I purchased a new Specialized Turbo Como 3.0 IGH E-bike from Road Runner Bike Center and I'm extremely happy with my new e-bike. Tom, Brian, and Tyler the mechanic were a pleasure to work with. I have put 185 miles on Specialized Turbo Como 3.0 IGH E-bike since my first ride on 5/25/23. I really like the Brose Motor made in Germany for Specialized E-bikes. It's quiet and has ample power for a Class I E-bike. This bike has 50 Nm of torque and it is plenty powerful on the New River Trail that I ride. I really like the Specialized Mission Control app on my iPhone that is paired to my bike. I can custom tweak the power assist settings for me. The Mastermind Display has so much information on the display screen. The Specialized Mastermind display has current time, ride time, trip distance, power assist mode, charge percentage remaining, and it has a cadence sensor. The cadence sensor lets you know if you are pedaling efficiently. I also like that this bike has an Enviola internal gear hub on the rear wheel and a Gates belt drive rather than the typical derailleur and chain drive. Shifting is so easy with a belt drive. This bike also has powerful lights on the front and rear of the bike. I love the ultra low step over frame designed for ease in getting on and off the bike. I love this Specialized Turbo Como E-bike. These guys are awesome and do a great job. They are honest and will not try to up sell you. I was told by another bike shop I needed my rear linkage bearing changed and bought the bearings ($150). Took it to the guys at roadrunner and they explained to me what was going on. The bearings are fine but I needing to clean the shock washers and the creaking is now gone. Saved a hundred bucks and tipped the guy for being straight up with me. I have been back and forth with this shop and another but this is my go to for now. Thank you for the honesty. read more

I have purchased bikes from Ted since 2008. The bikes I bought were two adult cruisers for my wife and myself, and bikes for my kids. We have all been very pleased with the quality of the bikes, with Ted's service. I'd say this is a great place to buy bikes for family type riders. The store is small and has plenty of 20 inch bikes and a few mountain bikes, so I am guessing this isn't the place for hard core road bikers or hard core mountain bikers. You can get a cheaper bike at Walmart, but remember, as soon as something goes wrong, they can't help you. read more

Left the 29er there for a derailleur cable replacement. Shopkeeper asked if he could have the bike ready on Monday - sure thing. I asked, how much will this cost? $15 he says. Awesome. He calls me Monday and asks for more time stating he is having challenges with my bike. Ok Go to pick up bike about 7 days later. Bill was $30....I said nothing and paid the man. I am not exaggerating on the price or the scope of work. Roll 29er out to parking lot to test gears....grind.......chain not on rear sprocket. Not the end of the world...Take the bike back inside and a different tech puts chain on but says he needs to adjust the derailleur. Asks me to wait...I leave the bike again. Return about 30 minutes later and observe the shop keeper and a customer in a debate about what bike wheels are hers/not hers. Take bike outside and almost get cut by the bare derailleur cable - they did not install a nicropress sleeve....rinse and repeat... read more

I love this little shop, I used to go here when it was on 67th Avenue and Deer Valley but now it is on the NE corner of 67th Avenue and Happy Valley in the Walmart Grocery Store parking lot. The old guy that runs this is always there and you can tell he loves to fix and sell bikes. I always take all my bikes to him for service or to slime my tires and even bought a bike for both my son and daughter from him. I always do my research and he always turned out to be the best deal for a quality name brand bike. Plus when you buy from him he will take care of you. He also is the cheapest place I have ever taken a bike for a service, I think sometimes he runs a special for $30! That's insane! Like I said this guy has been here forever and I dont think he ever leaves, you should stop in and say hi. read more

Sometimes the gold you seek is right in your backyard, such is the case with Roadrunner Bike Center at the corner of 67th Ave & Happy Valley Road. I'm a fairly avid rider, owning both a Specialized Mountain Bike and a Road Bike and yet I wasn't aware that I had an authorized Specialized dealer minutes from home. Sometimes you can catch a bit of an attitude at bike shops, not sure why, but it's always refreshing to find one with no egos and great help, such was the case here. I needed new tires for the Stumpjumper and got excellent advice for the type of riding I do and the terrain I usually cover. They gave me some great advice for installing the tubeless tires myself and the first ride out was excellent, love the new tires! I had to go back a few days later since Santa brought me the wrong size helmet. They didn't have the same helmet in my size and offered to order it for me. Tom, the owner, took the time to make sure Specialized had it in-stock and then showed me all of the choices they offered in case I wanted to get a different color scheme. Great service! They repair bikes as well and I'll have no hesitation to take either of my bikes there for service. They have a wide selection of bikes for all levels and a full complement of accessories and tools for DIYers. If you're anywhere remotely close to this bike shop, check them out, you'll be glad you did. read more

I would not recommend this bike shop to anyone. Less than a month ago, I bought a very expensive mountain bike. I got a flat tire in the middle of a trail on my third ride. When I took my bike to Flat Tire Bike Shop in Cave Creek, they told me that no sealant was put in my tubeless tires. In addition, they said that an air valve should have been placed. When I called the bike shop and I explained the situation, Tommy and Bryan were very condescending and disrespect without taking any responsibility. read more
