Just before 5 pm I needed a tow for my sisters car from a rather seedy area of Fairfield. I called several tow companies and decided to use Roadrunner Tow. I was told the driver was on a call but would be at my location in 30 to 45 minutes. After an hour and 15 minutes I called the number back. This time "Will" answered and told me he had not been dispatched to my location and had no idea I was waiting. After an sincere apology He promised to be there in 15 minutes. In 10 minutes he pulled up. We talked for a couple minutes about what was wrong with the car and where I needed it towed to. He loaded that car up in 5 minutes! Clearly a real professional. (We were in a small but busy strip mall lot). Somehow he beat me to my house in Vacaville and was in the process of off-loading the car when I pulled up. He discounted the price I was originally quoted in a further effort to apologize for my long wait. Will is a true professional and I sincerely appreciated his kind, friendly nature! read more

Read the reviews! One of my company's work trucks got stranded about 70 miles from home. I made the mistake of calling them for a tow. I told them I would be paying by credit card for the tow. When they finally arrived to pick up the truck, they demanded my employee pay them cash or they wouldn't take him. He got me on the phone and I told them I would be paying by credit card, he said he couldn't take it over the phone and i would have to meet him to do the credit card in person to get my employees cash back! (I have a feeling he only demanded payment up front because they were Mexicans). I called the office and asked why I wasn't advised of this policy when I booked the tow, and I was told that they were just a dispatcher and the office was closed. On top of all that, he left the passengers stranded in Fairfield 75 miles from home! We had to pay another employee, overtime on a Saturday to go retrieve them. I will NEVER use this company again. Nor would I recommend that anyone patronize this company. Their behavior was totally unprofessional and reprehensible. read more

I locked myself out of my car in front of the bank tonight. After waiting for another company to show up for an hour and a half, called Roadrunner. They were there within 8 minutes and were friendly, professional and efficient. I couldn't be happier. I won't ever call another company again, seriously. I have State Farm Ins. and they even billed my insurance for the charge so I didn't have to deal with that either. They really made a stressful situation melt away!! read more

Mike from roadrunner towing got to me and my vehicle very swiftly! He got my car up in the air and out on the road in no time. Took my vehicle home safe and sound and parked it perfectly! Fuel pump went out on the truck while towing trailer on the 12 after dark in a hard to locate place. Called AAA, Mike from roadrunner found us, dropped the truck at the dealer just in time before they locked the gate, and even went out of his way to drop me and my 2 kids off safely at our home. Kevin Claude was great. My 1995 Honda Oddeyssey broke down on 1-80 in the middle of the day. Kevin, from Roadrunner towing, showed up right on time as stated by Tripple A, loaded up the van in less than 10 minutes and drove me home 30 miles within 40 minutes. Kevin was very nice and pleasant and even looked under the hood of the van to see the cause of the breakdown and saw that the radiator was shot and recomended what to do. BEWARE!!!!!!! THIS IS A TRUE STORY... this past weekend at the Westfield shopping center in Fairfield, CA around 11pm my friend and I were stranded due to my car's battery. I called my AAA roadside service who in turn dispatched the call to Roadrunner Tow in Fairfield. We were elated to see how fast the tow truck got to us, but to our DISMAY the tow driver said he could not jump my battery from fear of blowing out my car's computer system (I have a BMW). I then told him I would like to have the vehicle towed to my residence in Pittsburg and he stated that he was the only driver for the night and he got off at 12am...by now it was 11:47pm. I was bewildered because this is a 24 Hour tow service who IS contracted with AAA (24-7) program; he then stated he would need to call dispatch...he got in his truck and I got inside my car, while I was on the phone with AAA the tow truck driver SPED OFF...I mean literally!!!! He never cam back to the vehicle to discuss anything, he just left us STRANDED! Prior to him getting in his truck to call dispatch, I had asked if he could at least take us to my friend's vehicle which was parked on American Canyon Road about 15 minutes away so that we could get to a safe place and I would deal with my vehicle the next day; He told me he could not do that because he had GPS on his truck and dispatch would not allow him to do so unless he was towing my vehicle to my residence or a facility. REMEMBER; he had just told me he could NOT go to my residence in Pittsburg because he was off in a few minutes and he was the only driver for that night...so now, we're in panic mode because it doesn't look anything we are suggesting is a good idea for him. The short of the story is, this guy told a BLATANT BOLD FACE LIE!!!!!!! I was on the phone with AAA dispatch when he sped off and that was NOT the case. After reading other stories on this site, which involves AAA members; it appears there is a common theme and that is this company does NOT treat AAA members with ANY respect! Not to mention that they don't have any morals or customer service training, who cares that you get off in 10 min. when you are with a customer everyone knows you don't just disconnect a call, walk off the sales floor OR SPED OFF IN YOUR TOW TRUCK just because you don't want to put in the overtime!!!!!!! You make sure that the customer can be taken care of by someone else before you clock out IDIOT!!!!! Needless to say, I am beyond irritated and as a result, there will be HELL to pay for this...no one should have to experience something like this. Then AAA spoke with the same tow service and they said they would send another driver out to assist us this was at 12:25 am, THAT DRIVER NEVER SHOWED UP!!!!!! We had a cab company pick us up and now it was almost 3 am. BELIEVE ME THIS IS NOT OVER!!!!!! Hopefully consumers reading this WILL NOT USE THIS COMPANY especially if you are a AAA member, they deserve to lose their contract with AAA! I've had to deal with this company in the past when my spouses vehicle was pushed off the interstate. They were fast and easy to work with. However, once they have your vehicle they are less then safe. I've had multiple experiences with the drivers hogging the road, today was the worst. It's 4:30 in the afternoon (today as I typed this as soon as I got home) coming down Peabody Road between Travis AFB and Vacaville. A flatbed tow-truck hauling a Volvo Cross Country was speeding around, weaving in and out of traffic and cutting in from turn only lanes at the last second just to get ahead of others. I was one of those others and nearly had my little compact car crushed by his mindless antics. Further down the road at the intersection of Peabody of Beelard, he cut off ANOTHER small car. And that's just what I was able to see from where I was in the traffic flow. After this, I'll gladly pay extra for a different company to handle my vehicle if the need arises. read more
