Update: 50% refund…read more Yeah, don't go with these guys. i had specific instructions for my move both to the rep on the phone (xavier he's great) and to them directly. all were not really cared for properly. I should have just gotten my friends and a uhaul to move, but i was promised it would take 5hrs. i was billed 5.5hrs. tip top of the money i had left. and they didn't even have time to move everything. why? because their recklessness with my things i didn't want them carrying my computer monitors. they were hired to pack and move stuff across portland. they came at 1:30 when they said only to tell me that they didn't know they needed all the packing stuff. they eventually arrived nearly 2hrs later and towards the END Of the original window i was promised without any 'hey we will be there at this ETA' they said they got stuck behind a train, which is fine i guess? but no update after that until i called and complained, which got me a 5% discount, which is nice i guess? but like everything that happened after were MASSIVE red flags, both for the computer and the 'movers' which felt like contractors they just hired for whatever without properly vetting. i had a small move, 2 rooms. they were the slowest movers and most reckless movers i've ever hired. but i don't really blame them fully for that. supposedly they were working since 8am and just drove up from salem or something. they didn't even eat lunch. is that even legal?! no wonder they came to the door exhausted already and out of it. These 2 guys did the best they could, but honestly with how exhausted I was from helping them (something i SHOULDN'T HAVE HAD TO DO), they were doing a good job, but that doesn't really matter. In the end this guy ruined my $2000 custom built standing desk for music. not sure if i can get it repaired or fixed. he undid it and said he will put it back together. it was pretty easy just a few bolts into the joints between the wooden top and the legs and putting on the keyboard tray. easy stuff for the most part (when you have a drill, i don't own one). this guy didn't even look at where he was drilling or understand how the desk was put together after showing him specific things. he just drilled in the bolts and they hit a part that they're supposed to go into but was put in backwards making it impossible (on purpose) to get the screw in. this guy just kept drilling harder and harder and when i asked him about it he was like yeah it's supposed to sound like that. He either was so exhausted he couldn't think straight or just took on tasks he could have said 'yeah i don't know how to do that, can you do it?' either way now i have a broken desk that's only partially built and put together. i am really glad i moved all of my expensive stuff to my place with a friend last weekend, because they definitely would have broken a lot of very expensive things! I also gave them a mattress cover to put on the mattress, and they struggled doing that. You are movers wtf?! i zipped it up about half way and moved on. Then when we got to my new place they didn't even use it and put the mattress on the pavement to get a better angle or something. like what was the point in bringing it?! They also dropped a bunch of precious memories i had in a bin in a bin, they said they took them out because the outer bin couldn't close (bs). They were holding it open wrapped around their arm and i asked them to close it as it doesn't look secure and he said it would be fine, then immediately drops it with pictures and papers dropping on the ground and getting dirty. Anyway this all just happened. and there's no way I can live in my new place due to the lack of time they afforded to me to actually place things in the right spot. At least my bed is in the right spot. luckily for now i am in a short term rental because my last place had mold and why I am moving. i am highly allergic and being there as long as i did, both to wait for them to show up and how slowly they worked on loading the truck, I am feeling sick again because of it. The estimate was low balled to say the least because these guys move at a snails pace because this company overworks them and treats likely their staff like crap. these are probably more desperate people looking for an easy pay day. one guy was like 'i worked 4 days this month' and the other one worked 6 days in a row. a 12 hr day without a break outside of driving (which isn't a break) isn't really fair or legal? I paid nearly 1k for this move, and you can't afford to give these people a proper break between moves? I'm sure they weren't making nearly enough either. Lastly they pressured me to sign a thing at the end of the receipt that says everything was delivered intact, which i didn't sign. Anyway go with another company, not worth the risk. I didn't have another weekend to do this move as i need to have a livable space and that takes time as well. Anyway the movers were careless, slow, expensive, and ignored instructions.

The rep said turning it sideways to get it thought the door was a special event somehow and that I would have to sign some papers. Seriously, I'm paying $700 to move a 350 pound object from the parking lot into my apartment. All Service Moving should bake the liability into the cost. If they drop it and I can't fix it, I'm willing to eat the $3k to buy a new one but they should at least agree to haul the old one away and move in the next one for free.

The movers arrived on time, worked efficiently, and completed the job in half the time I had expected. They handled my belongings with care including my fragile plants, which I really appreciated. They were respectful of her house and mine, and careful to not damage any walls or floors. They protected her beautiful furnishings very well during transportation and in and out of houses, and into the correct location. They cared about placing furniture in just the right spot. They were patient with letting us install extension cords behind heavy furniture before they shifted it into place. Before they left, we asked them to move a queen bed and heavy dresser six inches to the left, so that everything fit the way we wanted, and they didn't bat an eye. They were gracious and kind and friendly. They communicated effectively with each other. This trio got some much done on a day. They were truly remarkable. I will ask for them again.

I was getting frustrated because there was absolutely no clear communication going on between myself and these 2 guys. I was told by Alina the owner that the movers would assemble my bed in the new apartment. When I had talked to the guys about it they said that they do not assemble furniture. The one guy walked out to his truck and made a phone call and came back and told me that they were canceling my move and refused to do it even though I had to be out of my apartment that day. They brought the few boxes of mine that they had in their truck and dumped them in my driveway and left. I could never recommend Diamond Moving! Horrible people! They helped wrap and secure furniture, helped disassemble a few simple pieces of furniture. Helped with packing and loading boxes. Gave advice for when unpacking the pod. Great communication with the office and day of crew! The guys were thorough and meticulous with family heirlooms. They insured that breakables were protected-- I felt they were very knowledgeable with this area (lots of glass pieces). They were very hard workers, efficient with time and worked well with each other. The guys were respectful to the family home. I couldn't be happier with our choice to hire this crew!
