Very rude when arrived left car sitting up there all day four hours to be exact just to call myself instead of receiving a call like I was told I would when I could've picked up my car hours ago and gotten my tire fixed elsewhere. My son took his car in today. Was greated by a rude gentlemen. Didn't take time to listen to what he was telling him. Was told that we would receive a call once they figured the problem out. We waited 4 hours and didn't hear anything. We called to check on it and was told wires were showing and that there's nothing he could do today. Once again dealing with rudeness. Had they called as we were told, we could have taken the car elsewhere to get a new tire. This is not the first time I have had a bad experience. I'll start with the positives. When I arrived I was immediately addressed and pulled into the shop. It was most likely because their was no other business in the parking lot or shop. I pulled my truck in and the guys immediately went to work. Now for the negatives. They jacked my truck up and proceeded to remove the wheels. Coming from this line of work I understand that sometimes the center of the wheel is a little stuck to the axle hub. Instead of getting a soft blow hammer, shaking by hand or giving a slight kick. The technician took the impact and slammed the body of it into the tire very close to my wheel. Then when they mounted the tires back on the truck they failed to rotate them properly in any of the well known patterns. Then when the technician was adding air to each tire I verified with him that it was 30 psi which is in accordance with the door sticker for the oem tire size and wheel. I could tell he thought he was smarter than the customer by his body mannerisms and was aggravated he had to go let air out of the tires he had already improperly filled. When it came time to lower the truck he let the jack down as fast as it would possibly go with one tire still off the ground. I understand that in this buisness time is money but money should never overide safety and care of a customers vehicle and im sure part of it was his aggravation. I also questioned why they didn't put the center caps in back. He stated they still had to torque wheels. The center caps were removed from the back side of the wheels after the tires were removed. So common knowledge when reassembling something tells you that you generally follow the reverse order and they should have been installed from the inside of the wheel going out. We'll they didn't and I see one of the technicians struggling to get one back in. I got home and immediately removed it and he had broke off two of the retaining clips. Now onto torturing the wheels. For people who may not know the proper way to use a torque wrench and gradually apply pressure in the center of the handle until you hear the audible click. He did not do that he was just slamming the handle as fast as he could because I'm sure he was aggravated at this point or he was just never trained on how to use a torque wrench properly. Also I am sure that my lug nuts are way over torqued. The torque is supposed to be 85ft pounds. I'm sure that impact they ran them down with was more than that and theirs no telling what he had the torque wrench set to due to the fact he didn't know what the air pressure should be. I always try to give business to the little man but honestly I receive 100 times better tire service from Walmart technicians. I hope this shop can manage to do better. People who don't come from this line of work or a professional shop might think these methods are normal. Their not. read more

Riviere Tire does not cover tire warranty. We bought tires last year, 50,000 miles one. It was within the 50,000 miles and we had a bubble in one of them. They refused to replace the tire under warranty. I spoke to another mechanic that works in Gainesville and he said it should be covered 100%. read more

A tire on my truck had somehow got a 1/4 bolt jammed through the tread. I had pulled it out and attempted to use a plug to repair it myself. It still leaked. The tire had about 70% tread still on it. I took the tire to Rivière and dropped it off thinking the tire was ruined. They informed me that if it was repairable, they would repair it. I went back a short time later and much to my surprise, the tire was repaired and ready to go. I took it home and reinstalled it on my truck. I noticed they had even "indexed" the tire to the rim. It's nice to see a shop that's honest, friendly and prompt. They will have more business from me. I highly recommend. read more
