I have been going to Riviera Spa for a few months now and would recommend to anyone looking for a good massage. I have not done any other services at this spa but I'm sure they are all great. Jazmin is my girl ... she is so wonderful and I leave feeling great every time! I have done 50, 80, and 120 minute massages with her. A few times I have had painful spots and she was able to apply firm pressure to relieve them. Other times I have just wanted medium pressure to relax and pamper myself. In my opinion, she can do it all and is great on delivering an experience based on what you/your body need that day. Covid note (for those that are concerned): They treat your health and safety very seriously to create a safe space for all their guests. Upon arrival you will call then staff will let you into the lobby, take your temp, and have you sanitize your hands. Once your are checked-in they have beverages (if you want) and a relaxation room that is large for proper social distancing while waiting for your service to start. They ask that you wear your mask at all times (you can take off during your service) and they have implemented a one-way system in their hallways to ensure social distancing when coming and going to the treatment rooms. read more

We arrived on a Sunday afternoon for a couples massage. It was my boyfriend's birthday and we both needed relaxation. The entrance was clean and the front desk girls were nice and remembered to say happy birthday. We were offered champagne then moved to a different room with a "fire place." It was dark and relaxing. I was offered a hot neck pillow that I enjoyed. The room was kind of cluttered with different furniture and a massage chair. My boyfriend chose a deep tissue massage with Khong. He said she was knowledgeable and had firm pressure. Maybe too much. He said he'd dial it back next time but would definitely go back to her. I had Toby and asked for medium pressure. Next time I'll ask for more pressure. Toby did a really good job and I felt 100x better afterwords. He knew what he was doing for sure. We enjoyed our massages and would go back! read more

This place is amazing. It's very relaxing overall and the staff is so sweet. I got an 80 minute massage with Marco & I had just recently found out I had plantar fasciitis. Marco made me feel heard and valid in the pain I was going through and worked my foot which gave me so much relief. Olivia at the front desk answering phones is the most obnoxious spa employee I have ever spoken with and I have been to high end luxury spas around the world. I visited this AMAZING spa last weekend and I am so glad I did! let me just start with the front desk staff... They are so sweet and attentive. As soon as I walked in, I was welcomed with smiles, offered a robe, and a complimentary mimosa bar! Alyssa, who was so helpful with all of my questions, showed me around the spa, and let me know that Kate, my massage tech, would be right with me. Kate was so knowledgeable and knows exactly what she is doing! Working manual labor, my back, shoulders, and arms are always sore but after my massage with Kate, I feel like a new person! Just had my massage done by Lisa. Good experience. Caught a 50 minute monthly special. Lisa pinpointed a lot of my sore spots from trying aerial silk this weekend. It's a fine spa. Front desk ladies were pretty darn nice. Nothing spectacular as I was expecting from reading other appreciative Yelpers. Pretty much get the same options you would get at most spas. That doesn't take away from the spa being nice in general. And me typing this from my car feeling smoother. -Overall- It's a nice, clean establishment. -Parking situation Free Parking! If you know this area it can get pretty hairy in the evenings or weekends. Park in the Travis parking garage right on the side of the spa. Boyfriend booked a couples massage for Valentine's Day . We arrived 10-15 minutes before our appointment. Waiting room smelled lovely. They called us back 5-10 minutes after our scheduled time. Therapist spent several minutes trying to upsell us on what we scheduled (not out of the ordinary.) Our 50 massage was about 35-40 minutes. Very rushed getting dressed afterwards which I assume is because they sardine the appointments. My massage left much to be desired. I've had better massages at a strip mall after getting a manicure. Therapist seemed to intentionally avoid knots which to me is the whole purpose of a massage. I feel like I didn't even get a massage. Therapists were nice and the room was clean, but it costs too much for what I received. Very disappointed and would not recommend. read more

For those who like for people to get straight to the point, this place is nothing short of amazing & you won't regret a single dollar you spend here. I never felt the need to write a review, but I had such a great experience here I knew I had to share. I went to the Riviera spa as a birthday treat to myself and it was truly the highlight to my entire day. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted and treated so well. I let them know it was my first time there and they gave me the whole run down and showed me to the relaxation room which was heavenly! I only wish I hadn't packed my schedule so I could have relaxed a little while longer. I woke up that morning not in the best mood because I had been giving a friendly gift from Mother Nature, I'll let you figure the rest out. I let my masseuse Kate know and let me tell you how she is the BEST. Seriously. If you do go, I'd recommend her 10/10 because she really makes you feel welcomed and kindly addresses any problem areas she may have found. She gave me a heating pack and made sure massage out any problem areas. You can tell she truly cares about each of her clients and has a great personality to boot! I could seriously go on and on, but I had 80 minutes of paradise and loved every second of it. There are mimosas and water provided, an atmosphere of pure serenity, and warm and welcoming employees. I only wish I had more money so I could go there all the time! LOL! This spa is WONDERFUL!! I went 4 times over the course of 8 weeks (Nov.\Dec. 2019) and Kerry was super awesome!! I probably talked her to Death - I think I was nervous. Lainey was so sweet and knowledgeable about skin care; she had some great recommendations for me, too. I had such a lovely experience I ended up subscribing to the monthly membership. So l decided to gift myself a little treat after dealing with high school children for months on end, and I bought myself the poinsettia pedicure. Believe me, I was excited! I have ignored my feet for months, and I torture them every day with high heels at work. I walked into the spa feeling hopeful. After filling out some paperwork, I sat in my fancy massage chair and started to relax. I was brought a Poinsettia (champagne and cranberry juice)(and I got a refill later). Trisha proceeded to work on my cuticles and pamper my toes. My pedicure included a leg scrub, a heated moisturizing treatment, an amazing leg massage, and a polish job. Honestly, this is the best Monday I've had in a long time. After reading the other reviews, I'm curious about the owner's massage. I would say this place was worth the try, but unfortunately not worth the money. One of the front desk representatives said that "the pod is not for everyone". I resonated with this sentiment in that it was overall just really boring and I was ready to get out, in fact I got out early and started walking to the front . I'll start with the positives; when I first got into the building I was offered him wine and the opportunity to wash my hands and to sit in a dimly lit relaxation area. After about 15 minutes I was taken to my individual pod. After I was taken to my pod, I was given the instructions to take a shower and cover all wounds with petroleum jelly so the salt water would not burn, if any. When I opened the pod door, I was a little turned off due to the rust on the inside around the perimeter of the pod. I don't know if this had to do with my experience but just something I observed. Overall this is a great opportunity to mindfully think. For me personally, it was just a little boring. But for overall service I will be back. I thought the front desk was pretty cool and the overall cleanliness was up to par. read more

The staff were really nice and attentive. I received the signature massage and while my therapist was extremely nice some of her techniques were subpar. I was a little disappointed that there was an automatic 20% gratuity added to each service as I probably wouldn't have left a $26 tip. Additionally, there was a couple talking right door to my massage room so it made it kind of difficult to fully relax. The waiting area was heated by a small space heater but other areas in the spa were quite chilly. I also did the float tank service and getting in and out the tank to shower was a super cold process. It's difficult to find a good masseuse who can provide a relaxing massage while applying enough pressure and the right technique to get out those knots. I've definitely found her! I've also had my nails done here. I highly recommend Michelle. I was watching her do my nails and noticed she would not allow the polish to touch my cuticles. I was there recently for a Yelp event and was treated to a much needed massage and some winter-themed nail art (snowflakes + rhinestones = gorgeousness!). Definitely not your typical strip mall nail shop! Aside from the wonderful spa services available (facials, massage, mani/pedi, etc) the location is beautiful with plenty of parking in the Travis Walk garage. My only complaint is that one of my rhinestones fell off the next day :-( . Had I paid $40-$50 dollars for my mani, I would have been pretty upset! read more

My boyfriend and I last minute decided to get massages and we were able to get in day of! The front desk gal was witty and nice to talk to while booking the appointment. We had a quick lunch and headed over to Riviera. It was annoying we still had to wear masks upon entering and waiting, but what can you do. We were offered a mimosa and enjoyed that until Toby and Elizabeth greeted us in the waiting area. Float tank doesn't work anymore- my heels touch the ground when floating. I told the front desk about this 2 months ago and they still haven't fixed the issue. Lady (blonde woman named Kora I think) at the front desk was very combative when I brought the issue up and told me to just wear floaties around my knees so my heels don't hit the ground. I've been floating for over 8 years now and have never had to wear anything to keep my body afloat inside of a float tank. I signed up for an 80-minute prenatal massage and stressed that I wanted a prenatal masseuse. When I initially called, I had spoken with a man who did say there were therapists that were prenatal masseuse's, when I called back to confirm an appointment time and date the lady said that the therapist Carolyn would be the one. I assumed since I reiterated that I wanted a prenatal masseuse that Carolyn was a prenatal masseuse. I was looking forward to this massage for days, as my good friend who had referred me said she had had an incredible experience. When I got there, I wasn't given a robe, a locker, or offered anywhere to change out of my clothing. Didn't bother me at the time. Next, I was taken to the room and saw a pillow which allowed me to lay flat on my stomach, since I am 36 weeks I asked if it was safe, and Carolyn had advised that some women do like to lay on their back. I was looking for more of an expert opinion - and tried to lay on my stomach, only to decide to move to the side after 10 minutes of laying face down. I was given a few pillows to make things comfortable and was given the fixture where people would normally put their face in while laying down, as a pillow for my head. I asked for another pillow and Carolyn was nice enough to grab me one. Throughout the massage, I felt the pressure was a bit much and spoke up a few times. I also was concerned about how I was being massaged, as the research I've done is that prenatal massages are meant to relax, vs. the deep tissue treatment I was getting. I grew upset during the massage, particularly when there was extra pressure applied to my pelvis area which I had mentioned was already in pain due to pregnancy. Carolyn asked if she could stretch my pelvis, I said okay, but immediately did not like the stretching as it was not relaxing, it was pressure-based. I explained it hurt, and then she moved to the other side, 1-2 stretches in on the other leg, and I had to explain that it was painful. She had mentioned something about pelvis pain during pregnancy to explain the potential cause, however I know it's due to the hormone relaxin. I also had asked her how long she was doing prenatal massages for, she had explained she has been massaging for 10 years. However, I was not given a clear prenatal experience answer. I think overall, the entire experience failed me. I do not believe Carolyn is a bad masseuse, however this was not a good match because I do not think she is a prenatal therapist, as I was promised to have while initially inquiring about the services. I left the experience and when I got into the car, I immediately started crying to my husband, explaining how I felt - in pain from the pressure, absolutely not relaxed, and overall disappointed. UPDATE: I had received an email from the owner trying to make things right, and we were in the process of scheduling a massage however I never heard back. I am not writing this review out of anger, but I think it's important to share my experience in hopes that it will improve the experience of others. read more
