    Blueberry omelette

I had been looking forward to visiting for some time. I do love a good breakfast place... unfortunately this was not one of those. We were seated at a tiny booth that was more narrow than my shoulders. Luckily there was another table available.... Actually several were. Which should have been a clue. I ordered the Denver scramble special. However it came out with onions and they forgot which toast I ordered. They took it back quickly and remade it correctly. The home fries were undercooked and bland. My wife got a single blueberry pancake. She said it was adequate.... Bottom line: It was disappointing but I can now check the box on this one.

Cute restaurant in a super cute neighborhood. Loved the strawberry matcha, it was not too sweet which worried me. The bacon egg Benedict came recommended from the hostess, and they did not disappoint! Service was good, with a friendly staff.

Food: Was pretty good, I had the Swiss & Mushroom omelette. The flavors were pretty good, I really enjoyed the balsamic onions, it added a nice acidity that was needed. The mushrooms were well cooked and the Swiss was very cheesy! The pesto needed more acid, as it was overwhelmed by the flavor of the pine nut, ratio was a bit off for me. Also tried one of the pancakes (can't remember which one) which was very good, I believe it was either a pear or apple sauce on it with cinnamon butter which was delicious. Service: The service was good considering how busy they were. Food came out pretty quickly as well. Ambience: A nice little brunch place, and I think on every plate they add a slice of a tangerine!! Overall: A good reliable place, the food is a little pricey for the amount however, but good.

This has been one of my favorite breakfast spots for almost 5 years, but I've noticed that half the plate is filled with seasoned potatoes!? I'm attaching this photo so you can see what I mean: more than half of my plate is potatoes! I was very disappointed to see my plate literally filled with seasoned potatoes. Tagerine, you need to take this review into account because it's not fair.

This is the spot to go to if you're in Lafayette. They had breakfast and lunch options! We sat outside on the patio where there was plenty of shade and service was great. Would definitely go back for lunch! Right in the middle of downtown, lots of great people watching and just enjoying the fresh air! Street parking but it's free!

Tangerine hits the spot! I've seen the location in downtown Lafayette many times but hadn't been in until recently and chose it based off of the Yelp reviews I read. It did not disappoint, so thank you, Yelp friends for your helpful reviews LOL. I stopped in for brunch on a Friday morning I happened to have off of work before running errands around town. Parking around 11AM was pretty easy for me, but I could see that weekend breakfast and brunch rushes would probably make it a bit more challenging, so do keep that in mind when planning your visit. I was greeted by a woman that seemed like one of the managers the instant I walked through the doors and led to my table right away - zero wait. The young woman who would be my waitress then showed up a second later, despite the dining room being pretty busy for a weekday morning. I started with a cup of coffee while I took my time looking over the menu. I think that because of the time I arrived, I received both the breakfast and brunch menus, though I'm not sure if this is just standard for all visitors. Either way, definitely liked having the additional options to consider! I settled on the mushroom and swiss omelet - I love the mushroom and swiss combo on burgers and other foods, but the ingredient combo was super intriguing - balsamic onions, anyone? The meal also came with the option of toast or an english muffin; I chose the english muffin and added a side of potatoes because who doesn't like potatoes? Well, some people, but I am mos def not one of them lol. I settled into the booth to write down my grocery list and sip my coffee after ordering and it seemed as though my meal just appeared out of nowhere - it was ready so fast! The whole plate was piping hot and I could see the steam rising from the eggs. Hell yeah. One of my biggest pet peeves at restaurants is being served less than hot plates. The presentation was appetizing and the first few bites were superb - everything tasted super fresh and the flavors were delicious. The omelet, potatoes, and even the english muffin were all cooked and seasoned (or buttered lol) to perfection! It was a very filling meal that I enjoyed to the last bite. I was checked on regularly throughout my visit and had the coffee I was drinking warmed up a few times; I really appreciate the attentiveness of all the staff that I witnessed and do feel like it speaks so highly of the management and atmosphere of the restaurant. It's so nice to go out for a meal and feel that everyone present in the building - whether staff or customer - is enjoying their time and seems glad to be there. Tangerine is a gem! Not sure when I'll be back, as I don't really go out for breakfast regularly, but I would absolutely jump at the opportunity to stop in again at some point in the future!

Service was okay. Had to ask for refills of coffee and napkins. Food, well.. they need to revamp the menu. Its taste was less than basic. The walnut pesto was clumped in one part of the omelet. The same with the spinach. The potatoes were cold. On both entrees. The kids menu lacks options without eggs. With a kid that has an allergy, the options were very limited and the server seemed to not have any knowledge with allergies.

Corned Beef Hash! The real deal! Soooo good!

This is a cafe where they can prepare a full meal and yet you may not call it a "full service restaurant". You can also order something upfront and be on the go so I enjoyed the "casual" approach. I hadn't had my morning coffee yet; I was a bit overdue for that as a matter of fact. I first asked for the Cold Brew but the young lady upfront said they were all out of it for the day. Bummer...I hence opted for an Iced Latte. I also asked for one the traditional Greek Butter Cookies/Biscuits. And all for to go. As much as I wanted to immerse myself into the exquisite ambient atmosphere inside the cafe, I somehow shied away from doing so as most of the tables were occupied by people with some chatters (they weren't loud or anything however ); I simply wanted some "me time" all by myself in my own car. As much as this place is beautiful, the service was a bit too slow. My simple iced latte and butter cookie/biscuit took about 15 minutes before they were handed to me (while I was awaiting though, an older lady who came out of the kitchen area gave me a nice warm smile and asked if she could assist me. To which I replied, "I am waiting for my beverage and pastry ". As soon as I had said that they were finally ready. Oh boy, I almost thought they had forgotten about me!) But my patience paid off at the end. I really enjoyed my beverage and pastry especially the iced latte. It was well-made in a 16oz cup in a generous pour. The perfect mixture of the espresso shots and the milk; mmmmm!! The butter cookie/biscuit was light and had a hint of butteriness; sure was a nice accomplishment to my cold refreshing latte. The quality didn't disappoint me. While I strongly doubt that I would bother to come all the way up here just to dine at this cafe even for its cuteness, it's a nice place to remember in case I happen to find myself in the neighborhood. This place deserves a perfect 4-star review based on my experience today. And I hope that the service improves a bit in the future.

My girlfriend took me and my children here for Father's Day this past weekend. We had reservations,…read morebut was surprised to find the dining room 1/2 to a 1/3rd empty the entire time there. Despite this, the "kitchen was backed up" and received our order roughly 40-45 minutes after we ordered. This was not an issue for me so much as I kind of expected that on Father's Day, but considering the dining room was not packed I assumed this was a staffing issue. I was more annoyed by the fact that after we received our drink order and placed our food order it was another 15-20 minutes until we saw our waiter again. She passed by several times, clearing tables etc and would not make eye contact so I could order more drinks. I was about to go to the bar when she finally showed up. She was very nice but also very absent. I think she may have been working the patio as well, but the other servers inside seemed to be much more attentive to their tables. The food was quite good. I enjoyed the Chicken Fried Steak and eggs quite a bit. I was a little disappointed by the spartan amount of sausage gravy and I asked for the poached eggs medium (firm white and runny yolks), but as in every restaurant, they served be extremely runny whites and yolks. The biggest turn off, however, was the 2% "Operational charge" on the bill. Boulder County now has a minimum wage for tipped employees at $16.82 as well as the expectation of a 20% tip, yet restaurants have the gall to charge these additional fees so that their customers, not the business support their employees. Raise the prices of your products by 2% to cover operational costs like any other business. It is very off-putting to ask your customers to pony up additional funds separately to support your business. When I see these add on charges I will not be supporting your business in the future.

A real hidden gem in Erie…read more 24 Carrot Bistro is a farm to table restaurant in Erie Colorado making fantastic dishes from local seasonal ingredients. I've been wanting to check this spot out after visiting the equally fantastic Birdhouse close by. We came for brunch on a Sunday, and while they are busy, seating is readily available. First, I have to say that the drinks are fantastic. I got the 24 Carrot Magic, a tequila based drink made with carrot juice. It is perfectly balance and dang smooth. A really perfect drink for brunch. I ordered the Grilled Shrimp and Grits and my wife got the special of the day, chicken and biscuit. The portion size is perfect for both dishes. For the Grilled Shrimp and Grits, the shrimp were perfectly cooked, plump, and juicy and the grits were buttery without being too rich and oily, which perfectly complimented the shrimp. The andouille sausage adds a perfect salty bite to the dish, and the fresh greens and crispy noodle rounds out the dish. As for the chicken and biscuit, the dish came out hot and juice. The biscuit is glazed with a jalapeño honey which compliments the dish perfectly. The biscuit has a nice crisp to it but still fluffy and buttery inside, and I think it's one of the better biscuit in the Denver metro area. The chicken is juicy and perfectly seasoned. Overall, 24 Carrot Bistro is a fantastic restaurant. The brunch menu has many attractive options, and I definitely will be back to try dinner. Additionally, as a farm to table restaurant, their menu changes seasonally and by their dishes on Instagram, this is definitely a restaurant I could see myself returning to check out new seasonal menu items.
