I will say this, you're going to see those nurses and that surgeon SO MANY times post-op and not be charged any more. They will answer emails and phone calls to calm you down and fit you in same day if you're experiencing any kind of concerns and just want them to take a look. I've never healed as well from anything... not even a paper cut, as well as I have from this surgery. I know Dr. Reid uses a special fancy pants cutting tool that aids in healing better, and wow...I can tell. I also highly recommend you ask for the information of the private nurse that you can hire to take care of you after surgery. If I hadn't done that for the first 24 hrs my family would have been sooo overwhelmed. He does an awesome job of marketing himself. In his add he revealed that he has performed thousands of explant surgeries. So why when I had to cancel my surgery did I not get refunded ANY of my $27,634.00? I was charged $500 for the first consult, which I understood, $4,294.00 for your testing/health protocol, which I also understood and then $ 22,840.00 up front for the explant surgery. I took a very last minute opening in his schedule so I could not give him the 30 day notice his contract requires when I canceled. I was unable to travel to Austin for the surgery due to complications that came up with my partner's stage 4 lung cancer treatment and on top of that my 96 year old dad had a health emergency. I was told there are no refunds. I understand there are ramifications for cancelling, but I am out nearly $30,000! After digging deeper and reading several scary reviews and discussing my ordeal with friends in the SF Bay Area whose explants cost less than half of what Dr. Whitfield charges, I no longer felt confident and trusting in having Dr. Whitfield do my explant. I then began to dig through their before/after pics and loved that they did not have that over the top fake look and that they all seemed body proportionate which is exactly what I wanted. While perusing the surgical options, I came across labiaplasty. I had never heard of it, but on RealSelf, the rate was almost 100%. After looking at before/after photos and decided I wanted that surgery as well. I made an appt for a consultation where I met Dr. Justin Booth and his assistant Christine Powell and they answered all of my questions and were patient. I definitely went over the allotted time, but I was never rushed. I have never considered getting breast augmentation and was not aware that surgeons do not go by cup sizes, but CC's. Dr. Booth measured me and gave me the max CC's for my frame and I then tried on the various Sientra silicone aka, gummy bear implants, which helped a lot. While they do not have pics online of labiaplasty, Dr. Booth performs them frequently. Their pricing was better than I expected and I was given a folder full of everything I needed to know about my upcoming surgeries, appt dates, and times, as well as pre & post op instructions. By the time I left, I loved both Dr. Booth and Christine and felt very comfortable with my upcoming surgeries. Prior to my surgeries, I came in to discuss current meds, post op meds, any last minute questions/concerns and etc. The surgery is performed in house at their surgical suite which is located next to the office. As soon as I arrived, everything went as scheduled and the nurses were all awesome. The next day, I received a call from Jenny, Dr. Booth's nurse and was provided her personal cell in the event I was experiencing any adverse pain or reactions. Due to their thorough explanations, I was fully prepared for what to expect and my healing process went accordingly. I am at the 6 week mark and to say I am obsessed with my body is an understatement! I cannot say enough about how grateful I am to Dr. Justin Booth and his entire staff. When I was able to have surgery to have them removed, I was still left with a mass amount of weight that my body had built up to protect them. I went to several drs and after meeting Dr. Scott Haydon I went with his services for liposuction. I went in super nervous, but unlike at my consultation he just seemed to be so handsy. He touched me constantly which I can understand for some can be a way to build trust - but it was so often it was uncomfortable. I should have listened to my instincts and cancelled the procedure. I went home in a lot of pain and couldn't wait to finally see the results. So I waited and waited and waited. And months went by.... and nothing. I called the office (I assumed they would call me to schedule a follow-up but apparently once they get their money they are done). I told them that I thought something was wrong and they granted me a follow up appointment with Dr Haydon. I went in and again - his overly touchy self made me super uncomfortable. I told him that I hadn't lost any weight and had actually gained weight. He told me this was just swelling and it would go down. This was 3 months later. He told me that I would eventually see results in weight and in inches and actually recommended I get a breast reduction to match my soon to be back to normal small frame. Are you kidding me?!?!?!??!?!? Two years later and I lost no weight, no inches and nothing changed. I feel used and lied to. I got no response when I called and asked to address these issues. Here it is 5 years later...... and this mofo has decided to add me to his email list. NOW! After all this time. When I saw the email I knew immediately that unsubscribing was not the only solution. I needed to tell my story because crooks like this don't deserve people like me who already went thru so much in life to also be ripped off.
