Only the "gold" carwash had the undercarriage cleaning option, but I didn't want the other options that came with the "gold" carwash that cost about $10. I just wanted the $5 basic carwash. I asked one of the workers what he would recommend, and rather than trying to upsell the services, he sprayed water on the undercarriage of the car to wipe out any dirt that may have collected. read more

After reading Yelp reviews I headed to Roadrunner for my first wash in 5 months! The lone attendant was very helpful as my fully automated car had a hard time being coaxed into neutral and would not turn off the rain sensing wipers... The rest of the experience was fine. The machines did a fine job with no damage. I would recommend bringing some microfiber towels to wipe off the remaining dribbles for a perfect job. read more

This hidden Scottsdale gem is wonderful. Driving cross country we checked out quite few car washes. This is by far the best for your buck. We paid $11 for the platinum (top of the line) wash and got a solid wash for a small price. The free vacuums really work well. Easy to get in and out of. I want to start out by saying, I used to love this car wash when I lived in AZ. It was my go-to for years and I was on the monthly plan with an auto-renewal because I would go all the time. However, since moving out of the state over 8 months ago, I continue to be auto-charged on my credit card. I have tried calling countless times, only once in those 8 months was I able to get through to a voicemail, in which I left my concern and my return phone number. Every other time I get a message that the voicebox is full and zero times has anyone ever picked up the phone. Never got a call back either. They have no email address to contact. I even filed a dispute with my cc company at one point, which got me one month's worth of a refund, but somehow this carwash is still charging my card every month! I've tried multiple times to reach someone. I've waited and waited to see if someone will shown up. Nothing. I want to cancel and have no way to do so. I swear every time I park my car under a tree it immediately becomes a target for every bird in a 5 mile radius. This time was 100x worse because it seems they have learned to aim for the DOOR HANDLE of the car so in order to open the door I have to look for the 1% surface area that doesn't have poo on it... Anyways, I looked up this place and stopped by. The most immediate thing I noticed was the price. They charge $4.95 for a basic car wash which to me is a ridiculous deal (I figured that since we're in a desert environment... it would cost more?). You pay at the gate and you navigate your way onto a guide path for your wheel so it can bring you through. The whole process was quick and efficient and my car came out sparkling clean! They even have vacuums nearby after your wash you can use to further tidy up your vehicle! Highly recommended for sure! read more

I have moved from the area and they continue to charge me, they will not respond to any form of contact that I've tried. I've had to contact my bank to have the charges reversed. They have done that, yet Roadrunner Car Wash continues to charge me the subsequent month. It has now been 24 days since the bank has contacted them and there's been no response even to the bank. This is the most economical car wash in north Scottsdale. It's not brushless, so I can't take my off-road rig there anymore. But my other vehicle is fine going through, even with roof rails and cross bars. The car always comes out clean (minus off-road dust in hard-to-reach places). The vacuums are "sucky" (even says so on the sign). I'd advise using one of the first three vacuums in the lineup, as they have the most suction. But I'm always able to get my car clean here for a reasonable price and the lines are seldom long. read more

The cheapest car wash in the valley that is well worth it: the premium tier is around $12 and comes with a "clean for 3 days guarantee." Objectively, my car was indeed super clean after the drive through. The only missed spots were sections of my side mirrors and the antennae compartment near the sunroof. Super super super cheap carwash!! Five dollars was so value. You can get access to vaccuums afterwards, too. Didn't get all of the bad bird poop stuck on the windshield of my car, but did get most of it! At least they had some paper towels at the end for me to do some spot cleaning. Some of the bugs were removed. My antenna on my pickup truck was bent by the brushes and when I went to undo it from the truck, it broke off due to how bad it was bent. The road salt and grime still remains, I can't clean in between the seats as the nozzles on the vacuums are a little too big. I'll stay away and look for another company for drive thru car washes. read more

A fantastic car wash in the Scottsdale airpark corridor. This facility has way more options than competitors in the area, and I find the staff to be more engaging and friendly. You're provided with your choice of air freshener upon entry, which is always a great touch, and there several free vacuum stalls available after you've exited the wash. In addition, the lines here are never long. Whether that's because they're so efficient or it's not been discovered by enough people yet, I really appreciate it compared to the 10-15 minute wait I used to endure at the Costco car wash near by. I only wish it were open later, but it still remains my favorite option when my car is in need of a good shine! read more

Horrible car wash. Do not waisted your time. How this place has any good reviews, is beyond me. The air blower portion of the drive thru doesn't do much but move the water around your vehicle. There are no, as in no towels provided. Express and All Star car washes all provide clean and dry microfiber towels for the same price, so it can be done. The compressed air lines barely work and are extremely short. Then there are the vacuums... well, don't bother. To top it all off this place is pretty dirty and filled with a lot of litter in the vacuum area. read more

How did I not know about this place sooner? I had a dr. apt in the area and looked on Yelp for a good car wash and found this gem. This is definitely my new go-to car wash for when I don't have an hour to wait around and just want my car cleaned fast. This place is hidden behind the Valero gas station by Costco. I've driven by it tons of times but always thought it was part of the gas station. It's not. I guess I just assumed it was kind of pricey since they don't have a large sign advertising their low cost like most cheap car wash places do. The lowest price is $4.99, the same price I used to pay for a car wash in Old Town. However, you get a free wet cloth to wipe down the interior of your car and free vacuum usage. What a deal! My rims were looking a bit dirty so I opted for the $0.99 upgrade of a tire shine too. Even their most expensive option is only $9.99, $1 more than Costco down the street. I was surprised that there weren't a ton of water spots left on my car since it wasn't hand dried. Whenever I used to leave my car wash place, there were always tons of streaks. There were still some dirt left on my car from bird poop and bugs but that's to be expected. It's been a while since I got my car washed. I've finally found my car wash home. In the 10 years I've lived in Arizona, I've complained about the car washes - they won't stop hounding you with up-sells, it takes forever, they are a zoo, they are expensive, etc. Road Runner Express is ahhh-mazing! I drove right up, paid a couple dollars on an easy to use machine that talks to you very nicely. I pulled forward and a man directed me to be sure my tire was in the right place. He gave me a little wet cloth to wipe the dash and an air freshener. The automatic wash took me through the process and then towards the end, as I was in the drying stage, off to my right was a sign to text roadrunner to get signed up for coupons. So, I texted for coupons while being dried (genius). Afterwards I turned the corner into an abundance of free vacuum cleaners. I'll definitely be using my buy 4 get the 5th free card and may even sign up for monthly unlimited washes for $14. woo hoo! read more

After the dust storm two weeks ago, the Monday morning drive to work was fraught with embarrassment as it looked like everyone had gotten around to washing my car except for me.
