The burger was drizzled with a sweet and tangy sauce that had hint of Bourbon. The chips may have been homemade, I'm not sure, but there were plenty of them. Everyone in our group ordered the prime rib (except me), which came with a solid soup and salad bar. We shared an appetizer sampler that included some good mozzarella sticks and jalapeno poppers. I opted for the walleye sandwich. Although plain in presentation, it was delicious and a large portion. I went with the house-made fries which were thin and crispy instead of the frozen crinkle cut (someone in our group who tried both said they preferred the house-made). My significant other chose the hash browns with his prime rib - we both agreed these were delicious. I tried a few bites of the prime rib as well, and I thought it was good. All-in-all, we had a good experience at The Rivers. The service was great, the atmosphere was traditional, and the food was good. The food was a little on the pricey side ($20/plate), but the portions were definitely large. The drinks were inexpensive; they had an old fashioned special going that night of $3.50/drink.
