They did a great job on her nails. I know this sounds simple, but her nails grow so fast that a slight trim leaves her with painfully long nails within two weeks. Dr. Hodges examed her without hurting her: it breaks my heart when she's hurt unnecessarily during a physical exam. We waited for 30 minutes after our appointment time; I'm guessing because the Doctor was on a large animal call. We enjoyed a nice walk around the property, making the wait time beneficial. We STRONGLY advise against taking your pet here for any serious medical issues or emergency care. My boyfriend's dog became ill on Thursday, August 20th. We called and were told we could bring her in that day. After dropping her off around 4:30 PM, Dr. McCabe informed us she had pyometra and required emergency surgery. They kept her overnight on IV fluids (with no staff on-site to supervise her overnight) and scheduled the surgery for Friday morning. Following the surgery on Friday, they informed us she needed to stay another night. Saturday came, and we received no updates at all. When we drove to the clinic ourselves to check on her, we were simply told, "Oh, we meant to call." When they brought us to the back, she immediately perked up, happy, and acted completely like herself. Despite her visible improvement, the vet wanted to hold her for two more nights, setting her release for Monday morning. On Sunday, they texted us to report she was doing very well, cheerful, and walking around. We were relieved and eager to bring her home the next day. Everything changed Monday morning. First, they called to say she wasn't doing well and needed to stay longer. Two hours later, they called asking for permission to perform a plasma transfusion. We agreed, believing it would help. Less than three hours later, we received a call stating she had passed away. No explanation was provided. No insight into what went wrong, and no offer to let us come see her before attempting the transfusion. She died alone in a cage surrounded by strangers, and we were robbed of the chance to say goodbye or comfort her in her final moments. When we went to pick up her body, the vet didn't even come out to speak with us or explain what happened. To go from being repeatedly reassured that she was improving to suddenly receiving a death notification with zero transparency is completely unacceptable. PLEASE take your pets elsewhere. They deserve far better care, communication, and compassion than what this clinic provides.

The team was incredibly patient, kind, and welcoming as they introduced Maron to grooming and social experiences. They helped him build confidence around other dogs and groomers in a positive, stress-free environment, which made a lasting impact on him as he grew. Every time Maron came home from Bark Boutique, he looked absolutely amazing. His coat was brushed to perfection, he smelled incredible, and everyone commented on how handsome he looked. As a long-haired German Shepherd owner, I can honestly say they were able to get him cleaner and fluffier than we ever could at home. What stood out most was how much they genuinely cared. Communication was always excellent, and the staff was warm, friendly, and wonderful to work with every time we dropped him off. We always felt confident that Maron was in the best hands. We recently moved, and Bark Boutique is one of the things we'll miss most. We are so grateful for the care they gave Maron during his first year of grooming. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for a groomer who will treat their dog like family.

Our veterinarian, Theresa Feller, DVM was simply amazing! Theresa was thorough, asked questions and answered all our questions regarding our pet's health and we enjoyed visiting with her as she examined our miniature Schnauzer. Very friendly, professional, nice clean facility and very reasonably priced for the services we received. They accept debit/credit (as shown on our receipt), cash and I'm sure a check for those who still prefer check writing. So happy we found this Veterinary Hospital plus they are really close to home.

He was the second such cat we brought to Arden, and we expected similar same-day treatment as the first time. I was asked whether the cat was sweet to humans enough to handle him. Apparently, if you answer "yes" to this question, even if you had been guaranteed same-day treatment over the phone, you get booted and have to wait several weeks. We didn't have several weeks. You can't confine an unfixed outdoor cat, sweet or not, inside a home with twelve other indoor and indoor/outdoor cats, some of them waiting in another line for their spay surgery. It's a company policy, they said. Avoid companies with policies. We called North Concho the next minute and were admitted there in the next ten. One extra star for the low price range and another for the doctor's professionalism. They can be really nice when the patient meets their expectations. Our guide @cole was very knowledgeable and patient with all of our questions. This is a non profit that was established to rescue donkeys in need and everyone there seemed to love what they do! We saw a baby donkey a few weeks old and an older donkey who was the reason for the rescue to be started and she is still there! There are about 1000 donkeys on this rescue property, so lots to see. We will be back!
