This was my first time ordering from Roadrunner Coffee. I'm not a fan of Starbucks, and while I like Dutch Bros, I enjoy trying places I haven't had before. We had an iced and a hot vanilla breve. The coffee was excellent without being overly sweet and silky from the half-and-half. We also ordered a chocolate croissant and a cinnamon roll. Both were incredibly fresh and good. Small coffee place with drive thru. We had a latte which was great and a energy drink. I was really happy that they had Lotus for energy as other ones make me jittery. I had the paradise island with diet base, sugar free pineapple and regular passion fruit. They also had food but we didn't have any this time. Friendly staff as well! When I get my hair done, there is a Roadrunner Coffee located right before I get to the Salon. So after I get my hair done, I hit up Roadrunner Coffee to get a drink however, on this last occasion, I found myself with a little bit of extra time and decided to get lunch and a drink before my appointment. I'm not certain about all locations, but this location in particular has a large dining area. The location near me on Alvernon Way doesn't have any inside dining area and it's just drive-through customers only. A few months ago I went to the drive-through and got the AZclub sandwich and a drink. It was the best Club sandwich I remember ever having. I've yet to go inside the restaurant and I've only taken advantage of the drive-through. The staff have been friendly and answered any questions that I had and made the food how I liked it. I have every intention of returning next time, I have a hair appointment. Just this week I got the drink called the Oasis which has watermelon and some other flavors in it and is a light effervescent drink. I don't remember all the ingredients. Love the variety of flavors that Roadrunner offers. I would definitely choose coming here vs other chain coffee shops thanks to the variety of flavor options, like toasted marshmallow and coconut. Which happens to be my favorite flavor combination here for an iced latte with oat milk. We've had great service where they even gave us a sample of the flavor of the month latte, which was actually really good for having lavender in it. I appreciate the drive thru because that makes it easy to pull up and order. Lastly, and most importantly, the espresso itself is tasty and strong enough to get the wake up job done. read more

Very nice neighborhood place on the north side of Tucson. I ordered the Gritty Javelina, it was fine, but maybe had to much flavor...it's probably why I stuck in with straight drip. I drank most of it and put some coffee in it from their carafes and it tasted better. I was happy with the pastries. We ordered a cinnamon bun, which wasn't overly drenched in glaze, and had good consistency - meaning a good balance between bread and muffininess :). We also tried the banana nut bread. It was a nice size, and had a not overly sweet ir overpowering taste to it. Noah had an excellent breakfast sandwich with egg cheese and bacon inside an toasted English muffin. It was also good. I like that they had plenty of board games in case you wanted to hang out. This location does have a drive through if youre looking to grab your coffee or baked goods on the go. The service was great Friendly, quick, and capable. We beat a small rush, but I couldn't tell as folks were consistently in and out. The wait time for espresso orders was never long. If you're in the area, don't be afraid to drop in or drive thru. read more

Stopped in this morning with a co-worker and had a peach, vanilla infusion. It was refreshing and a bit carbonated! Very good! I also had the breakfast burrito with sausage that was full of eggs and the perfect amount of sausage! This a great option if you're in Marana, and they have a great selection of baked goods and merch too! read more

Caffeine might explain why those little roadrunners are so fast. Needing to recharge after hiking at Catalina State Park, Emily and I dropped into Roadrunner Coffee to do just that. We got there around 9:30am and the place was busy. Their drive-thru was booming and while there was no line inside, over half the tables and seats were occupied. That gave me the good hope that this place has some great coffee. Emily and I both got the Jittery Javelina, which is a blend of caramel sauce and vanilla syrup. I don't typically get sweet coffee drinks but after so many Americanos, my taste buds needed the bitter break. We also got a chocolate croissant to go with it. We honestly stumbled through ordering, both Emily and I probably giving the barista a mild aneurism due to our tiredness and lacking caffeine. The barista took it all in stride and helped us get our order in. We took a seat by the front windows and our drinks and baked treat were ready in about 5 minutes. The jittery javelina was really good. I didn't notice too much of either the caramel or vanilla ingredients but that was okay because I downed my drink in just a few minutes. Emily and I split the croissant and we both felt it was good but not great with Em liking it more than me. I'm not the biggest fan of sweet baked treats (aside from cookies) and found the croissant to be average but will hit the spot if it sounds good to you. They had a free little library in there and I couldn't stop looking over the books while trying to have small talk with Emily. They also had some board games to play with friends and family. Overall, I really liked Roadrunner Coffee Co. They do seem to cater to more of flavored or specialty drinks but they do have a normal menu if black coffee is more your vibe. I'm so glad I went into the actual business today because it'll be my last time. I love the bagels, especially the cheddar Jalapeño with cream cheese and pesto. Unfortunately, where they went wrong was with drinks. I ordered an iced latte. I asked for four shots of espresso. I watched them make my drink and they pulled espresso out of a pitcher from the fridge. She measured in a shot glass and then added more by eye. When I asked if they pull shots fresh, instead of letting them sit and die. She didn't know what I was talking about and said they "make a lot of espresso at once and only do it fresh if asked." What? I've never heard of that in my life. I would encourage these baristas to try a fresh shot and then a dead shot, then rethink your practices. The drink tasted like sweetened car battery acid. I unfortunately would not recommend a coffee shop that prepares espresso this way. read more

Months later, I still enjoy coming here. It tastes much better in person-ordering off doordash is not the same since a lot of times the drinks and foods are not great tasting once they arrive. The service and selections are still great here at this location, the taste of the food is fresh and warm, the drinks I have tried are still very good and made to specifications. I enjoy their teas and their lotus drinks from time to time and they have always been tasty. It's still a bright fun place to visit, with games, books, and wi-fi for us college students. read more

Roadrunner is such a cute coffee shop that we discovered when staying up the road at the Ritz. We were looking for a local coffee shop and instantly we parked and went into the explore RR Coffee. The interior is spacious for a coffee shop. There was plenty of seating and the bathrooms were open down the hall. The outdoor small patio seemed to be most popular amongst the early risers. There were Only a couple of tables on the front patio when we arrived. The staff were nice, just extremely busy as they had walk ins and a drive through that pulled their staff away. I really liked their vanilla iced latte and iced teas. Large menu selection for such a small coffee shop, sometimes makes it difficult to know what to pick. read more

Saw this little shop when I dropped my dog off at the vet and figured it would be a good place to wait rather than just sitting in my car in the July heat. So glad I did. What a cute coffee house! Roomy interior with lots of place to sit, friendly staff, large and tasty looking pastries and really good coffee drinks, Not bitter like Starbucks and not as sweet as Dutch Bros but smooth and flavorful. I got an iced Crème Brule and a bear claw. The crème brûlée coffee had white chocolate, Carmel and vanilla. As a added bonus since it's Thursday they offer a free added shot to any drink. They offered to warm the bear claw for me me (yes please!) and I have to say, it was one of the best I've had in recent memory, plenty of shaved almonds and generous filling. Now that I know they're here, I won't dread the visits to the vet quite as much. read more

I was visiting a friend in Marana and this was the closest coffee shop I could find! It is in a strip mall so there is plenty of parking. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. I got the cheese danish and my friend got the cherry danish! Both were tasty and filling. They had a lot of different pastries to choose from if you want a snack with your drink. I got an iced vanilla latte which was lovely to sip on outside on the patio during a hot day. Service was quick and staff were friendly. Everything tasted good and I'm happy to have checked out a local coffee shop in town during my trip! read more

I ran into this place because I had a few errands to run and needed a caffeine fix. What's so hot about this coffee stop was a freshly brewed Jittery Javalina. Truly sweet and satisfying. I also ordered an avocado toast. Oh my! The everything seasoning just gave that avocado toast the right kinda bite. Their menu has loads of speciality concoctions to enjoy. She informed me that I could manually enter my card number so thankfully I had it memorized. . Locally owned coffee shops on the Northwest side of town are hard to come by. Roadrunner is among the few! Much like everywhere in Tucson, it's located in a little strip mall. There is plenty of parking a drive-thru and currently offer carry out and local delivery via doordash. Roadrunner is not strictly a coffee shop, they have a small breakfast and lunch menu in addition to pastries. For the coffee and tea drinker, it looks like there is something for everyone- From drip coffee to cold brew, seasonal drinks, your standards, such as espresso, lattes, etc. I was pleased that they also carry various plant-based milks (dairy alternatives) such as almond, oat, soy. My friend enjoyed her ice latte. I ordered an iced oat milk matcha latte but it was extremely sweet for my taste. I could have and should have asked what type of oat milk they use and if they add any sweeteners. I personally like the natural flavor of Matcha and enjoy an oat milk latte with the smallest dash of vanilla or maple syrup. Dairy alternative milks usually come with a lot of sugar added, so I should have inquired more about how they make it. Next time, I'll ask more questions before ordering. If you're looking for a good place to safely social with a friend, they have a patio. During my visit, patrons were also seated inside, so you have the option to choose indoor or outdoor seating! read more

I've ordered it twice, they put a very thin layer of (what appears to be not fresh)sour avocado across a piece of toast. I go here almost everyday. I'm leaving a review now because the consistency is not there. I always order a small decaf with the cdb and a medium with cbd. Sometimes its decaf, sometimes it not. sometimes its a medium and a large, sometimes I don't get the cbd, which was yesterday(very upset about this). The first few times the coffee lids cracked and spilled all over my car. Happened about 3 times before i began ordering my coffee with an inch of room. Now this morning, im the first one there getting there at the moment they opened at 6 am, my decaf tastes like yesterday's coffee, burnt and old. My order came so quick there is no way that decaf was fresh.....whats the deal? So disappointed. Their muffins are so good but I'm so sick of a decaf coffee (black btw) being a tricky task for them to get right. Once again im So bummed about this burnt coffee. The espresso here tastes great, has a slight peanut butter taste to it. One of my favorite places in Tucson to get an iced latte. They also have a really nice selection of hot/iced teas here. If you are doing gluten free, they have a bar that is pretty good. There is plenty of seating here and a nice patio area in the front. read more

Went to Roadrunner in hopes of finding a good local coffee joint, and left disappointed. To start we got a Nitro and White mocha and both were foul tasting. The nitro didn't have ice which was a bit odd. The white mocha tasted like some drip coffee with a little bit of cream- no flavor at all. Then we ordered some sandwiches, the eggs look (and taste) like they came straight from mcdonalds. And to end it off, the service was not good at all. No acknowledgement after asking how their morning was going, very cut and dry person at the window. We still decided to leave a cash tip and there was no acknowledgment for that either. Service is always super friendly, both to-go and eat in! Lots of options for baked goods, sandwiches and snacks. I really loved their prickly pear tea that they offered as a specialty drink! I can't speak to any of the specialty drinks, because I only get plain black coffee or sometimes plain iced tea. These are always good, as are the prices & service. What I do have issue with is the inconsistency of the food. Last time I was in I got a bagel with cream cheese. It was superb - a soft, lightly toasted bagel topped with a generous spread of cream cheese. This morning I got another bagel - total 180 from the bagel I had last time. This bagel was tough & rubbery, to the point that I could not bite a chunk off. I'm guessing it was stale, maybe from the same batch I had 2 weeks ago. I've had similar experiences with other food items there. They can be excellent one day, & mediocre the next. This inconsistency is my only complaint. I will continue to come here for my drink cravings (& because it's very convenient to my neighborhood), but I don't think I'm as likely to order food. read more
