This is another great midtown coffee spot. A cozy cafe in an old brick warehouse has that cofeehouse feel you want on a weekend morning. I came in with friends on a Saturday and it was the right amount of busy but not loud and crowded. I ordered an iced Chai and it was pretty good. The spices seemed to settle at the botom of the cup but it was tasty. The cafe menu items look good, but I didn't see any GF options so I didn't get to try any. read more

Asked for real cups and they remade our drinks when they were placed in to go ones. Had the quiche of the day. Spinach and feta. Nice crust with phyllo dough. No seasoning in the actual egg part. Friendly staff and wonderful ambiance. I miss the days of lingering at coffee houses and this one actually creates a welcoming ambiance in it's chic space to do so. The coffee itself is good, but I wouldn't necessarily call it a standout. That said, the staff is always friendly, service is quick, and I have an ongoing emotional attachment to their fig, brie, and ham sandwich. That sandwich single-handedly got me into brie, so credit where credit is due. The Caesar lettuce wrap, though (pictured)? I'm not sure what happened there. What a cute café! It's located next to a new bookstore and what says "Sunday Reset" better than a coffee and a book? Roamer just keeps getting better! The coffee was great as always. They added a breakfast burrito to the menu and I I have yet to see another coffee shop provide a fresh breakfast burrito on the menu at a reasonable price that is actually good. It was delicious and the salsa on the side made it even better. You can tell the owners really care about their customers and are consistently thinking about what they can do to keep improving. Last time I was here, I picked up the cinnamon coffee syrup for my at home coffee and it was great as well. Today is also a hot day and the AC is pumping with great music! Love it! I already miss this coffee shop - the drinks were absolutely delicious. I genuinely enjoyed everything we ordered: the Cloud Nine (a marshmallow matcha), an iced eggnog flat white, and a hot campfire latte. My favorites are listed in that exact order. The matcha had a strong, authentic flavor, and the marshmallow balanced it out perfectly without overpowering it. The barista was incredibly kind and even offered to add more eggnog to the flat white, which we happily accepted - so delicious. The campfire latte was also so nice and made me feel warm and cozy with every sip. All of the drinks were reasonably priced, which made the experience even better. The vibe inside was cozy and inviting, with beautiful natural light from the windows and a spacious layout. It feels like a great spot to get some work done or catch up with a friend. I'm not sure if I came in on an off day but I noticed when I walked in someone holding an iced matcha. The color of the drink looked lighter. I always get their cloud nine which is matcha with marshmallow syrup. I ordered it and it sadly confirmed what I saw when I walked in, either they're using less matcha powder or downgraded their matcha :( For almost 9 dollars I would expect better! This one's a little tough for me to write because I've seen this place across a few different chapters, but I'll keep it to the experience. Stopped in recently to try the house drip. First thing, the sourcing is there. Beans felt well selected and in the right lane from a green coffee standpoint. That part is clear. Where it fell short for me was the roast. It came across a bit underdeveloped and flat, lacking the clarity and structure you'd expect from coffee at that level. Nothing offensive, just not quite dialed. The space itself feels like it's in between identities right now. There are still remnants of the Handcraft days, mixed with the newer Roamer direction, and it reads a little clunky. Not fully resolved. Service and overall vibe were fine, just didn't feel especially cohesive. Left feeling like there's potential here, especially with the sourcing and scale they're working with, but it hasn't fully come together yet. read more

I love the Roamer location in Sparks and this one is just as great! Very cool spot located in the midtown/downtown area. We stopped in here right before closing. We were so lucky and they were so nice to serve us just minutes before closing. Huge shout out to the two nice young women for doing that for us. We ordered two matchas. Each was good. I love their syrups that they use here. Since it was close to closing time, their weren't many pastries left, but my brother did pick up a chocolate croissant and really enjoyed it. Always come here if I need to focus on a project - they have the best seasonal lattes (just had one called strawberry fields and it was a strawberry matcha latte ) and even a food menu (my favorite is the ham Brie and fig panini yum). There's tons of seating and almost every table has an outlet even the bar counters and the sofa chairs in the back- great for computer work and charging all the gadgets. When I saw the sign outside change from Hand Craft to Roamer, I was so sad thinking another local treasure had gone out of business. On my visit today, I realized it's the same owners and delicious coffee with new branding. I highly recommend trying my favorite sandwich, the Brie, ham and fig. I love trying out their seasonal lattes as well...I have yet to try one that isn't delicious! The coffee is exceptional quality and the flavoring is never overpowering or too sweet. Also, this is the cutest spot to sit for a coffee date or go out to the spacious courtyard when the weather permits. Love all the plants and decor! This is a pleasant little spot, very cozy and stylish. And I can see why lots of people enjoy this spot, as it's very convenient and located in a busy section of town where you definitely feel the want for a good coffee house to stop in at. All in all, it was a pretty nice visit. The drip coffee was decent, if a bit on the lukewarm side. And while I think the breakfast burrito needed a bit more spice to it, it was nevertheless a good size for the price and very filling. Plus, the staff were very prompt and polite. As a few last notes, do be careful of the parking, as the lot is narrow and it turns out onto a very busy street. And if the weather is nice, seek out the little hidden back patio area, as that is quite pleasant. read more

Happily, for a place emphasizing its coffee, Roamer has a nice range of loose leaf specialty teas. Food menu is a bit limited and the oatmeal was bland, but a nice range of bagels and pastries. Down a star because they serve tea lattes with the bag still in, so when you remove the bag, half the milk foam goes with it. Service was excellent today and the vibe was perfect with music playing in the background soft enough where I could still have a conversation with my daughter to catch-up. I've driven by this place for years and finally stopped in the other morning, I'm glad I did. Roamer Coffee House is the perfect spot to kick off your day or keep it going. In true cowboy spirit, it's a great place to grab a classic cup of joe, but don't be fooled, they offer a full range of espresso drinks too. Leaning into that Nevada aesthetic, the shop features plenty of old-Nevada and western-style art. A thoughtful local touch: they use locally made chocolate sauce for their mochas. We visited on a chilly November morning, and the barista couldn't have been more welcoming. They walked us through the seasonal offerings, including the Bananas Foster and Pumpkin Spice lattes. I do wish the Bananas Foster had a bit more banana flavor, but it was still good, I might just ask for an extra pump next time. Whether you're grabbing a quick morning coffee and pastry or settling in for a bit to get some work done, Roamer Coffee House is worth the stop. read more

Came to Hand Craft Coffee early on a Monday morning. Beautiful and newer building with charismatic and modern decor including fresh plants throughout the room and plenty of seating areas with tables. I had driven past this location multiple times - it is easy to miss. I personally had not seen it until my husband told me about it. The back patio in the building is also a perfect place to relax. I ordered one of their seasonal drinks, a Banana Mocha with an extra shot of espresso and the Turkey Pesto sandwich on a hot pressed sourdough. Coffee was strong and not too sweet. I dislike very sweet coffees, as I want my coffee to not be overpowered by sweeteners. The banana flavor did not overpower but was subtle and perfect. I was disappointed they did not have many sugarfree flavor options for those that cannot have sugar. The hot pressed Turkey Pesto sandwich was delightful. The cheddar with the turkey patty and egg with spinach and greens was just what I needed to start my day. Would highly recommend. There were two males working that morning. I did not feel that the service was as warm and friendly as other local coffee shops - but I would be willing to come back and given them another chance.
