I never waste my time writing reviews let alone one about a dirty gas station however this Conoco is a complete joke. I have gotten gas there before and joked with the owner about being a Lions fan so when I needed an oil change I had no doubt he could do it for me. I called to make sure they could do it on Saturday the13th around 9 am. I also asked for an estimate (not diagnosis) on the coolant fan. Never did they mention a charge for the estimate. An hour and a half later one of the 3 kids finally appeared to tell me the total amount of oil change with estimate was 107$. I explained that I didn't ask for diagnosis just an estimate and that I was never informed of being charged. He made some flippant comment how he doesn't work for free. After arguing and knowing I wasn't going to get anywhere with him I handed him a 50 dollar gift card to pay in which (of course) he had no idea what it was. Nonetheless I left before I said said or did something I regret. Unless you want to get ripped off I suggest you go anywhere else. Ron Cox read more

I hate to write this, but I was appalled with the employee/attendant working tonight, 2/20 at around 8:15PM. I had double checked to make sure the gas station was still open knowing it closed at 9. When I tried to get gas, the pump wasn't working. I went to the next one and that one didn't seem to be working either. It told me to see the attendant. When I went up the door was locked so I knocked. Instead of any kind response, the attendant yelled "WE'RE CLOSED," as if I was stupid and inconsiderate to come at this time of night. Extremely frustrated after waiting for 10 minutes trying to pump gas, and walked away. Instead of getting response or consideration that I was there I received a rude wave good bye and eyes rolled as I left. Very very very disappointed with this customer service. While I totally understand any reason for closing early, I don't respect employees being rude and condescending to the customer. I will not be coming here again for any other needs if I am going to receive service like I did with this attendant. read more

As far as I know, this is the only repair shop in Boulder that will not try to sell you service you don't need.

Rob is smart, honest, competent and very caring. He will go out of his way to help find a solution- sometimes a highly creative solution- to my car problems. Never in my life have I met a more classy and capable car mechanic. Not always the case with the guys who work the front at night. They can be abrasive, but even with that flaw, Rob's Conoco gets 5 stars, 5 very- deserved stars. Bravo, Rob. read more

A block away from the shop, my car started flashing the coolant light, beeping, and overheating, so I did a u-turn and pulled into the lot. Thankfully a bay was open and Rob took a quick look at it right away and started calling around trying to find a hose to fix the busted one. As a female, not garbed my my usual "going-to-a-new-garage" armor, and especially as I was in an emergency situation, I was prepared to deal with annoying up selling and extra suggestions about what was broken. Instead, Rob and Jon treated me with respect and went above and beyond to get the part as soon as possible and get me back on the road. Very grateful to break down so close to a shop and very grateful for the genuinely responsible service received today. I usually have my car serviced at a local Audi and VW shop but I will not hesitate to recommend Rob's and may take my vehicle there for certain jobs. I'll start buying gas there, too! Excellent mechanic at a fair price. A friend recommended this place. Subaru dealership said I needed to get the left head gasket on my '03 Outback repaired, pronto (and it would cost well over $2,000). Because of the oil and coolant leaking, they said, it was urgent and should be done immediately lest a toxic mix of coolant and oil destroy my engine. I took my car to Rob's to get a second opinion. Rob and John said the seepage was very mild, wasn't even dripping on the splash guard, and I could easily drive the car for another 30,000 miles without doing this service. They also quoted me a much better price, about 35% less than the dealership. Rob told me the signs to look for when I check my oil, look at my driveway, etc. I'm going to take my Subaru to Rob's for everything from now on. read more

I have been going to this shop for 15 years and they have always been honest and fair. In one case, my car had a a damaged oil sending unit and I thought that I may have damaged the engine. When I arrived they quoted me a certain price for diagnostics. Since the problem was obvious, they ended up only charging me $3 more for parts and labor than they had quoted for diagnostics. They could have easily convinced me that I needed a new engine. read more

Had a leaky auto transmission in an 02 PT Cruiser and it was due for an oil change. I figured that I needed a new transmission pan gasket and asked for an estimate to repair it, but in the meantime just wanted the fluid topped off. To my surprise, when I went to pick up my car, I was told "You don't need a pan gasket. Things were just loose. We tightened it all up. Should be fine." They could have told me ANYTHING... but they didn't. They were honest, and just did what needed to be done. Total charge? $56. I am a repeat customer. I don't see that changing. Thank you! read more
