I rented a Party Barge for my fiancee's 30th birthday on 6/28/14. Here are my genuine and honest thoughts: Lance Looper was our Captain and he is a true asset to the company. He is a class act - he grilled all of our hot dogs and hamburgers, welcomed and was polite to my party and most importantly.. he made my fiancee Caitlin feel very special on her big day. He was very organized and kept my party on track by keeping them informed every step of the way. The boat was extremely clean upon arrival. We had chairs on both stories which allowed everyone to feel very comfortable. They gave us floaties so we could hang out in the lake for a few hours. Their sound system was functioning very well and the quality of my music came out superb. Presentation and experience was exceptional. I will continue to use Riviera Marina for ALL of my outing on the lake. I feel VERY comfortable in recommending them to any of my family, friends and clients because I know that Riviera Marina will take care of them. If you can.. ask for LANCE!! He is THE MAN!!! Riviera has been great for our family! The convenience makes using our boat possible. We can call ahead and our boat is fueled and waiting on us. All of the dock hands are very helpful and eager to serve! Occasionally you get a few minor bumps and bruises on your rig here or there, but let's be reasonable if you had to trailer it back and forth to storage everyday those things would happen also! It's part of owning a boat. I would recommend this service to anyone. They do go out of their way to take care of your property! read more

In response to the posting after my review. No one on the boat was intoxicated. In fact 2 were pregnant. I'm pretty sure 1 of the 6 officers would of picked up on it and surely would not of let any of the 6 cars drive off. I find it insulting that you even suggest we were intoxicated. read more

Back in early June I booked the 2 large barges for a company outing, I corresponded with Lance who was very helpful then through email and on the actual outing. The staff is very nice and gave us a ride to and from the parking area and helped us load our stuff on the boats. Everyone enjoyed the awesome lake spot they took us to along with the speakers the boar had to jam out with. The captains, Lance and another man were super nice and great to all of us. We had drinks and food and the staff even grilled our burgers and hot dogs for us, we will be using them again. I'm seeing a trend on the jet ski reviews that are in the "not recommended" reviews section... I would have given this business 5/5 stars... However, I found most of the staff (not all) to be unprofessional when it came to returning our hour and a half jet ski rental. We booked from 3 - 4:30 PM and were told our time slot would begin when we got on the jet skis. The moment we got on them, I checked my watch and it said 3:15, therefore, we were due back at 4:45. We unfortunately on our part didn't return to the dock until 5 so we owed them an extra 15 minutes for the jet skis which we were willing to pay for. However, we had 3 staff members tell us we were a half hour late (excessive?), and we needed to go to the office to talk with the manager. The moment just felt extremely uncomfortable. One man in a truck started ranting to us about how someone else had booked the jet skis at 4:30 and now they were no where to be found. Honestly, I would never have promised another customer a time so close like that. At the office we explained the time situation to the office girl. She said the dock guy we did the paperwork with told her he got us on the water by 3:10. So.....3:15.....3:10......SAME THING... you just admitted we didn't start at 3. We agreed at that point that we owed them for 15 minutes, we payed, said thanks and left. It was just a very uncomfortable end to what overall was a great experience minutes before. This marina has excellent workers. They bend over backwards to fulfill your needs. They have an awesome staff with such positive energy all the time. The girls at the front desk are so polite and kind and really made this experience fantastic. I have never been so pleased with their service and I will forever come here to have a great time!! Just booked our third annual company outing with Riviera Marina. This place is great. Always kind, friendly and extremely helpful service. Party barges are great for the amount of people we have attending. They do all the cooking and make us feel welcome. Terrible experience renting a pontoon boat. Went to a cove and the anchor was so bad we couldn't keep our boat in one spot without drifting into other boats/people. Spent 3 hours trying to anchor our boat with no luck. When we got back to the dock and spoke with management (Lance) he said he knew that the anchors were bad but they weren't willing to buy the nicer anchors and said that we should have tied up to another boat to stay in place. We rented a boat for a birthday but ended up having zero minutes of relaxation. Highly recommend using another dock/service. read more

This is the 3rd time we rented a boat from them to show some visitors a bit of Lake Travis. They were friendly and fast. The only thing I have to say is that the rental boats could use a little more attention. The handles on the bough were not actually attached at the top, a safety issue if you hit rough water. Otherwise, all good and good prices. There's a discount if you go during the week. We will use them again. read more

My girlfriend and I dry dock our boat at Riviera. We have had our boat for about a year and the people and the service are just amazing. We use them a lot, not only to have them place our boat on a work rack, but just anytime we want to go boating. Very responsive and always very helpful. For boat rentals you get old boats. Also the kid staff over at the front desk are arrogant.

Lance and team have been nothing less than spectacular with regards to making the last 3 boating years amazing. The crew always makes sure they go out of their way to make our boating experience outstanding. If you need your boat shipped then look no more. Steve Allen (owner) personally shipped my Super Air Nautique from Maryland to Austin late last month. I could not have asked for a better outcome. Do not book with these scoundrels. Booked a boat months in advance and paid deposit. Had guests coming from many different cities. Arrived at the marina and they had no record of the reservation. No help or compensation provided. 70 people out of luck. read more

We had our company boat party here 2 weeks ago and it was great. Our party barge staff were super helpful, fun and treated everyone so well. I had purchased extra ice at the marina store and they gave me a ride to the boat to help PLUS grilled all the food for 50 people! We will definitely be booking with Riviera again next year. Rented a pontoon boat for a couple of hours. Deck hands were courteous and professional and boat was clean and functional. Walk from parking lot to dock can be a bit long (about 10 min) especially if you've got little ones or are carrying stuff from your car to the boat. read more

We rented a party barge on 4/18/14 and we had a GREAT time! Justin was great! He was very informative, let us go where we wanted to go and he helped us to be able to have fun. He even cooked our hot dogs for us. I called in to make the reservation and the girls in the office were so friendly and helpful as well. I would highly recommend this marina. read more

so I called to set up a reservation today for 3 of my friends and I to go out and rent some jet skis. everything was great until 30 minutes out on the lake one of our jet skis ran out of gas ... THANK GOD we brought our cell phones as we were able to call them to let them know, they were very unhelpful and unprofessional.. and did I mention ( they told us before we went out, that both jet skis had full tanks), the jet ski was completely out of gas wouldn't even idle and wouldn't stop beeping. finally after 20 minutes the manager came to fill up the tank, instead of apologizing and trying to accomidate the situation, he argued with us saying there was plenty of gas when It took him 5 minutes to fill it back up... instead of offering us extra time for the time wasted on their mistake, we were told to head back because time was up and the jet ski was already reserved for the next hour, as we arrived and got off the jet ski, manager then offered the same jet ski to a party for free that had been trying to resolve their own issues... when we requested the number for the owner we were turned down and told we can wait there for him ( which he wasn't going to be in till 8 am the next morning ).... all together very bad experience, horrible customer service and wouldn't recommend this place at all.... read more
