My experience with The Creative Group has been nothing but positive! I submitted my resume through LinkedIn, and was recruited by Elaine Buhler. We had a pleasant interview over FaceTime, where she asked me what my skills are and what kind of job I'm looking for. She used this information to help match me to the best types of jobs for me. I would receive emails from her outlining job descriptions with certain companies, and I got to decide whether or not I was interested in the position. If I was, The Creative Group would then begin to advocate for me. I had two interviews with two different companies. The second interview I had, I got the job! I was recruited by Elaine in mid-January, and by late February, I was employed. Talk about fast! I'd let Elaine know ahead of time that I was interested in a temp-to-hire position rather than in doing a bunch of temp work for different companies. When it comes down to it, any company, organization or entity is all about it's people. With that in mind, there is one particular person I would like to spotlight - and that is Elaine Buhler. She is one of the kindest, most caring and (important for candidates) HARD WORKING advocates for those seeking jobs. I've shared similar experiences with the other 1 star reviews. A good FaceTime interviewed followed by 0 presented opportunities (over the course of 6 months). In addition, check-in emails and follow up emails would go unanswered 90% of the time. I suggest trying KForce or Beacon Resources instead. read more

Robert Half is one of the best agencies to work for. What sets Robert Half from other agencies is the regard and consideration it has for its employees. In my case, my recruiter--Melanie K. has always been careful about matching my skill set to long term temp assignments. Of course, this approach works well for her clients, Robert Half, and me. My assignments have been between two months and 13 months long -- to the satisfaction of all involved. Melanie understands how important a good fit is. She listens to my preferences and has never pushed me toward a position that I would not want. Consequently, I have been placed a law firms where I was likely to do a good job for the client. Of course, any agency wants to please the client first. This is understandable. But Robert Half (and especially Melanie K.) seeks to make sure that I am placed on assignments that I am likely to find interesting and enjoyable. Yes, enjoyable. This is rare. I have two "back-up" agencies which I have not had to use. There have been instances where Melanie K. has given me a choice of several available temp assignments. My back-up agencies have never come close to the level of considerateness and professionalism that I consistently experience at Robert Half. Melanie works hard for her candidates, and is considerate of our well being. I highly recommend Robert Half Legal to any skilled legal assistant who is looking for temporary employment. So, I had previously written a negative review of Office Team, which I deleted when I spoke with a member of Senior Management on the phone. He apologized for my negative experience with the agency, and not-so-timidly asked me to delete my bad review on here. I did because I felt that I had been heard by the company, and that was my goal writing the bad review in the first place. Now I know, after weeks of not being contacted by Office Team again (they said they wanted to work with me, place me, and provide good customer service as a form of apology) after that phone call, that it was all a ploy to get me to delete my negative review. Bad judgment, Office Team, and a real low way to try to rectify your Yelp page. I'm not sure if this agency thinks that they can coerce Yelpers into re-writing and deleting reviews effectively this way.. or if they are just a terrible company. Probably both. For the sake of speaking out and saying that I am definitely not okay with the way, from start to finish, that Office Team has treated me, I am going to re-write about my original experience. And sorry, Senior Management, this time I won't be scammed into deleting it. So no need to have one of your customer service agents re-message me. I originally contacted Office Team in the summer of this year after being laid off from my job. I spoke to several representatives of the company and came in for their standard interview. After a few weeks, they placed me with a company that only employed me for one month (which was disappointing, but still a good experience--at least I was working!), but gave the temp agency great reviews of me. Fast forward a few more weeks and I get a call from Shauna, one of Office Team's representatives, who tells me about a position starting the next morning. I accepted it, even though I did not interview at the company and had to be there on the fly the next morning. Shauna completed misrepresented the nature of the company and the position to me. The position made me feel very uncomfortable as I was working with the owner of the business in an isolated setting. I won't get into details, but I didn't feel comfortable staying there AT ALL. I called Shauna to tell her how I felt in the environment and she was totally uncaring, warning me that I had to finish out the day at least. I did, but then I called her yet again and told her that I could not go back to that work environment, laying out all the details for her so she knew exactly how it was unprofessional. All Shauna cared about was her "client"--the business she recklessly placed me at--not me, how I was treated, nor the tenets of the position that made me uncomfortable. She then proceeded to put me down, saying that the previous company I worked with through them gave me glowing reviews, but she guessed that didn't matter because I "couldn't hack it" at this job. Then, she told me that Office Team could no longer represent me because I violated their two week resignation policy. I know this is a load of B.S. because I kept getting emails even after the agency "terminated" me, telling me about positions that were available. I even got a call from Jordan, another representative there, with info. about a position. Confused, I explained that Shauna made it clear I was not "Office Team material", and asked them to stop contacting me. That is when I wrote my original review; when I realized that this company only cares about making money out of their candidates and at the same time does not coordinate nor communicate effectively between their departments. When I posted on Yelp, I soon got a message from Gretel, their customer service rep who asked if I would talk to management about my experience (at that time, I still needed work and was confused about whether or not I had Office Team representing me). I agreed and spoke to management, who gave me a lot of ring-around-the-rosy apologies and pompous defenses before saying they'd represent me still and oh hey! by the way, can you delete that bad review? I obliged, mistakenly thinking I'd been heard out. I stopped hearing from the agency all together after I deleted my original review. I now have full time work in my field, thankfully (which I got on my own--no help whatsoever from this sh*tty company), and no longer have to rely on corrupt, greedy agencies like this one. My advice is stay away from Robert Half Intl. Stay clear of Office Team, especially. This company doesn't care about you. They care about their "client" businesses, and if you complain, will feed you a line just to silence you. I'm truly surprised this agency has lasted as long as it has. It is companies like this that harm the American workforce because they protect their own interests and the BUSINESSES they represent. Never ever again. read more

This place is a scam. All the recruiter does is collect information through false job postings. Nader is his name; don't give out your information to them. When asked for a job description they'll blow over the question, which leads me to believe they don't have one. If you're not sure if a recruiter is trying to scam you than just go with your gut and say NO and see their reaction; a good recruiter would understand. Had a couple of phone calls with them and a 20 skype interview with another person because my original recruiter was sick which was fine. They said they would follow up with information and Jobs i may be interested in and haven't heard back in almost a month. They may just take your personal information and sell it to marketers. This agency is very unprofessional. Also, They discriminate by age and race. They took away an assignment from a friend of mine when they found out how old she is. They kept calling me for jobs bellow my qualifications. One time they called me around 4pm and said that there is an opportunity for me to start a job next day which was in another city for $12 /hr.! I am collage graduate, why do you think that I work for $12 /hr? besides, I had to just pay about that much for gas to drive back and forth. This is probably the worst temp agency I've ever come across... If I could give it a zero I would. I went through Office Team in Santa Barbara and they were very helpful and always kept in contact. When I moved to Orange County I was excited to find out that there was another location that would be close to me, but it seems I spoke too soon... I contacted the Irvine location in March. After my interview (and having to pay almost $5 dollars for parking because they were behind and don't have free parking...) I waited about a month with no response before I emailed them. They then said that they didn't know who I interviewed with, what I was looking for or how much I was trying to make. After giving them all the information I still heard nothing. I waited a few more weeks before calling them at which point another person said that my name was spelled incorrectly in their system and they had my information under my moms (what?...). By the time July came around I still had not heard from them about ANY job opportunities. Luckily I was able to find a job without their help... If you're looking for a temp agency that never calls you and doesn't really care about anything you have to say then this is the place for you, but if you actually want a temp agency that will help you find a job I would suggest looking elsewhere... read more

This was a very weird experience for me since the OfficeTeam in Downtown LA helped me out so much. I moved down to Orange County and my team in LA transferred my file over to the Irvine office and set me up with an initial interview almost immediately. I met with Erin Bergan initially and had a great first meeting. She told me of 2 opportunities that she had available that she would love to submit me for. Both positions were great and sounded really interesting and from my experience with the other office in LA, it's usually a sure thing, so I was excited to get a call confirming my assignment. However, that call never came. I interviewed in the middle of July and not ONCE did anyone from the Irvine office call me to set up an assignment for me. I see myself as a great candidate having just graduated from a reputable university and have a hard time believing that there is nothing that I qualify for or no assignments available which makes me find fault with the office. I had hoped I would've received as great a service as I did in LA but that never happened. I still haven't received a call and do not anticipate getting one again. I would NOT recommend this office. Find another placement agency. This office will not place you anywhere and will not communicate with you. read more

Do yourself a favor and find any other staffing agency besides this one. The people who work here, namely Holden and Matt pretend to be your best friend. They tell you they'll find you jobs and when it comes time for them to deliver they never do! I have been waiting since the beginning of July for Matt to get back to me and he never does. I'm diverted to Holden and he gets on the phone telling me what I want to hear. And then once that call is over with I'm back at square one. Unless you want a lot of nothing then come to Office Team. Had a recruiter call me after applying, and told me I had lots to offer with my degree and expertise. I asked if she had a position in mind for me, she said there was at least 4 or 5 HR jobs that were in my area that I would be a good fit for. Paid $8.75 to park, not fun when you're unemployed. Also, I have interviewed here twice in the past year and have been told my recruiter just entered a meeting and to meet with somebody else. They gave me a VERY basic and generic interview, it was obvious she didn't have a position in mind for me. I asked about the HR jobs that I had talked on the phone about, she said she wasn't aware of them. This recruiting office is obviously too big to work for the candidate, just the client. read more
