not rocket science, they should hire more help for their later shifts. chicken isn't fully cooked, sliced cheese, 90% grease.

This spot was falling off past few yrs. Only went cuz I work graveyard & nothing else to buy in NC. Been seeing more reviews on SM since it's supposed to be the OG Bertos. Still wish I could get steak n egg burrito 24/7 like I used to 5yrs ago. Maybe owner is actually reading reviews & comments. Salsa bar was fresh and clean, my taco and carne asada was stuffed with meat & was able to make 2 tacos. Still looking for some more salt & seasoning in the salsas and meat. The salsa roja used to be so good, it's really bland & flat now.Took a nice nap after my meal. Service was fine and I got my order before I could even fill up my salsa cups.

Roberto's taco shop is perfect after a night out! Glad they stay open pretty late as they are pretty quick with their service. I've tried the carne asada fries and rolled taquitos and both were good. This is a good o'l reliable.

I went here for a burrito because it was 30 years since I first ate a carne asada burrito with good friends in San Diego. When I saw it was around the corner from the mechanic shop where I was waiting, I went to grab some lunch. The burrito was just ok. The meat was pretty tasty but it wasn't hot, as if it was resting and not reheated before it went in the tortilla. Thankfully, that was nice and hot and grilled. I got it with no rice and beans, just guacamole and pico de gallo, and it was big, I'll say that. It was over $17 too. Man, inflation hurts. The red salsa was damn good though and honestly I'll go back again, despite the good, not great.

We had the rolled tacos and the beef taco with a chicken burrito. By far the best Mexican food I've had, ever! Great food, great service!

As my wife was eating her roll tacos, she bit down on something hard. Turns out it was this little BB, who know's if there was anymore in the food and if this was done intentionally. Who knows what other people have ingested.

Classic traditional Mexican food, soCal style OG. 5 rolled tacos is a staple and a favorite. See picture. We also ordered the chicken quesadilla. Big enough to feed two easily, but sucked, because it was mostly greasy tortilla. Little cheese and undesired chicken parts. My wife says Taco Bell is better!

Me and my son ordered carne asada fries and we both got sick the next day. Steer clear, this spot seems very unsanitary

Best Rolled Tacos in the Game! Hands Down. 6/5…read more It's been tried and it's been true. Where else can you get fresh AF, juicy, beef rolled tacos that are rolled and fried to order? I'm waiting.... I'll put La Lomitas rolled tacos up against anybody's, ANYBODY'S! Covered in freshly made, still green guacamole, tomatoes, and shredded cheese, these bad boys are smackin'! $9.25 for 5 rolled tacos isn't terrible, but you might as well phone a friend on some Who Wants to Be a Millionaire type ish and order that 12 pack for $16.99. Ya feel me? If you don't, you will. And don't forget to peep out all of the accoutrements at the salsa bar-4 different salsas, pickled red onions, limes, radishes, and hot carrots, all gratis my amigo. Say whaaaaaat!? Yes, they kindly ask that you don't go overboard and request you take only 2 salsas per item, but just don't be greedy and you should be fine. The salsa bar was super clean and the salsas were delicious. I've also had carne asada fries here (always ask for extra crispy) and they're delicious as well. If you're not asking for your carne asada fries to be extra crispy at any taco shop, you're just doing it wrong. Enjoy my friends! Thanks to La Lomita and crew for coming through again. You guys really shine.

Service can be a little hit or miss depending on who's at the register but nothing horrible. The area itself isn't the greatest and you'll definitely get that classic hood taco shop vibe but honestly that's usually where the good food is at. Overall the food keeps me coming back

You order and pay first, then they call your name when everything's ready. Service was nice and straightforward. The salsa bar was clean and stocked with fresh limes, two salsas, and radishes. There are a few tables inside plus a bigger table, but we chose to sit outside on the patio. It was clean, comfortable, and the weather made it easy to eat outside. Cabeza: $3.69. Super juicy and packed with flavor. If you like cabeza, this one hits. It came with onions and cilantro and didn't need much else. Lengua: $4.38. Lengua is usually my go-to, and this one was cooked really well. Not greasy at all, which I appreciated. The texture was right, and the flavor was solid, especially with extra lime. I enjoyed it, but I wouldn't order more than one at that price. Adobada: $3.69 each. These were my husband's favorite. They come with a creamy green salsa that isn't at the salsa bar, and it pairs really well with the pork. Probably the safest order here. I'd come back to try other items since they have a lot of different cuts and styles, but the prices do make you pause a little, especially if you're ordering multiple tacos.

You now have to pay first, then wait for your food to be made. I actually preferred the old setup where you could walk to the different stations, pick your tacos, watch them prepare everything fresh, get it packed up, and then pay at the end. It felt like part of the experience. We also have to talk about the pricing. I remember when these tacos were around $1.25 each. Now they're over $4 for a mini street taco. I understand this is California and the cost of goods has increased, but that is a drastic jump. That said, I don't want to take away from the food because the tacos are still excellent. I ordered two buche tacos and a quesadilla, and both were 10 out of 10. They don't miss when it comes to seasoning and flavor. The service is still quick as well. My only real complaint is the price. It feels overpriced for what you're getting, and honestly, it may explain why there weren't many people there when we visited. There were only a handful of customers inside. The food is still worth trying, but be prepared for some serious sticker shock.
