit, topped with a Hibiscus Mezcal Float and a piece of Rainbow Sour Candy. It was refreshing, delicious, and absolutely gorgeous! 2) the Cosmopolitan: made with Grey Goose Vodka, Pierre Ferrand Dry Curaçao, and cranberry. It was pretty tasty, not exactly like a traditional Cosmo and had a bit of a bite to it, but good enough that I got two. My friend and I shared the guacamole which was a pretty decently sized portion and came with a big basket of chips. We also got the Weho Choco Tacos and they were delectable! It's a bit pricey with drinks ranging from $22-$26, but that's to be expected in Weho and especially on Sunset Boulevard. Just something to keep in mind. The crowd was also so nice! We made friends with the couple sitting next to us and watched the end of the NBA finals together on one of their phones. I also met some nice girls in the bathroom and we had a long conversation about the best clothes to pack for a trip to Europe. Everyone was there to have a good time and it showed!

We stopped by on a Monday around 8pm and it was surprisingly quiet at first, but before long people started walking in for Trivia Night and the atmosphere became much livelier. OR Bar has a really stylish, welcoming vibe. The black and gold decor, artwork, and chandeliers give it an upscale feel. I also like that it's more than just a nighttime spot. During the day, people come in to work, enjoy coffee, and just hang out, which gives it a nice neighborhood vibe. I ordered an Angry Orchard Cider and my friend ordered one of their Espress-OR Martinis. It looked great but it was strong! If you are an espresso martini fan who likes this style of drink, you will probably enjoy it. There are metered spaces behind the bar and there is also residential street parking nearby if you pay attention to the posted signs. Overall, this was a fun find and I can definitely see why it has become a neighborhood favorite. I would come back to try more of the cocktails and experience another Trivia Night.
