Beware of overpricing and unexpected fees. I brought my VW Tiguan to Vincent's Garage to check a check engine light. I clearly explained my intention upfront and was told to leave the car so they could plug it into their diagnostic system. When they called back, they quoted me $750 for a battery replacement. For context, the official Volkswagen dealership quoted $500 for the exact same job. When I went to pick up my car without getting the work done, I was shocked to be handed a $165.39 bill just for reading the code. This included a credit card fee and a "shop supplies" charge--which I was later told on the phone was for "grease that goes on the wires for a check engine diagnostic test." When I called to question the unexpected charge, I was told there would have been no fee if I had said something before leaving the car--even though I had clearly communicated my intent before handing over the keys. I requested a refund for what felt like an unfair charge and was denied. Poor communication on fees, absurdly marked-up service quotes, and questionable charges. I will not be returning and recommend shopping around before leaving your car here. read more

Had to pay 230 just to move the car from snow, not even take it from one location to another. cops called them, I told them I didn't have money at the moment and they said they'd impound my car???? This review is for Vincent's - a great tow company located in Mamaroneck NY - it's well deserved & overdue. Right before the pandemic shut down, Vincent Garage & Towing came to my rescue at 3am. My car unexpectedly stalled on a highway exit ramp. I contacted the car dealership's service & they referred me to Vincent's towing. I was skeptical since I've had some unpleasant towing experiences in the past but not this time. Vincent's was amazing. I was veryimpressed by the high level of professionalism. The driver contacted me, provided an ETA & reassured me they would be there soon. I waited & the driver arrived on time with a nice flatbed tow truck & a big smile! Very pleasant towing experience- if there is such a thing ! I tipped the driver & it was so worth it. The car was delivered to the repair shop as promised. They provided a receipt to submit to the dealer & the entire tow was covered. It's great when things go so seamlessly. The driver even let me take a few photos of the truck - the dashboard was lit up like a holiday display! One cool truck ! read more

Get your car serviced here if you hate money! This place used to be well regarded. It is now under new ownership that will take every opportunity to take advantage of you. My wife's late model low mileage car broke down and was towed by Vincent's. Per the garage it needed a new battery. They charged me $800 for new battery, installation and "going through the codes". Absolute nonsense. This does not include the cost of the tow($165!). Unfortunately this did not solve the problem. The vehicle broke down again 2 weeks later and it needed a new starter motor. Another $800, $420 for the part plus labor (+another $165 for the tow). OEM Part is readily available for less than $200 when you search online. Problem was originally mis-diagnosed by the garage. This is for a 2019 Chevy. Not a foreign car with expensive parts. Shame on me for letting them take advantage of me 2x, but with the car not being able to start I was stuck working with them or tow to another service center. Vincent's was reasonable in the past, but this time I was told we cannot work with you due to new owners. So I'm out $2k for a repair which should have probably been around $5-600. I hope their greed comes back to haunt them and if you read this review you avoid them at all costs!!! NO LONGER TRUSTWORTHY!!! It's such a shame when good businesses take advantage of local customers and ruin their rep for a quick buck. Sadly this is what Vincent's does now. PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! read more

If anyone doubts Christmas doesn't exist then I'll say it right to your face you're crazy. I was traveling on Christmas Day on RT 287 West in Ryebrook when my car hit something in the road. It blew out two of my tires and we were half way to my destination. I had my whole family in the car. We didn't have an accident and I safely was able to pull off on Webb Drive into a business park. Several people actually stopped to offer assistance and one of them was Anthony. As he's trying to find the right socket to remove our tire we get to talking and I find out he's from Vincent's Garage. Not only was I familiar with his business I knew his Grandfather through my old employer TCI Cable of Westchester who serviced all of our vehicles. Anthony went back to his house 3 times to find the right sockets and when that didn't work he called his flatbed and had them assist me for no charge! That's what's Christmas is all about! My car broke down on I95 At about 1:30 am. AAA wasn't able to pick me up at that area. I had to call 911 and they directed me to this company. I thought I would have to get towed off the highway then cal AAA again. But Anthony picked me up. He arrived 15 min after I called. He then offered to drive me all the way back to Astoria queens! Great service! Anthony in the office was able to give me a heads up on timing and then contacted me when the driver (also named Anthony) was on his way! Anthony the driver, easily hooked up my car and delivered my car and me to our final location. It was easy and straightforward with absolutely NO HASSLES. This is a ripoff joint. Towed my car, did more than $1,000 worth of damage--bent the undercarriage, twisted the muffler, knocked off bumper. Then they denied doing ANY of this, claiming this is how they found the car. Told me my car's broken transmission shifter was not repairable and left it a disassembled mess. My usual mechanic fixed it for $200. Vincent's is a volume tow operation, and is both unethical and incompetent. Stay away. read more

A friend of mine from massachusetts Was stranded in New York on the way to a gig. This garage could have easily taken advantage of him and overcharged him. However, they not only put him ahead of others, but they did the job for a very reasonable price so that he could be on his way as quickly as possible. Horrible! Damaged my car during towing, then half assed the fix job. Said that they can't pop the bumper back in because theres previous damage, even though the bumper was previously always popped in. Went to another shop and they did it in 2 min. Clueless! read more
