There are public restrooms. There is a picnic area with a bunch of tables as well as benches all around the playground areas that are mostly shaded! There are also large grassy areas, and basketball and tennis courts. Parking is easy, street parking all around the park. All around great park.

And was perfect for her to burn off some steam. There is a volleyball court (that didn't have a net but nonetheless awesome! Most parks don't have that.) Also had 2 table tennis courts. A beautiful green baseball field that looks to be in renovation or something. And the basketball courts were just awesome. We will definitely be coming back here again.

I avoid drinking fluids at all cost even after chasing my kids around. Many neighborhood parks smaller than Rubio has restroom and often wonder who decides which parks gets restroom? Moving on, there are 2 play structure which are on the smaller side for this size of a park. There is no shade. There is one area that has picnic tables and a bbq pit that is first come first serve basis. This park was design for those who can walk here. Nice clean park for those who live close by. Definitely not a park you drive out of the way for.

Nearby, Timpany Center allows for drop-in basketball (need to check their calendar) for similar cost of $5. The only difference is Timpany is an older court and only 2 baskets compared to Bascom's 6 baskets.

Raleigh Linear Green (RLG) is an approximate 5-acre park that's hidden away in deep south San José…read more Due to the (still under construction) surrounding housing development, RLG was built as a turnkey project to fulfill the requirements of the Parkland Dedication Ordinance (PDO), which states that a developer must provide 3-acres of parkland for every 1,000 anticipated residents. RLG is built on a PG&E easement, and is surrounded by huge transmission towers with active power lines looming overhead. This is also how it gets the "linear" moniker, which means that it's longer than it is wide. A good portion of this park (±50%) is dedicated to fenced off areas that are essentially gussied up drainage ditches for all the local outfalls. RLG lacks more than it has, but -as has become customary with my park reviews- here is a list: -x2 Full Basketball Courts -Pathetic fitness area -Decent little dog park located at the south end -Street parking on the westerly side of Raleigh Rd. -NO Playground -NO Picnic Tables or BBQ Pits -NO Restrooms -NO grassy fields for sports The only good thing about RLG is it's Dog Park, but why would you go here when there's a much nicer one (Miyuki) less than a mile away? This park has no redeeming qualities about it, and was obviously built to satisfy PDO requirements. Otherwise, it would never exist, and as far as I'm concerned--it doesn't.

A buddy and I visited the skate spot about one year ago, before it was finished. It turned into a nice, small area to skate with stairs, rails, and a dual quarter, along with a curved ledge. It just so happened to be right after Easter weekend and the plentiful garbage bins were 100% overflowing. With that said, the parks still came off quite tidy. Park visitors clearly made the effort to throw things away in appropriate areas and overflowed garbage bags were placed right along the bathroom building. City workers stopped by shortly after and BAM!! Everything was cleared and cleaned. Doerr Park comes recommended for children of all ages. There is a kiddy area and a more advanced play structure for the older kids in your life. The structure provides a lot of American Ninja Warrior vibes as opposed to your basic swing set and slide. 5/5 stars. This park is so bomb!!!
