Terrible management. Incredibly poor customer service. We will not return. Outrageous lack of customer appreciation.

After eating lunch here I am shocked at the 3.5 average rating on Yelp. This was an incredible meal and the prices reflect the quality and flavor. We dined in and felt very safe with their covid precautions. I ordered the jam burger, which was on the sweeter side but absolutely delicious. The burger itself was incredibly juicy and tender. My boyfriend ordered the short rib enchiladas and WOW. Tender meat and the sauce was unlike any enchilada sauces I have had before. We did not order from their drink menu but it looked extensive. Happy Hour is one of the reasons I'm here and then work. I just left and an headed back to Denver and I cannot believe I haven't hit traffic !! It's Tuesday at 4:58pm and we are cruising in the HOV lane. I've always disliked driving to Boulder because of traffic but OMG,, it's so different. Anyway, Captain Morgan's spiced rum and whatever you want to fill it with is only three dollars at happy hour. The liquor that they provide for happy-hour is above par, I'm comparing to most happy hours and drink specials which is usually well alcohol. YUK I know that's not much to say because most places serve the worse for well drinks ( this doesn't include Ted's Montana Grill) I will never understand why restaurants do this ? AnyWho, the fish taco made of Mahi and the the tropical salsa were amazing and the flour tortilla's tasted homemade but were not. Brussels sprouts were incredible !! I love brussels sprouts but sometimes you bite into one and your mouth fills with oil. It's so disappointing. That did not happen here. And the edamame was perfect as well. Very affordable happy hour and what a view if you sit on their patio. A great view of the Flat Irons. Hey, by the way, this is the new depot for our future light rail headed to Boulder and till then,, you could always visit on a bus for now. RTD is a very relaxing way to travel. The food was great. Unfortunately we were not happy with our service. I stood at the hostess spot to be seated for about 10 mins without being acknowledged. Multiple people walked by and even used the computer in front of me without even a simple "hello". When we were finally seated, it took about 15 mins to be acknowledged AGAIN! We were finally able to place our drink and food orders. Then once our food came out we sat there and waited for utensils, we actually had to ask our waiter TWICE to get utensils. Our two daughters were so hungry and grown tired of waiting the ate HALF of their pancakes with just their hands. Then when we were finally done and she cleared our table, she never came back. We had to ask two other people to grab our checks for us. Our waitress did not come back to our table till after the gentleman completed our bill. The food was delicious but the customer service was very disappointing and needs some work. read more

What a cool spot. The atmosphere is awesome with an industrial decor and the food was delicious. They also take reservations! (always a plus). For brunch they have $11 all you can drink mimosas which is such an amazing deal and $5 bloodies with a full bloody bar where you can put anything you could ever imagine in your drink. I got the truffle mushroom omelet which was incredible, I just wish it were bigger. My friends both got bennies which were also delicious. Our server was knowledgeable and extremely attentive. Can't wait to go back here and take advantage of the bottomless mimosas. read more

Nice atmosphere. Great menu. Average food. We had 6 different entrees and if I went back we would not repeat any of them. Not terrible - just not good. I got the short rib enchiladas. The meat had a good flavor but the entire dish was like warm. I think the sauce may have been good hot. Same with the lemon chicken. The burger had great flavor as did the prime rib dip. The poke bowl was good. Hannah our waitress was excellent and helpful. This place is just average. With a little more effort in the actual meals this would be a great spot! read more

This was next door to the hotel i was staying for training. We stopped by a number of times over the 4 days and were plesantly pleased with what we ate. The staff did their best if it was empty or full. The suggested good options each time. Truffle pizza was ok, but just needed a little something more. Pretzles and cheese were tasty Kale salad was great. Beer on tap was great. I would return here again if i was in the area, although staying at the hotel which was also directly on the tracks, i will not be there! read more

After eating here twice, I'd give this place a solid 3 stars. It's not bad, but nothing to write home about. Each time I've eaten here, it's been for takeout, however the restaurant looks nice inside with a spacious, industrial, cozy vibe. during COVID when I went to pick ip my food, people were eating inside but they seemed appropriately spaced out. Back to my food ... the first order, they got wrong, and I ended up having to drive back after getting home with my food to exchange for what I actually ordered (which was a burger). The burger was decent, however, I'd choose a burger at The Cork, Black Belly, 1914 House or Mountain Sun over this one. The second order, my husband got the short rib enchiladas and I got the wings with a few sides (sweet potato fries, apple chipotle slaw and brussels sprouts). The enchiladas looked nothing like the picture on the website - when my husband opened the box, he said "they got my order wrong again". But I think the order was right, they just looked nothing like he expected from the picture online. They came with a creamy sauce, similar to the consistency of clam chowder but a little thicker. He said they were just ok. The wings were good. I wouldn't say they are better than my favorite wings in town (at Fresh Thymes), but they were my favorite thing in our order. Cooked well, juicy meat, just right buffalo sauce (not too spicy). I ordered 6 buffalo hot wings and 6 BBQ but there were no BBQ in my box, only 12 buffalo. The brussels were mushy and when I opened the box my first thought was that someone ate half my order. There was hardly anything in the box. These are not as good as the brussels at Pepper (unfortunately closed) or Shine. The sweet potato fries were fine, but if you want truly excellent sweet potato fries, the best ones in town are at Shine. The apple chipotle slaw was also fine but not very flavorful. So all in all, this place gets a solid 3 stars. I really want to like this place and I'd still like to try their paleo bowl, but I'm not sure I'll be back with so many other great options in town. read more

I've been coming here since they opened and have always enjoyed the food. They have one of the best happy hours in town. The Asian spice dry rub chicken wings are incredible. The pulled pork tacos are some of the best I've ever eaten. The burgers are always solid. I also love the fact they re-purposed the original Boulder Train Depot. I'll never forget watching this historic building move to its current location. The renovation of the building turned out quite well. read more

We were extremely hungry after a day out riding at Copper Mountain & were in need of something hardy. We ordered the Pretzel Bites with Queso which was the perfect amount of salt and just delicious. We ordered the Road House Burger and Magic Mushroom Burger & loved them. So much flavor and so filling. I even had to ask for a to go box since I couldn't finish it in one sitting! We went in last night for dinner. Our server, Chayse, was a great person. He made recommendations, took his time, and really made us feel like we were his only table (though I think he had about 9 tables at the time). He was great with my kids and just made it feel like I was at a friend's house for dinner. It was an awesome experience. Visited today with a group of friends to watch the KU football game. We ordered bottomless mimosas and before we could even take a sip, we had the manager telling us we couldn't "chug" or we would be kicked out. While this is completely understandable, we had not said anything about chugging our drinks nor was his hostility warranted. Throughout the rest of our stay he continued to stare at us to make sure we didn't chug. It was so uncomfortable and some of us of us had to switch seats to not be stated down while we ate! Not only that, we were sat right by the kitchen so we could hear him yelling at our waitress and other staff! He made our stay completely uncomfortable to the point we felt like leaving multiple times but stayed only Because it was our friends birthday. If you walk in and see a manger with a mullet, immediately walk out. He will make your stay horrible! read more

What a waste of a great location. The decor of the restaurant is awesome but the service was anything but. The place wasn't busy and from what I could tell they had 1 manager, 1 waitress, 1 bartender and 4 bus boys. We were there for an hour and our waitress took our order and didn't come back to the table till we asked for our check. She disappeared after saying "I'll bring you your drinks." I saw the bartender pour them and then had to go to the bar myself to get them since they sat there for 5 min. It took another 15 min for the "Chef's Dip" to come to our table which ended up being cold potato chips and a scoop of some dip. I had to go back to the bar to order another drink after 45 min of the waitress not stopping by the table even though she walked by several times. Without asking, the bartender comped it because he saw how long we had to wait. He was the only bright spot in this horrible experience. Food is overpriced, low quality food and even worse service. read more

Fantastic service. We made a reservation through Open Table and arrived early. They sat us right away and the staff was wonderful. Our server made good recommendations and was very knowledgeable about the menu and allergens. They've got a gluten free bun option for burgers. Be careful ordering a salad - they're huge! The burgers were yummy (especially the sweet potato fries). And our whole table enjoyed the appetizers. We got the hummus plate and the brussell sprouts. Drinks were also tasty. Really enjoyed this place. Came here with a group of 7 for lunch hour. Most people in my party got either power bowls or Mahi Mahi tacos, and I loved how they had some good drink and wing specials. While the menu was extremely creative, it just felt that they lacked a bit on execution. Would have thought the Mahi tacos would have had some sort of cabbage slaw, and the side of potato chips didn't seem homemade although I could be wrong! Came for wings and craft beer. Expectations exceeded. The atmosphere was so cool; they kept the train depot aesthetic but with modern artsy light fixtures. There's a second bar downstairs with its own vibe. I can't speak on their burgers -- any southerner knows beef prepared north of Texas is going to be disappointing so I didn't bother. I'm sitting here listening to my son rave about this place. The atmosphere, the food and everything in there is incredible. His words verbatim. I rarely hear him speak about an eating establishment so much as I am now listening to his visit a few days ago with my granddaughter. If I hadn't already had dinner, I would go now. Cheddar eggs Benedict are amazing. Chicken wings for my granddaughter were delicious. While I haven't been, I had to write this on his behalf. I was able to secure a last minute reservation for Monday night and wow they were busy! The menu has a great selection of beer, wine and signature cocktails. Menu is flexible if you'd like to swap out your meat options. I had a beyond burger with mushrooms and it was delicious. Definitely try the Brussels sprouts! read more

Refeshing vibe in a hidden corner. Brian the bartender was awesome. His recommendation of the Prime Dip was legit off the charts. Awesome flavor and great dip! The fries appeared to be lightly battered and were delicious. The beer selection is perfect and there is something for everyone. And TV's abound so I'd love to come here to watch a game sometime. Two things keeping it from 5 stars. The hostess was on her cell phone when I walked in, and didn't pause her convo when I walked in. And there were a bunch of kitchen staff smoking weed outside the back door as I walked by. I get that it's Colorado but they could at least not be sitting outside the business in their uniforms. Service was fine but not great; I ordered a soda that never got refilled and charged for substituting a side when the menu stated my meal came with a side. No issues with the taste of the food, however four of us ending up getting food poisoning - the two of us that ate the Prime Dip had the worst time. Strip was EXTREMELY poor quality, gristle and fat throughout. Filet was decent. Both steaks were cooked well, but oddly unseasoned, with no option to salt/season at the table. The $37 filet included 4 pieces of broccolini and about 1/2 cup mashed potatoes....VERY meager. 20 minute wait for second cocktail and soda, which server forgot to order. Wanted to try dessert, but figured the incremental wait times would put me us at 30 minutes for that. Overall, about 90 minutes to get 5 drinks and two entrees....in a less-than-busy place on a Sunday night. Would go out of my way to avoid this place, and I recommend you do as well. read more

4 for food, 2 for service. I went here for a group lunch with my coworkers. We ordered 5 appetizers and 9 entrees in total, and the appetizers were definitely the best. Pretzel bites with queso that was homemade and delicious, baked Brie perfectly toasted with peach marmalade. Poke was a little spicy but beautifully presented and fresh. But the best were the beet hummus and Brussels sprouts! MUST order. For lunch we all tried different things but I was left still hungry (even after splitting appetizers) after my poke bowl entree. Everyone liked their food but no one LOVED their food. The service, while friendly, was slooooooow. It took us an hour and 40 minutes, and we did have a big group, but our entrees all came out at different times probably spanning 3 minutes. The atmosphere of this restaurant is perfect for a fun dinner with friends or family and the staff is very welcoming. The industrial feel is great and they even have a large room in the basement that is perfect for events. I really enjoyed the food that they have and the brussel sprouts are amazing!! I would definitely recommend this place for anyone who wants to enjoy a night out without worrying about being in a super crazy Boulder area like 29th or Pearl St.! read more

Wow. I've never had an experience like we just had at Roadhouse Depot. The food was...meh. Low quality and overpriced. The ambiance? Well, if you like poor acoustics and clattering cutlery....But these defects were nothing compared to the truly mind-blowing rudeness and inappropriateness of the staff. We were overcharged for one of the items on the menu--not by much, but one of my companions politely pointed it out. The manager, TONY, told her basically "Too bad, not gonna do anything about it." When she (again, politely and calmly) asked "But don't you want us to be happy?" Tony said she was being "disrespectful," turned on his heel and left. We were literally stunned into silence. Besides the fact that it was dishonest, his attitude and anger were completely inappropriate. We said nvm, wrote it off to a bad experience, and started to pay the bill. Our server came to our table and asked what was going on. We told her it wasn't her fault, she didn't do anything wrong, don't worry about it. We really were that eager to leave! She kept pressing us for details, and we kept saying really, not a big deal. Then another server, BRIANNA, came up, got in my face, and said "She doesn't have time for this." Grabbed her arm and dragged her off. Again: stunned into silence. I've eaten in restaurants all over the world, and literally never had an experience like this. Our attempts to contact the manager, the owner, social media, etc. have been repeatedly ignored. Are Boulder's standards really that low, or is the owner sitting on a giant bucket of money and just doesn't care about being successful? read more
