I scored this a 3 because it was very lackluster, the burrito is a fair size, however approximately 25% of it was folded tortilla. The wet sauce was basic flavor, tasted canned. I paid $9.50 for a wet bean and cheese burrito, price seems excessive for beans, cheese, tortilla and canned red sauce. The menu showed $6.50 for the burrito, meaning the wet sauce was a large up charge. I got red and green sauce on the side, the green was bland, red had a little spice. Drive through is a little tight for larger vehicles. Small parking lot for free parking. No inside dining, but they do have some tables in front and walk up window to order. Service was average. Probably wouldn't go back to this location, there are too many other options for Mexican food in SD. read more

Pretty disappointed. I've lived in San Diego all my life so I know Mexican food. Waited in the drive-through for 35 minutes, even though there were only six cars. By far worst potato breakfast burrito I've had in all of San Diego. The fries were hard and undercooked, the portion size was mediocre for the price and they charged 1.50$ extra for egg that they didn't mention until we got to the window to pay. One of the best Mexican places around the area. Their fries are always good and crispy and their bean and cheese never disappoints!! Definitely would make a 10-15 drive just to come here instead of anywhere else around the area!! Service is always good and they aren't greedy with their salsas which is super rare nowadays. They failed to mention that they are currently charging an extra for eggs now because of the shortage. If you are going to charge a credit card service fee, then post it or tell me verbally. That is a 8% increase in my bill. When I asked the employee about it he just shrugged. Food: Well, it's a taco shop. So... But my wife said that their beef tacos were the bomb. I've had plenty of beef tacos in the past and I didn't think they were incredible, but she liked them and said she would be back. Also, they gave us a poop-ton (I'm trying to be PC) of salsas. The outside could use a fresh coat of paint. Otherwise, it's a taco shop. It's not the outside of the place but the quality of the food that counts. I mean, classic taco stands in Mexico are on the side of the road (literally!) so I would not really complain about this place. Price: Cheap! Very affordable. I think for my family of 4 it was like 22$ for a good, solid Mexican meal. And like I said before, the B&C burritos were huge. Service: This was probably the only downside and why this isn't a 5-star review. The drive thru was insane. We waited over 30 minutes in line. Now... for good food, it's worth it but it still was a little discouraging. But, my wife has a saying about dentists. If you can't get in an appointment for a month or two, that's usually a good sign. If you can schedule a visit the next day, that should be a little suspicious. There is always a long line when I go but it goes very quick. Good is always fresh and hot! I love their red salsa and it's very spicy. This is the most convenient taco shop in lakeside. The competition is big when it comes to taco shops in SD, so I can't say that they are the best, BUT they are good. I come here often mainly because they are close, and convenient. I like that I don't have to get out of my car to get my food. Let's be real, it's usually a Saturday morning when I'm hungover looking like crap, so having a drive thru is a big deal to me. The staff is always friendly and they are usually pretty quick. Except on weekends I have noticed there is ALWAYS a long line in the mornings between 9am - noon. All of east county shows up trying to get their breakfast burritos.
