Roasted Tinto is a Colombian bakery and coffee shop. It's kind of hard to see the restaurant from the road (I drove past it unknowingly) but if you see the laundromat you're in the right place. Roasted Tinto is attached to the North Tryon 2 Laundromat and I believe both businesses are owned and operated by the same family. The cafe isn't large but there's a good amount of seating inside and a few tables outside. I tried the chicken empanadas and they were delicious. Lots of filling and a perfectly fried crust on the outside. I think they are fairly priced at $2.30 per empanada. For drinks I tried their seasonal options, The White Chocolate Ube Latte and the Blueberry Refresher. I definitely enjoyed the latte over the refresher. The white chocolate and Ube flavors make a wonderful pairing. The blueberry refresher fell a little flat for me, club soda and blueberry syrup is simple enough but maybe some mint or other accompaniment could make it better. They also sell Colombian snacks, drinks and candy. There are small parking lots for patrons to use in front of the coffee shop and in front of the laundromat. I think some patrons were able to park on the side of the building also. The staff were very friendly and even walked orders out to patrons that decided to wait outside of the cafe. I would definitely visit again!

This is the cutest coffee shop! We were invited to a community meeting held here and we decided to indulge in the coffee and empanadas! The coffee of course is spectacular I had a latter flavored with lavender and my husband had his flavored with caramel. Great coffee and the best atmosphere. We were able to meet with David the owner, and we were so glad we did! Listen! The star of the show is the empanadas though! Colombian empanadas just hit different! Love the community mindset of this business and how they show up and out for community!

Blueberry refresher, chocolate banana latte, and white chocolate Ube latte...YUMMY

These folks may not give you forks, but they know what they're doing! Service has always been friendly and helpful, despite how busy the line can get. The cubanos are amazing - I've gotten the original and also the BBQuban. The OG is super solid, but OMG that BBQ one is just delectable and a great texture. Trust me. Try it. They also have the best yucca fries I've probably ever had. My issue with most yucca fries is that the texture tends to be pretty tough, but these are so soft inside - like they mashed the yucca first and then formed the fries. I don't know what magic they use, but they're incredible, and you must get some. We also got a churro filled with dulce de leche, and it came out nice and hot with lots of cinnamon sugar coating. I didn't love the dulce de leche filling for some reason - maybe I got spoiled by spending time in Argentina - so next time I'll likely go for the regular churro.

Not only was every order right, cooked fresh and hot, but they brought all orders into our space so our guests didn't have to wait outside for their order. Our guests raved about the food and people are still thanking us for introducing the truck to them! They were very professional and prompt. I'd hire them again in a heartbeat for an event.

There are baked goods, desserts, and brunch and sandwich options, several of which have Dominican or other Latino roots. I had the chimi sandwich, which was delicious. A chimi is a Dominican street food, served almost like a burger, served with shredded cabbage in a mayoketchup sauce. La Dolcekca's chimi is a sandwich, and a dang good one at that. Absolutely delicious, and a sizable portion at that, served with a side of French fries. I also had a jugo de chinola (maracuya for most Latinos; passionfruit juice for non-Spanish speakers). Aside from the food being delicious, this place is adorable. This is clearly a business that someone really cares about. The decorations are super cute and feminine, with florals and several Parisian references. Bathroom is clean and tidy, as is the rest of the business. I am so glad I finally got to stop by and support this woman-owned, Latino-owned establishment. I am thoroughly looking forward to coming back soon!

It's tucked away and you probably wouldn't see it unless you were going there purposely. Once you get in, it's a very eclectic, antique, floral and colorful it's just a happy feeling when you walk into this bakery. All the different plates and tea cups that they have on the back counter behind the register are so cute. ALL the food from desserts to lunch to taking a BOX of empanadas for dinner... Everything is delicious. Nothing lacks flavor. I always come for the flan because it's the perfect texture. I could eat a whole pan. The beef empanadas go quickly so call in early if you wanna get an order in for lunch. I'm still working my way through all of the desserts so I recommend going on an empty stomach because you have lots of options to choose from. Give the drink of the month a try too!

Unique compared to some of the more general Latin options, as they really do focus on Venezuelan fare. Parking and decor a plus! All of the appetizers were amazing--we got everything except the tacos. The trio and flight options are truly the way to go here, the flavors are all different and you really need to try them all! The chimichurri here is probably my favorite of all time. The rich smoky flavor is so deep and satisfying, I've never had one so robust. I wish I had done an entree that was smothered in it!!! Next time, for sure. Don't pass on desert. The flan is just right and I appreciated the molasses flavor in the syrup, although my dining partner wished for some lime zest to lighten the dish--preferences can differ!
