The lady even asked if we wanted waffle fries, which we said yes. Sodas come in cans, so just an FYI for that. $29 later, we get home and so not impressed. Neither of us got our waffle fries. We were both looking forward to them as we drove home. The burrito tastes just of syrup. No chicken or waffle flavor. The spicy chicken only tasted of the ghost sauce, which was actually flavored very well. The jalapenos were spicy and crunchy. Again, the chicken has ZERO flavor. It was about 9:00 am on a Saturday and we decided to try this place out for my birthday. We ordered the Sampler-waffles and my husband ordered the Green chile cheese waffle. First off the waffles were cold, not not even warmed properly from the griddle they used to re-heat them. These waffles are notFresh cooked at all. You could see the bag of premade (probably from the day before) waffles to be re-heated on waffle griddle the counter. All the toppings were delicious and fresh. But the actual waffles were a huge disappointment, and for Waffles being a specialty we were hugely disappointed as they were basically garbage. The table we sat at and most of the tables were sticky. My husband had to go get a towel and some water from the restroom. The employees were playing explicit rap music, and we really should-of turned around then. This place was better than I would have ever expected!!! They have tons of Tesla chargers so that is the awesome by itself lol...the restaurant just seemed like a coffee and snack shop but they had so much more!!! I ordered a chicken and waffle burrito which was seriously one of the best things I ate my entire road trip! My husband had their chicken tacos which of course I had to try for good measure and it was delicious!!! My daughter got their cheesy potatoes and they were cheesy all right! They were so so good! I wish they would have one of these Roasted Roosters closer to where I live!!! I don't think it's a chain but they should really look into making it a chain! The flavors were spot on and it wasn't greasy like most of your "quick stop" restaurants. I am not kidding it was amazing and everyone should try it!!! Even if you don't have to use their charger...the food and drinks would be worth it! My daughter got their lavender matcha latte and she said it was better than the Starbucks one she gets daily hahaha. The staff were also super friendly. It felt like a small neighborhood joint. They were busy when we got there around lunch time and it was just two girls working and cooking but they got the food out pretty quickly and we were able to order and eat in the short 30-35 minute charging stop. I love dogs, but in a food establishment only service dogs should be allowed. This morning as I was having an enjoyable breakfast a dog inside the restaurant was barking non stop. I had been coming to this location to charge my uh hum yes, Tesla, prior to the business opening. As others have mentioned, there are a lot of Tesla chargers here and I should note, they were here long before the business. However, there is an adjacent lot where other vehicles can park as well. The business owners and employees are so welcoming! Even allowing us to use the restroom while charging before they opened for business. The restaurant is modern and nicely decorated. It's always so clean and the staff are so sweet! I love their waffles and especially the bacon, egg, and cheese. It's classic and delicious! My favorite drink so far is the butter pecan latte. As far as price, you get what you pay for and this service and food is worth every penny! read more

I'm intrigued by this restaurant. We had wonderful service, the food had cool combinations and I wanted to be head over heels because it was so cute. I split the chicken and waffles and a hash brown waffle fries. My dad got the chicken and waffle burrito. If I do mine again, I would leave the peanut butter sauce off. It didn't add to the dish. It was tasty, although the chicken nuggets on top were dried out and absolutely could be better. So on to the burrito. Its presentation was fantastic! The burrito it rolled inside of a crispy cheese shell. That was a good start. However the chicken nuggets inside were Sahara Desert dry too. My dad ate half and decided he did not want to take the other half home. That's not his norm, he almost always likes leftovers. Had the chicken been better in both meals, I would have given them a much better rating. I'm willing to try it again, sometimes perfection isn't achieved on the first try. read more

We decided to try out the new restaurant: Roasted Rooster Coffee & Waffles today. This location has a unique concept (coffee tea and waffles). They do have chicken, bacon and brisket to add to their sandwiches, made with waffles. My wife had a half order of waffles with strawberries, and I had their Frito pie (beans, corn, red and green chiles, brisket and Fritos). The waffles and the Frito pie were very good. When we first arrived, there was a line waiting to order and there was a shortage of empty tables and chairs, but by the time we had placed our order, a table was vacant for us. We noticed that the ordering line was short went we went to leave, so timing plays a big role. Service was fine and the country/ "rooster" decor was nice. read more

Had to do a quick stop while on a long drive. Needed coffee. And got some food. Hubby said the waffles were pretty good! The tacos welllllllll I think could have been better. The corn tortillas tasted like they warmed them in a microwave and then tried to toast them. Ended up making them hard and stale. I wanted pork tacos but they were out so had to settle for chicken. But the chicken was dry. :/ the flavor was tasty but with dry chicken and tough tortillas - difficult to say it was good. Blah! The girl at the front must have been new bc she actually had to ask if the tacos were with corn or flour. Also my "latte" had a picture of a HOT latte and she got me cold brew! Yuck. oh well. The food is okay. The recently seem to have increased the prices. It's greasy and quick food so it doesn't make sense to up the charges but I get it in times of recession. The one thing that concerns is me how the ambiance is. It's a coffee shop and the employees can see that there are some people eating and studying and yet the music is so loud. Despite giving feedback on two different occasions, I found that they still haven't fixed it. I feel like they lose a good customer base of students because of their music issues. Most people end up at grounded or milagro because they end up giving a good coffee shop vibe over this disco style music. They are open on sundays when most coffee shops are closed. It's the shame that they never fixed the music issues or they could have had my business every Sunday. read more

The two times I have been in, the service is slow and the employees acted like they just didn't care you were there. It takes forever for an order to come out, one couple got one entree, then their drinks, then another entree...they looked upset too. My scoop of ice cream took 15 minutes and then they called the wrong name for it. The chicken is baked and not fried on the waffles. The choice of just ordering a basic cup of coffee or tea that doesn't have 20 ingredients seems to confuse the counter staff. Perhaps they just want to be fancy because it's a Tesla charging station. I just want pleasant service and a cup of coffee quickly. Ya won't get either here. Certainly not worth my time for the price of their food and the haphazard way they deliver it. Hire some folks who like customer service and can handle a kitchen. read more

I have ordered coffee and food at this restaurant more than five times. One of the employees is consistently apathetic and doesn't understand the difference between cold brew and an Americano. Twice now, he says they have cold brew but delivers an Americano because they're out of cold brew. I don't know why he wouldn't simply say that they're OUT of cold brew. The panini I ordered was flat as a pancake and unappetizing. My partner ordered a waffle and he said it was like they warmed it up in a microwave. You know the texture that breads get when you overheat them in the microwave? Yes, it was chewy and hard at the same time. Coffee and tea drinks are okay. Food is sub par. Love the Tesla chargers! They have a drive thru window, and it gets crowded inside on Sunday mornings. The decor is upscale modern, not Cracker Barrel like someone said. There's a variety of seating from a large table, several small ones high and low, and a counter facing the window, so you can watch your Tesla charging! I don't eat all the fancy and cleverly named sweet waffles for kids, but the Rooster Rojo is a cornbread waffle with shredded chile pork. Delicious! I also had the local pecan flavored Buttercup latte. Delicious too! Service is very pleasant and works well together in a small space. Makes a nice stop at the crossroads. read more

I don't mind the progressive/liberal bent of this establishment. I ordered decaf. They claim their order of decaf has been delayed for months. Every store on the continent carries decaf. They could get it at any number of outlets within a few minutes drive...but they always have marijuana. read more

I've been curious about this place since they opened and finally made it to have breakfast. The store is lovely, very clean decor, very warm ambiance (even though it was a bit cold in there). This could be a really special place. The service was good. The cashier was helpful with the menu and very friendly and bright. The food.....the food is where I got hung up. We had the Baked Chicken & Waffles and a chai tea. First, The chai was good, but hyper-sweet, like a chai syrup was used instead of a good chai mix. The waffle was cold and absolutely nothing special, in fact we saw one of the employees hauling in boxes of Krusteaz waffle mix. Krusteaz is a decent brand to use at home, but a restaurant? The 'breaded baked chicken' was packaged chicken nuggets that I think had been warmed up, but can't be sure, and the dish description said it is served with maple syrup, which was Smuckers maple flavored high fructose corn syrup, and hot sauce, which was Frank's. I ended up buying a bottle of the syrup from a local company they had for sale, just to have something other than high fructose corn syrup. This place could be something so special, with fresh crispy breaded chicken bites, true maple syrup, a hot sauce made in the chile capital of the world, all snuggled on a good, made-from-scratch waffle (it's not hard). I want this place to be a first-class restaurant, but they don't make food, they put together processed stuff. Las Cruces needs better restaurants. Please be that change! read more

The coffee is a little over priced at $8 for a large. Speed of service is slow and the ambiance is ok if you want to hang out. Not a place I would go out of my way for, albeit it's outta the way.
