Warning: This business may be fraudulent! At very least, the business seems to be very dishonest. We called RO Appliance for a refrigerator repair job in spring 2023. They came out took apart the refrigerator and decided it needed some special part that needed to be ordered from Italy. Ok, fine. We paid them close to $1000 on that day to order the part. Here we are over 16 months later and the part still has not arrived. Every time we call in they say the part is on the way and should be here any day. In fact, they have scheduled several installation appointments with us only to cancel each the day of because the part hasn't arrived. But here is where it get's really suspicious. The last time we called after they cancelled the installation appointment, the person we are talking to said the part was currently in her hand as she was speaking to us and even made the point to make a noise banging it against her hand to prove it. We scheduled an installation appointment and wouldn't you know it, the day of they cancelled saying the part had not been received yet. Several follow-up calls by us have gone unanswered and they haven't returned our messages. Be careful! This business might be a scam! read more

A technician named Ray came to my house to diagnose problems with three appliances. He spent a mere less than 10 minutes looking at them and then charged a whopping $300! The rest of the time he was on his iPad $$$$ amts to charge me next time The worst part? The estimate Ray provided for repairs seemed highly inflated. It raised serious concerns about the company's ethics and honesty. In my 50 years, I've rarely felt compelled to write a bad review. However, Ray's visit left me feeling completely cheated. Their pricing structure is outrageous and lacks transparency. It's impossible to understand how they justify such high charges for minimal service. Rudy response quick, but not specialize in HVAC, not good at all, it's a terrible experience. They are not able to find out our HVAC problem, but only according to PG&E note and he charged us $995. Tune up HVAC 15 minutes, charged $295 but right after he tuned up the Heater, it out of work... speachless!! I found out they did not know how to tune up at all, left 80% of area full of metal ashes, and he said the machine is too old, what can you do with it? Should I cry for hired you? In the cold winter day our heater right after your maintenance die. I total paid $1290 and ask for refund, he said since he came 4 times, spend times, replace filters, tune up. willing to give 200 back, I am so frustrated, several times talk, and can said refund 400 no more. Technician looked at the drain and made arbitrary decision that pump needs to be replaced without even opening the dishwasher. Two weeks later, he pulls out the pump and explains me how the 'these new pumps get broken'. I run dishwasher and is still not draining... I took my multimeter and surprise: pump was perfectly fine, the drain must be clogged. I've called multiple times asking them to come back and fix it properly, no response... read more

These people are horrible! Our refrigerator was making a weird noise. The guy said that it needed to be flushed and that the $100.00 charge would be part of the repair. The whole thing was supposed to be $650.00. We called them many many times at this point to find out when they will be able to come back. Very Frustrated, as LG recommended this service company, what a mistake. We called to schedule warranty work for my LG product, the receptionist said they are refusing any more LG Service calls until their business relationship is improved, and maybe someday again they would consider working with LG, but not today. Its been 3yrs, now since they have stopped doing business with LG. If a small service company cant figure out how to do business with enterprise companies, why would I send them my business? If I had written this review two days ago, I would have indicated zero stars for the company. However, I am a happy customer today and plan to use their services from now on! Scheduling the work on my Whirlpool washer was a breeze. Raymond, the technician, was an expert and diagnosed the issue readily which requires a part for the repair. Since they need to order the part, it would take several days. I checked in with the company 5 days later (included the weekend) regarding the whereabouts of the part. The lady who answered promised to call me back the same day with the status. I did not receive a call. I left a message that evening venting my frustration on the lack of follow up. Areli, who answered my original call, called me the next day. She apologized profusely in forgetting to follow up with me. She understood how frustrating it would be to have a non-working washer and thanked me for my patience. She indicated that the part was due to arrive that day and scheduled a tech the same day to repair it. I now have a working washer, yay! I really appreciate Areli's efforts in resolving my issue. I called RO to fix the ice maker on my Liebherr fridge. They came within the time window and sent a message on status. Raymond the technician was friendly and professional. He assessed the icemaker accurately and noticed the ice forming on the back of the fridge. He explained that this was the sensor that he could also replace. Came to repair LG fridge that sometimes beeps due to sensor thinking the door is open when it's not. They were able to fix the issue, and it worked for ~3 months, then started randomly beeping again. They came out again, and rather than fixing the problem, the technician actually made it worse -- it started beeping permanently (24x7), but I still got charged. Technician said they would call again in the morning to discuss, but never did. I called the office the next day and left a message (They don't usually pick up the phone during office hours). Still haven't received a call back yet. Very disappointed, and would not recommend to others. read more

I was getting an Error code on my Bosch washing machine. Most appliance repair companies I called do not work on Bosch. This company is awesome from the lady who answered the phone to the tech that came out. They even have an automated system that calls you when the tech is on his way which is a plus for me since I have dogs. Raymond was wearing a mask and very respectful of my house. My machine is fixed and for a great price. I have their name and # programmed in my phone for any future appliance repairs. I highly recommend them. read more

There are only so many days you can wear your underwear without having your co-workers wonder if a possum died in the ceiling above you. Also, turning them inside out only gives you the illusion of clean clothes for so long. If you're thinking that's why God invented cologne, think again. No amount of Drakkar Noir will hide the stench emanating from your "FBI - Female Body Inspector" shirt. Thank goodness, Ray and Rose came to the rescue! After calling 3 other appliance repair places, one of them referred me to Ray. The other places did not service LG clothes washers. Rose set me up with an appointment for 2 days later and Ray came over within the estimated time frame. He was able to diagnose the problem and came back a few days later, after the part came in, to replace the part. He took about 30 minutes to replace the part and tested it to make sure it was working (along with another gentleman). Ray was very friendly and professional, as was Rose. However, as nice as they were, I hope to NEVER call them again!! BTW, I actually do have more than 1 pair of boxers to wear. But, 1 of them was already dirty thanks to a huge spider I saw above my head on the couch and the other one was......... hmmmmmmm............ maybe I should buy more underwear. read more

Ray came out on a Thursday, charged me $85 for a 10 minute diagnostic and quoted me $550 for repair of my oven. He told me the part (control panel) alone would cost $375. Interestingly enough, later that night I found the part myself online for $295. Ray informed me the part would be delivered the following day and I would have my oven back by Saturday at the latest. It's now Tuesday and I had to call for an update, as Ray never followed up. I am now being told it will be another week before the part comes in... Very knowledgable great quality works. No doubt! Yet, be aware if your repair requires part replacement. A huge markup will be added to your bill as others also mentioned. In my case, $257.86 parts on sears (where he ordered the part from) ended up $330.70 on my bill. I only checked one item, but i'm not surprised that other items tell the same story. His labor charge is not low to begin with. Adding the the huge markup on parts is not cool. Again, just to be fair, Ray is very knowledgable and does great quality works. read more

Pretty frustrated. I was referred to this company by LG. They are saying they aren't doing any warranty work at this time. I have a dryer that I've been trying to get fixed for 3 WEEKS now. This company and another were the ONLY numbers LG gave me. The other company, it is the most bizzare thing ever, refuses to come to my house because we aren't on google maps??? We are in a new neighborhood, so obviously it's not showing. So I'm extremely frustrated and have no idea how the hell to get my dryer fixed! It's only 1 month old. My LG all in one washer-dryer was dumping water into the drum during the dry cycle. Ray came by and couldn't find any clear signs of what was wrong but he recommended that we replace the valves and gave us the part numbers to do it on our own if we wanted to. Great first experience. My piece of crap 1 year and 2 month old Whirlpool washing machine broke and they came out next day. Lorenzo was polite and friendly. The first part that was replaced did not fix the issue and it was determined to be the board. The put my original part back in and just charged me the difference for the new problem piece. So we called RO appliance around 5:30pm and they said they can come over between 7:00-9:00. (That's really great because you don't want to throw everything out in refrigerator!) They showed up a little before 7:00, diagnosed problem, had the part they needed and fixed our refrigerator!!!! What a life saver!!!! They are so friendly and professional! We found R.O. Appliances through yelp, and boy, aren't we glad we did! Ray has been fantastic! He was just at our house this weekend working on our oven that was fried after PG&E negligently ignored some issues with our electricity... and the oven paid the price. He came in, after carefully looking at the issue, brought in all the possible parts, and thankfully only one was needed, returned the rest and we only had to pay for what was used. Efficient and responsive. We had several items needing attention, including cleaning refrigerator coils, repairing tension rods on a microwave, replacing oven light bulbs and cleaning the inside of the glass panel of the oven door. In the initial visit, most of the work was completed. Tension rods had to be ordered for our specific microwave door. Once the parts were received, the remaining items were completed. All done well. I called Ray. i told him: "I think it's the magnetron." -he stopped by, put a cup of water in the microwave, turned it on for a minute, took it out (still cold), and said "Yep, it's the magnetron." He said he'd have to order it, but he could be back in a few days with it. True to his word, a few days later he was beck, installed the magnetron, and bingo! My microwave works again. My LG dryer has been working funny. The dryer stops every time when I try to dry a load of washed clothes. Called LG and they referred this RO repair company. Waited two weeks for a guy to come. The man came in late afternoon, and after 40 min, he told me nothing was found. He claimed that he has checked everything but nothing seems broken! He told me I could use a card to pay the $85 (obviously he was ready and rushed to get off work). I then asked him a couple questions, and one of them was to ask him if he could connect the air duct back to the dryer. While he was trying to screw and connect the air duct to the dryer, I came inside the house and get my credit card. I thought maybe I can dry some damp clothes to help and see if he could find the problem right there. So I brought some damp cloths also with my credit card to the garage. I said, can we try to dry these clothes see if the problem shows up? His face soon turned upset and said, then I will have to charge you connecting the air duct labor fee. I have already tried everything and I don't see any problems with the dryer! You can call again later if the problem shows up again. He was rude! I was like, okay, I'm here trying to solve the problem, and I guess you don't care about your job. I feel I was wasting my time and MONEY! $85 for nothing and with an attitude? If you respect yourself, then please don't come working and rushing into leaving! People pay you to help finding and solving the problem, not to pay you and get your irresponsible working manner. If you have other choices, DON'T ever call this repair company. Save yourself time and money! read more

I highly recommend using RO Appliance Co. if you're in need of a service call. He is professional, honest and prepared. When our refrigerator broke down, we did what many others have done, called Sears since that is where we purchased it. After an impersonal call where you felt like a number, we were told they would have someone out in 2 days. Yes, we were calling on Labor Day, but we were hoping to at least get someone the next day. I looked up other repair places and thought I would give RO Appliance a call. Not only did Ray pick up the call at 8:30am on a holiday, but he also said he would be there in the next hour. He showed up, identified the problem, replaced the part and our refrigerator was working immediately. Our Sub Zero gave up the ghost and stopped cooling on the refrigerator side. Everything I read on the Web indicated this was a classic Sub Zero failure. After 10 to 12 years the corrosive environment within a normal refrigerator will eat away at the Evaporator and eventually loose freon. To confirm this diagnosis, I disassembled the internal cavity and removed the back panel to get access to the evaporator. Sure enough there was frost in the upper left corner of the evaporator. So I was left knowing what was wrong and had a fully disassembled refrigerator. I called Ray on a very good referral from Mike at Kit Cat repair. I was willing to buy the new evaporator and have have Ray do the installation. Ray not only gave me a break on the install because I did all the diagnostics and disassembly, but offered to buy the part for the same price I would have paid from the Sub Zero distributor in Hayward. He was a professional in all regards. Very neat, excellent tools and organization. He was in and out in about an hour. Before he left I asked him about a couple of other appliance issues we'd been having. Our Viking 6 burner stove would spark endlessly after cleaning and of late, 2 of the burners never stop sparking. He told me it was the igniters that had gone bad and estimated the parts and repair. I thanked him and then showed him our Thermador oven. He immediately ask if the display was out. I said, how did you know? Apparently this is another of those poorly designed appliances. He said the display would need replacing but he also knew that Thermador had a retrofit kit that would prevent it from happening again. Ray gave me an estimate for the parts and said he would be happy to order the parts and come back to do the repair. I'm a hands on guy and can perform these repairs knowing the cause and having available the part. But given Rays professionalism and candor, I would hire him again! read more
