Torn seats, smelled like smoke, not cleaned from previous renters. ISSUES- A/C did not work. Stabilizer were broken and I had told the salesperson that was important to me to have. Generator would only work in small spurts, so there was no back up a/c available while traveling. Fridge never got cold, had to keep ice in it to keep food cold. When I reach out no one returns a phone call. Now they've had my deposit for over a week and no one answers the phone or calls me back. Don't risk your family's vacation to these people! Bait and switch, horrible customer service.

Good customer service experience. When I picked up the van, the gentleman who helped me was wonderful-- very courteous and helpful, showing me where the gas tank was, explaining how to return the car after hours and making sure I was set up for success (I was supposed to return my car after 6 and they closed at 5) He even showed me where I could park because I was going to leave my car there. So far, I'm loving my experience with U-haul. I'm thinking, wow- I should rent a U-haul every weekend! Then, it all starts to go wrong. I go back to return my u-haul. And admittedly, I was returning it a couple of hours after I was due to be back. That's my bad. However when I returned, the Uhauls were all parked and fully blocking my car in. I could not get my car out. I tried to call u-haul and couldn't get anyone on the phone. I'm single, I'm female, I'm in a dark parking lot--- not great. I left a note in the mail box where I was supposed to return my keys explaining the situation, and asking for someone to call me ASAP. So, this meant I had to drive all the way back to my sister's, and stay the night there vs. going home to LA (which I really needed to do because of an early morning appointment) Anyway, never received any call from anyone. So I went in at 10am the next day. Two people were behind the counter, neither particularly engaged or welcoming (unlike the people from the day before who were awesome) -- and when I explained the situation and why I was having to return the van 12 hours late-- no apologies for the inconvenience (couldn't care less) and had the audacity to tell me it was okay I returned the car late and did I want a receipt. Such an awful CS experience. At the very least there should be lines and directions of parking so people don't block others in. No one said that I had to be out of the car park at a certain time, everyone knew I was coming back after hours.... Crazy.
