Dr. Lee and his team has been an amazing dentist for our 5 year old daughter. Everyone at the office is patient and kind. They really connect with younger children to put them at ease while at the dentist. Thanks for all you do!

I brought my 10 year old daughter for a 6 month dental cleaning for the first time at this practice and now she doesn't want to go anywhere else! Where do I start?! Staff in the front desk are very courteous and polite, even though it was our first time they answered all my questions happily! Dr Lee is so friendly and respectful, even though Camila was so nervous about going back to the dentist since we suffered bad service from previous places :(. Dr Lee calmed her down quickly and made her smile constantly with his positive energy! Thank you Dr Lee! :) The lobby is accessible through a beautiful garden and through a ADA accessible ramp for easy access, the lobby has an A/C, toys for the kiddos, video games!!! And a candy vending machine! Overall for me and Camila: We definitely recommend this dental practice of Dr Lee to anyone who wants to experience an excellent dental experience!

While the practice has evolved over the years, the quality of care has remained consistently high. However, I would like to offer some constructive feedback regarding the administrative experience. It can be frustrating to be repeatedly asked to provide an insurance card that is not in my possession, especially considering our 11-year history with the office. Additionally, I have found the persistent pressure to approve treatments not covered by insurance to be overwhelming. When I decline, the subsequent process--which involves waiting to speak with someone and signing a refusal form--frequently extends what should be a routine visit into a much longer appointment than necessary. I truly value the care my son receives here and hope this feedback helps streamline the administrative process for long-term patients like us

She was never called back. By 4:45 pm, my daughter texted me to let me know that she's still waiting to be called in so i came inside to check what was going on and at that point, the receptionist stated she thought my daughter was "waiting for someone," which was confusing and concerning. If patients are required to sign in, it is reasonable to expect that the sign-in sheet is actively reviewed. Otherwise, the purpose of having patients sign in is unclear. My daughter even told me that one of the receptionist with blond hair acknowledged her when she waved hello and signed in her name so I don't understand why the other receptionist twisted things around saying they didn't know my daughter was there for her appointment and requested us to reschedule to another day. I took time off work and pulled my daughter out of school early for this appointment, only for our time to be wasted and the blame shifted onto a minor who had properly checked in. Extremely unprofessional and disorganized. We will not be returning.

I originally found this dental office just by googling a local dentist. They had really high…read morereviews. Within the first phone call, I already understood why. Dominique was very personable! She answered all my questions. Helped me navigate my son's busy schedule and the dentist available times. She was so patient. She told me Vickie would be calling to help me verify the insurance. Ms. Vickie...is the GOAT. She is so kind!! When you meet her, you feel like she's some how apart of your family?? Or like, a friend you've known a really long time. She so just...kind. Went over every detail of the bill. Made sure I fully understood and agreed with next steps. I appreciated that once in office both Dominique and Ms Vickie spoke directly to my children. Acknowledged them as the patients and as people. The office is very clean. What I appreciated THE MOST, and I told them, was their scheduling was superb. We walked in for a 1 oclock appointment, and was seen at 1 oclock. We didn't sit in the lobby waiting. There was no one in there until we left. We've been there 4 times now (kids needed some cavities filled and we spread it out for time) and each time, no one is coming until we're walking out. They have it DOWN. I appreciate people that respect my time. I hate waiting 30 min to an hour or hour. Arriving on time to sit. The technology in office was very good. The doctor was excellent. Explained everything. Give recommendations. Got the work done. I highly recommend it. And once you meet the front office, you'll know they definitely reflect the back office and the doctor. It's great here.

Vickie is super sweet and goes on and beyond to make sure everything is good with your insurance before your visit. Valerie and Dominique were also super sweet to me during my visits, they were helpful in calming my anxiety prior to treatment. They explained in detail the process and reassured me I was in good hands with Dr. Tran. Overall, the office is very clean and welcoming. My experience was marked…read moreby poor communication, scheduling failures, and a lack of attention to important patient care details. My oral surgery consultation was scheduled for 7:30 a.m. on May 20, 2026. I arrived at 7:00 a.m. and found the office closed. An employee did not arrive until 7:23 a.m. and informed me and another waiting patient that the doctors would not arrive until 8:00 a.m. We were told someone was supposed to call and reschedule us, but neither of us received any notification. I later overheard staff discussing how patients had not actually been rescheduled as claimed. The dental assistant and Dr. Kevin Dorsey were both professional, knowledgeable, and thorough. After my consultation, I was given a cost estimate and a referral for a CT scan. I was verbally instructed to fast before the procedure and complete the CT scan. No other instructions were provided. The day before my June 3 procedure, I received a voicemail stating my appointment was canceled because insurance authorization had not been completed. After being on hold for 26 minutes and disconnected, I eventually spoke with the office manager, who suggested I pay out of pocket. When I contacted my insurance company, they informed me that Dental Group of Covina had never submitted the authorization request. My appointment was canceled due to the office's failure to do its job. After filing a complaint, my appointment was reinstated. However, when I arrived on June 3rd, I was told they could not process my CareCredit account and suggested rescheduling again. Then I was asked whether I had stopped taking my medication before sedation. This was the first time anyone mentioned that I needed to discontinue medication a week before surgery. I was never verbally informed, nor was I given written pre-operative instructions. At that point, I decided not to proceed. Too many critical details had been overlooked, and I no longer felt confident in the office's ability to safely manage my care. This experience cost me significant time, multiple trips, countless phone calls, and two weeks of lost pay. Patients deserve better communication, organization, and professionalism than what I experienced at Dental Group of Covina.
