The fact that there is no dedicated parking for the park really underscores this neighborhood-oriented atmosphere. I don't personally use the tennis courts or the half-court basketball area, but I often see others making good use of them. In terms of facilities, the restrooms are consistently well-maintained, and the park as a whole feels very well-kept. Between the open space and the playground, it's a very pleasant, quiet environment--a great spot for local families.

It's a very large park though but 70% of the area has basically just grass and trees. It's like a regional park but a lot smaller. Not many people come to this park but you'll see many coming from an area where the playgrounds are at. They should kinda add more sport areas or play places in the park just to maybe fill up some spaces.

There's a huge gazebo in the center to provide shade along with trees scattered. I've never been in their restrooms so no idea if they're clean or not. Years ago we came here for a school field trip where the kids got to play in the water area, which is perfect for a hot summer day. There's also swings and play equipment. There's also grills and picnic tables for people to enjoy a lunch outdoors. They have a decent size parking lot and plenty of street parking as well.

It is not super big, yet good-sized for a neighborhood park, and it is situated in a nice area. There is a parking lot and available parking on the street. The only thing I think they lacked are bags for dog owners and a dog's drinking fountain. We are not likely to return, but if you live nearby, it is a fine place to go for a short walk, with or without a dog, or perhaps a picnic.

There are public restrooms. There is a picnic area with a bunch of tables as well as benches all around the playground areas that are mostly shaded! Raleigh Linear Green (RLG) is an approximate 5-acre park that's hidden away in deep south San José…read more Due to the (still under construction) surrounding housing development, RLG was built as a turnkey project to fulfill the requirements of the Parkland Dedication Ordinance (PDO), which states that a developer must provide 3-acres of parkland for every 1,000 anticipated residents. RLG is built on a PG&E easement, and is surrounded by huge transmission towers with active power lines looming overhead. This is also how it gets the "linear" moniker, which means that it's longer than it is wide. A good portion of this park (±50%) is dedicated to fenced off areas that are essentially gussied up drainage ditches for all the local outfalls. RLG lacks more than it has, but -as has become customary with my park reviews- here is a list: -x2 Full Basketball Courts -Pathetic fitness area -Decent little dog park located at the south end -Street parking on the westerly side of Raleigh Rd. -NO Playground -NO Picnic Tables or BBQ Pits -NO Restrooms -NO grassy fields for sports The only good thing about RLG is it's Dog Park, but why would you go here when there's a much nicer one (Miyuki) less than a mile away? This park has no redeeming qualities about it, and was obviously built to satisfy PDO requirements. Otherwise, it would never exist, and as far as I'm concerned--it doesn't.

It isn't too steep to climb and you will get a decent workout if you go around/up it a few times. The views at the top of the hill are beautiful! There are also tennis courts, a skate park, a basketball court, a sand volleyball section, and a children's playground all around the park. There's something for everyone! It's not a park to have a hardcore hike but one could definitely get a good 'walk' in as the trails are easy and the crowd is generally comprised of locals from the neighborhood. I have successfully completed a 5 mile "hike" multiple times here -- just had to keep walking up and down, and all around. The park also has workout stations -- although, many of them are closed right now due to COVID19 but an average person could get a good cardio workout and get in some strength based exercises here (pull-up bars, etc.). Parking is easy as this park is aligned with a huge residential area. P.S. there are no public restrooms with the exception of seasonal porta potties so you should probably go before you plan on visiting. P.S.S. this park is popular for youngsters to "be youngsters" after hours so be cognizant if you're trying to plan a romantic date.
